A technician from American Plumbing and Drain was dispatched by AHS to look at my water heater which was making grinding noises. He was rude to my tenant, told him that this was the result of purchasing a ""cheap water heater,"" and he did nothing to address the noises. An unpleasant experience and waste of money.

PLUMBING CATASTROPHE SOLVED!! When I went into my garage this morning, I found that the water heater had leaked A LOT!! I called the plumber that I had used many times before and once again, he saved me. He said it definitely needed replacing -- the leakage was bad enough but it was also making a very loud noise. He was over in 2 hrs and within another 2 hrs, my water heater was replaced and problem was solved. Realize that this was on a Saturday of a holiday weekend! He is amazing and I wanted to share his contact info with anyone who could use a plumber they can trust and would be fair. The guy's name is Mario and he owns American Plumbing - 650 465-3887. If you need plumbing help, Mario will not disappoint you.

I wish I could give this guy Mario 10 STARS!
I contacted him as I wanted to replace my kitchen faucet as it was not function properly event though only two years old. I also had a problem with my washing machine flooding and asked him to check if it was the drain.
Mario provided a time range --arrived 10 minutes early and waited as I out on an errand. Within 30 minutes he left. He go behind my heavy LG washing machine and confirmed it was the washing machine and not plumbing. Advised me that I should have a manufacturers warranty that should cover the problem. He looked at my faucet and told me it could be fixed with a $20 part from Amazon --even searched and showed me the part. He was happy to replace if I insisted but he said he didn't want to just make money --note I already had purchased a new faucet for $300 which is going right back to the hardware store. Never in all my years have I met someone so honest and kind. PS --he was also very good to my obnoxious dog. Always always always call Mario! :)

Mario was extremely rude to my tenants and Me. After the repair, the faucet still leaks, but he won't go back to take care of it. Instead, he wanted me to open up the wall, charge an arm and leg to amplify the issue for profit.

Mario was sent here to repair some plumbing issues by my home warranty company - American Home Shield - and I saw that his prior Yelp reviews were not good. However, this looks like a classic example of the squeaky wheel as I found him to be very professional and knowledgeable about our pipe leak and repair! Good guy as well. Definitely recommend him and I have very high standards for contractors.

dispatched from AHS, saying that my hot/cold water dispenser is not covered under the contract, since it is connected to filtration system. But how can a hot/cold water dispenser not connected into a Water filtration/purification system in most of the house configuration.

2nd opinion contractor actually disagreed with their diagnosis, but they insisted on their diagnosis and refused any repair.
