This company is solid. Mario is a very detailed individual explaining every problem with my draining issues. He even proved to me on several points of failure.

Straight up and honest at a fair price. Buying an old house can be fun. lol.

One star is too much for this company! I have not forgotten the terrible service I received from MARIO when I was forced to use this company through American Home Shield. He was extremely unprofessional and belligerent on the phone and in person. I see that the company has now closed and I can see why. He had no regard for how he treated his customers and didn't care that I was offended and unhappy. Even though he could not fix my problem, which I would have understood, his attitude and the way he handled the call was appalling. Glad to see they are no longer in business.

Mario is NOT someone you want in your house doing work on your plumbing. Unprofessional is only the start of his problems. First thing he said when seeing my water heater is that it wasn't placed properly. Ummm...I just moved in and am not responsible for that. Then he moved my washer and dryer so he could work on it which he never moved back. He worked on a water heater without placing down rags or anything else to deal with the water that leaked out which made it over 15feet to some boxes. I started cleaning it up so my things would not be damaged and he walked out of the garage only to come back a few minutes later as I was done and say ""I would have taken care of that"".

But none of that is the worst. My husband had turned our water heater down because it was constantly too hot. Mario decided he knew better than our settings (there are only letter labels to set it, not numbers) and turned it back up again. He told me he put it at 120F. NOT!!! Idiot never came in and checked. Just took off. Water temperature was at over 190F!!!! I have small children in the house who could have been seriously injured by this. When I called and told him, he was very blase and what do you want me to do about it???

Oh, and the problem he came out to fix? Still not fixed! Avoid this incompetent person at all cost!

I have had American Home Shield for years and never write reviews, but I was so impressed today that I had to post. Mario Francisco came because of a call to AHS. We had a leak in our faucet. Turns out that AHS doesn't cover those. While he was on hold, Mario fixed my toilet handle (this never happens. With AHS you have to register the problem first before they'll touch it). Then he told me that he charges $120 to install a faucet, but he'd do it for another $60 (I had to pay $60 just for the visit). Nice. He got in, opened up the faucet, said ""oh, it is just a little thing. Do you want me to fix it?""

So he ended up fixing the toilet and sink, neither of which were covered by the AHS warranty, and he did it without charging more, and actually wouldn't accept any more money.

Not particularly unctuous, but straightforward and has always given us very good service, but today was over and above. Thanks!

We had a plumbing stoppage at our rental property over the weekend, and we left Mario a message. He not only called back first thing Monday, he scheduled a window for us in the afternoon, came over, took great measures to diagnose the problem, and fixed it promptly. This was a great help and great peace of mind, for landlord and tenant. We will always call Mario first! Thank you, Mario!!

I have used American Plumbing for several years through American Home Shield. I'm not sure why anyone would find fault with this company. Mario is the owner and is generous, honest, respectful and really knows his trade. I have never had an issue with this company and have hired them outside of my AHS policy to do various other plumbing jobs for me. The work has always been done very well, for a competitive price and by polite professional people. Doesn't get much better than this.

Holy Cow! From reading the other reviews, I totally must've dodged the proverbail bullet here! We too have a home warranty from AHS and had a stopped drain for laundry. The guy came out and was totally polite and cordial. He explained the situation very clearly. He told us why we had the problem and what he would do to correct the situation. He proceeded to trouble-shoot the whole problem. He double-checked his work to make sure everything was working fine before he left. He did leave water on the garage floor but that's not his issue; I didn't expect him to clean up my mess. Good service all around. My 4-star rating is for Jason, the employee. I had no interaction with anyone else at the company. Too bad his boss seems not to ""get it"" judging from the other reviews.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Mario and his company. I had the misfortune of crossing paths with this guy when my home warranty service recommended him.

I found Mario to outright lie to me on several occasions. He damaged my property, made offensive remarks to me about people of color, was generally offensive when I would politely ask him questions and would rarely follow up without several phone calls.

IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE AN EXTREMELY RUDE, LYING, UNRESPONSIVE, INCOMPETENT AND INCONSIDERATE PLUMBER WITH MARGINALLY RACIST TENDENCIES I'D SAY CALL THESE FOLKS BY ALL MEANS.

However, if you expect to be treated with respect, have someone care about their work, do a good job, not damage your property, not complain about having to do the job, and not have someone make offense remarks to you, then I would AVOID THESE PEOPLE LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I have never received such incompetent and rude service in my entire life. It was indescribably poor. However, compared with the behavior others have reported in their reviews, I got off easy.
