Had a home in Miramar that had pinhole leaks from the water. Other local plumber wanted to replace all pipes and 2x cost- American Leak knew the problem exactly (they have experienced it a lot in the area), and proposed a solution that was 35% less than the other plumber who wanted to replace everything. They did a great job and it's been over 2 years since and no leaks.

Thank you for your excellent service. Your technician was very professional, through and knowledgeable. He identified exactly where the leak was.  We tried another company first and they said we had to dig up the entire run to find the leak, because it was too small.  We rembered that we used your company a couple years ago and you found the leak. Great job. We will always call you first and recommend your company to others. Thanks John Davis Harris Chapel Church  Check mailed March 22,2024 Sent from my T-Mobile 5G Device

We had a leak in our pool and called AMERICAN LEAK DETECTION as recommended by Pinch a Penny. They charged 375 cash and guaranteed to find the leak for 30 days or your money back. They even have """"mystery leaks"""" on the side of their truck. They sent texts and let us know when they would arrive, who the tech was and sounded pretty good. But the guy couldn't find the leak in the one hour slot allowed. Then he set up a 5 gallon bucket to check for evaporation and said he'd be back. but the leak was so bad I had to top it off every 3 days, so it felt like I was being called a liar or they were just buying time. A week later he comes back, rechecks everything and finds a leak and caulked it... he heavily caulked All the supply vents and broke 3 of them, 2 of the shutoff valve handles and the skimmer plate thingy. They were sun worn and get brittle so no big deal, he said he would order me some new ones and I said I would be happy to pay for them. He was so relieved to find it as his boss would have to come back if he didn't find it. I was happy too and gave him a 20 dollar tip. 2 days later, I notice the pool was still going down but half as fast and called them back. The boss showed up all pissy like I was bothering him and couldn't find the 2nd. leak. He cut my pipes and said he did a pressure test on all the lines but I watched him and he did not test the lower drain as he didn't want on put on his dive suit, I guess. Then he called the office and they told him to tell me they would give me my money back. I said, I don't want a refund, I need to get the pool fixed and I'd pay more if needed. He walked away from me while were talking, got in his truck and rolled the window up on me. I called the office and the lady made me set up another evaporation bucket and take pictures over the next 7 days, which I did to comply and eliminate any other possibilities. By this time it had been over 30 days and she called and said my warrantee was up, there was no leak and no refund. I just topped my pool off again today... still have a slow leak. I have all the E mails and can prove all of this. You can see the pine dust lines, indicating about 1/2"""" loss a day. She wanted to argue it was only 1/4""""... then says it's not leaking at all.... No Refund. I never asked for a refund. I just want the pool fixed and not be called a liar.

I was charged a $400 fee for a bogus report. The leak is not where the American Leak Detection plumber said it was. And they don't answer my calls for repairs or from the plumber that made the report, nor are they willing to look into finding where the leak comes from once they were paid. I can not delete my previous review. I seems that I did not give them enough time to review my problem and we now have a solution. I was at fault for not giving them enough time.

I received service from American leak detection on 4/12/22 I was told I had no leak that water was coming up from ground as my son son had water in his bedroom. As per recommendation from technician we applied liquid water barrier and laid down new floorin. I recently purchased a new dishwasher and discovered water on floor under dishwasher. I assumed the dishwasher was leaking and discovered a crack in the drain pipe which was causing the leak all along. The worst company ever. Buyer beware.

Soooo, there's been a leak in my garage for over a week now. I have a service contract with Pride and they came out thi king it was the water heater. It wasn't. They said possibly washing machine or slab leak. They suggested I keep an eye on washer. Yes....leaks on my floor when I wash clothes. Called Pride back...mind you every time I call I have to wait many days before they come out. Anyway they came yesterday to check the washer. They said no way its the washer, it's a slab leak. So today I called American Leak Detection and they came when they said they would, called me with an ETA. James came 8n and very thoroughly checked everything out and come to find out there is a leak in the drain line of the washing machine. This was the very best news I could have received. I tell you I was flipping out thinking my house would be torn apart to fix pipes underneath and the expense! I woke up today with a massive headache. So James is my new favorite person and I have to deal with Pride again.

I tend not to write reviews to much but thought this would be a good case. I would not recommend this place at all. I paid $500 for someone to come out a do a non-destructive leak detection and let me tell you, this guy had no clue. They never traced any plumbing lines, so they had no real idea what were actual lines and what was being picked up as electrical lines because they were doing a non-destructive leak detection. I even narrowed it down to the hot water because my tile floor was extremely warm in one area, which showed up on IFR, and my water and electric bill doubled. He picked up some lines and was confused to why he was picking up lines in the attic but also showed lines in the floor? The guy called several people while he was at my house and everything he tried got no 100% accuracy or even 50% of the line that was leaking. They never went and actually looked in the attic to see where and if any lines were running in the attic. After all said and done because I didn't want to keep going and pay them more money they gave me a recommendation to cut a line that was connected to my washer and dryer and said that would fix the problem. So I decided to try another company and pay another $500 to tell me where the problem was. I told them what was recommended to do and before doing anything they said do not cut that line, it was not the one leaking. We did end up cutting the line and capping it to see if it was the leaker and guess what, the leak didn't stop!! I ended up going with a little destructive leak detecting and we ended up finding the leak which was a line not even discussed during my leak detection with this company.

I live in Palmetto Bay and discovered I had a leak when I got a whopping big bill from Miami-Dade Water & Sewer. Based on the fact that I kept topping up my pool every day, I called Tuttle's Pool and they recommended American Leak Detection of South Florida (305) 948-4303. I had the good fortune to have Alejandro (Alex) assigned as my service tech. He was prompt, courteous and very quickly found my problem. It turned out I had 2 leaks in my pool. A small one in the filter and a larger one behind the pool light. Alex, had to dive around the pool to confirm and then repair the leak. I don't think they were cheap but it was worth it and they were good. I've read all the reviews and unfortunately some of the issues depend on the tech you got. I was fortunate but ultimately it's up to the company to provide a consistent level of service and my 5 stars go to Alex and of course, in some part to the company that hired him but that will all go for naught if they keep their lousy techs or policies that allow some of these things to happen. Oh, I included the phone number to service to separate tye company that I got from the others. There seemed to be a lot of franchises out there. Donald Lee Palmetto Bay, Fl.
