I tend not to write reviews to much but thought this would be a good case. I would not recommend this place at all. I paid $500 for someone to come out a do a non-destructive leak detection and let me tell you, this guy had no clue. They never traced any plumbing lines, so they had no real idea what were actual lines and what was being picked up as electrical lines because they were doing a non-destructive leak detection. I even narrowed it down to the hot water because my tile floor was extremely warm in one area, which showed up on IFR, and my water and electric bill doubled. He picked up some lines and was confused to why he was picking up lines in the attic but also showed lines in the floor? The guy called several people while he was at my house and everything he tried got no 100% accuracy or even 50% of the line that was leaking. They never went and actually looked in the attic to see where and if any lines were running in the attic. After all said and done because I didn't want to keep going and pay them more money they gave me a recommendation to cut a line that was connected to my washer and dryer and said that would fix the problem. So I decided to try another company and pay another $500 to tell me where the problem was. I told them what was recommended to do and before doing anything they said do not cut that line, it was not the one leaking. We did end up cutting the line and capping it to see if it was the leaker and guess what, the leak didn't stop!! I ended up going with a little destructive leak detecting and we ended up finding the leak which was a line not even discussed during my leak detection with this company.

The plumber (I can't remember his name unfortunately) did a fine job and so did Diane. This was at the time of the hurricane so it took awhile to repair because of all the problems everyone had but it did get done to my satisfaction. However, their prices are astronomical. The plumber said up front that it would be my expense but $350.00 to come to my house and it took him 15 minutes to find the leak is a bit much in my opinion. To repair the leak was $1395.00 (ouch) and to replace the pipe from the meter to my house was $2495.00 (ouch, ouch). I have no intention of moving so opted for the latter. A very expensive repair but it had to be done. BEWARE, my neighbor had the same problem and once our water was back on, our water heaters started leaking.... we both had to replace that next and I don't think it was a coincidence but a casualty of the repair.

After paying a $350 fee for plumbing leak detection, I received an estimate of $2,550 from Adam D. of American Leak Detection to repair the leaking sleeved plumbing line. Instead, I used an honest company, All Repair Plumbing, which did the work in 4 hours and charged only $1,150 - less than one half. Do yourself a favor and don't use this company on any repair job.

Made an appointment based on my insurance companies recommendation 3 hours late no one answers the phone in the office the gentleman came was very professional but could not find a leak left I called for a follow up at least six times and I got no call back last thing I got was the bill nothing was found nothing was repaired no follow up very disappointing because I was in trouble with the water leak and needed some help

Soooo, there's been a leak in my garage for over a week now. I have a service contract with Pride and they came out thi king it was the water heater. It wasn't. They said possibly washing machine or slab leak. They suggested I keep an eye on washer. Yes....leaks on my floor when I wash clothes. Called Pride back...mind you every time I call I have to wait many days before they come out. Anyway they came yesterday to check the washer. They said no way its the washer, it's a slab leak. So today I called American Leak Detection and they came when they said they would, called me with an ETA. James came 8n and very thoroughly checked everything out and come to find out there is a leak in the drain line of the washing machine. This was the very best news I could have received. I tell you I was flipping out thinking my house would be torn apart to fix pipes underneath and the expense! I woke up today with a massive headache. So James is my new favorite person and I have to deal with Pride again.

after paying plumbers to diagnose my leak and give me the wrong diagnosis, Milton found my leaks and saved the day. I learned an expensive lesson. plumbers can fix but not find your leak. Leak detectors and their employee, Milton's tenacity saved me from water damage all over my floor. I highly recommend them.

Used the services of the South Florida location. The field agent Robert was very knowledgeable and made me avoid taking expensive measures for a seemingly alarming situation into realizing that my tenant kept the apartment too hot, the AC was not well maintenanced and could not cool the air and keep it dry. The office on the other hand were a nightmare to deal with. Diane is the 'pay for our services then byebye' type who will not even offer a 'sorry for your convenience' when canceling a planned tech visit after the planned time. The tech is sick, yes I understand, but there are more courteous ways to communicate with customers, and especially not answering emails when they are too confrontational to your liking is a lousy way of performing customer service. Must I talk about the report? The report that was handed to me (a $350 dollar piece of report!) was more of a crypted long SMS with no flow, no presentation, no good grammar...'tech did this.' 'Tech found out that...this.' Really?? If I had not had the human explanation over the phone by the actual tech, I dunno how I'd have interpreted this gibberish. Must I also talk about the fact that contacting your office to be put in connection with someone ( a real human voicemail! 'I ll send them a message to contact you') in California who has no idea who I am (I can't even give a file number, I have to repeat my details over and over again!)) is highly ineficient? Anyway, I usually don't rant like this but this felt good to lift off my chest. I will use your services again though because there simply are too many actual scam leak detection companies in South Florida and its so tough to find one!! Peace!

Great experience using these folks. Showed up on time Good communication skills Clearly explained cost for project Fast & Professional We'll use them again for our next plumbing project

I had a serious leak in my pool, and was losing a lot of water. At first was hesitant about the price tag of detecting a leak, but the cost of feeling up the pool was getting higher. Making an appointment was easy and the technician was on time and very nice. He explained to me about the pool pump all the tests, but besides a few o-rings he couldn't find the leak. After repairing them I noticed a lot of water was still leaking, and was pleasantly surprised that as soon as I called back they send the technician again the next day. He ran ALL tests again to make sure and found yet another small leak in the skimmer, and applied a fix. However, once again after two weeks the pool leaked so much the water level was under the leak he found. I called once again, and with no questions asked send the technician a third time. He again ran ALL tests to make sure plumbing and all are in tact and finally found the leak, it was in a very unlikely place and very hard to find. He applied a temporary fix which has been holding up so far. The technician was always on time, always nice and very knowledgeable, and never left a mess. Although I did not have the perfect experience, and they had to return 3 times, they handled it with extreme professionalism both scheduling the appointments and the service itself. That for me is worth 5 stars.

Had a home in Miramar that had pinhole leaks from the water. Other local plumber wanted to replace all pipes and 2x cost- American Leak knew the problem exactly (they have experienced it a lot in the area), and proposed a solution that was 35% less than the other plumber who wanted to replace everything. They did a great job and it's been over 2 years since and no leaks.
