We are looking to have someone else come to our house after American Leak Detection said they couldn't find a leak (although clearly the pool is still losing water). They told us they fixed a spot, but the water situation has not improved. When I called, they completely dismissed me. Instead of looking to find the real issue, they took the money from the test and left.

Awful company to work with. I called to make an appointment and the receptionist insisted on getting a credit card to pay for the service before even making the appointment. I gave her my credit card information as they require payment before even making the appointment (Who does that???).
Anyway, she put me on hold and came back a few minutes later to tell me they would not help me with my leak. No explanation, no reason, just we won't help you. Whaaaaaat? I never heard of such thing....
Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time, move on to the next company, there are plenty that are willing to work.

We had a water main leak at our house. I had a plumber we have used many years come out and see if he could detect where the leak might be. He didn't find anything obvious. So I asked at work about leak detection and 4 coworkers all recommended American Leak Detection of Austin. I called them on Monday and they were able to get me scheduled on Thursday.

They were on time and were quickly able to find our leak. The plumber was also shocked how they found exactly where it was at. The guys who came out were very professional and found it in about 50 minutes. Turns out my house is on limestone and the water was going straight down into the aquafer so there was no sign of moisture at the surface. I would have had to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars to find the leak because my house is on a large lot. Thankfully American Leak Detection found it quickly and my plumber could fix the leak the next morning.

Found two leaks. did a great job explaining to me what the problem was and how it would be fixed. also after he found the first leak he didn't quit he kept looking and found that second week, which was very important. Very happy with the service.

Charged me $300 for 45 min of work. Did not find the leak. Wanted another $450 to come back with more equipment. Declined. Ripoff

The technician came out to our home multiple times. They fixed what they said was the leak which ended up not to be the leak (and charged us). Each time they came back looking for the leak they wanted more money (which we paid). The customer service folks were abrasive. We paid them several thousand dollars and our pool still leaks. I will never use this company again and would not suggest them to anyone.
