I want to thank Maureen, who was my first contact with American Leak Detection. She represented the entire company as the epitome of professionalism to me. I was very nervous because my pool was loosing water. Maureen's welcoming and calming voice lessened my anxiety. We made the appointment and Zach was next to represent this wonderful company. He diagnosed the problem in my pool at the skimmer. Less than a week later, Zack came back and fixed it in less than an hour. Zach is another person in this company that was so professional and great in fixing the skimmer in my West Sacramento home. I came home after a long day of work to find that I had water coming out of my three toilets and laundry washing machine. My houses was very wet and I was franticly calling around to get someone out to fix the problem. Not knowing much about plumbing I figured there was a leak in my lines somewhere so I called American Leak Detection. A lovely Irish man named Max came to my house and turned off the water. He was very friendly and courteous. He wore his mask the whole time and I felt very safe. He also showed me how to turn off the water myself so I could turn off the water to my house if this were to happen again in the future. He then used a highly sophisticated camera down the main plumbing line to see what was going on. I was very impressed with the top of the line equipment he used. He quickly found that it was just a large wad of toilet paper (likely from my 4 year old son who is learning to use the toilet) that was clogging the line. He quickly cleared the line and everything was back to normal. He cleaned up all of his work not leaving any debris or mess behind. I would highly recommended Max at American Leak Detection.

I have some cracks around a window and was concerned about possible water intrusion given that 3 houses around me had had whole sides of the house replaced due to water damage from leaks around windows. I called and Maureen set me up with an appointment the next day. Paul called to let me know when he was on the way and arrived with a face covering and stood back from the door. He asked me what my concerns were and looked around both outside and i side the house. He explained things to me and was patient with all my questions. Paul is very professional and personable and provided information so I felt I was able to make a good decision about what my next step was. It is so nice to see someone engaging, who has a good work ethic, and provides honest answers. Homeowner problems can be anxiety provoking for me and I felt comforted and reassured by the time he left.

We discovered a leak in the middle of our pool renovation project and needed someone out quickly to keep the project on track. American Leak Detection sent Neal G out within two days. Neal was very professional. He walked me through the whole process. He was very thorough, checking every component of the pool system. He found the leak in less than an hour. Job well done! My husband and I hired American Leak Detection Company for a second opinion for a leak in our pool when it was replastered July 2019. Based on our experience with this company our trust and confidence in their work, ethics, and customer relations is very poor.

Ultimately they found the leak in a skimmer which they said, after repeating a more expensive pressure test on pipes in the bottom of the pool, was where leaks are most often found. Clearly, their initial evaluation of the pool bottom pipes was unnecessary. Additionally it caused damage to the gear box which operates pop-ups in the bottom of the pool for cleaning.

After their unnecessary evaluation, the gear box which had never before malfunctioned, did so 3 times. The American Leak representative reported they repaired both the initial problems which happened during the test on the bottom and again a second time a few days later when it malfunctioned again. They refused to take any responsibility when the gear box malfunctioned a third time. This third time resulted in damage. but because the pool had been covered for the winter there was some delay in discovering the damage to the new plaster.

Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to talk to or get a return call from management at American Leak Detection Company. After several additional months and attempts to communicate with them about their responsibility to their customer in this matter, they finally returned a call and email to our legal representative, to say they bore no responsibility for any damage. Evidently either from them performing an unnecessary potentially damaging test that resulted in the initial failure of the gear box or for the damage to a newly plastered pool that occurred later when the gear box failed a third time.

We had American Leak Detection of Sacramento identify and repair a leak in our pool. Neal was the technician who identified an underground cracked pipe, replaced the cracked section of pipe and expertly patched the section of concrete with matching exposed aggregate rock. Neal was very professional, knowledgeable, and extremely skilled in performing each stage of the repair process. We could not be happier with the results of this job. It was truly top notch. We had Neal Grosz at the house today to repair a leak that was intense enough to cause some flooding. He was professional, talented and polite. The leak was stressful but we relaxed right away when we knew we were in very capable hands with Neal G. Unfortunately, the leak was under the walkway and a cut had to be made into it. It was so neatly done with very sharp right corners and when he installed the concrete patch he went to the trouble of getting a close color match to the area around it. Neal represents American Detection Leak very well. We are very pleased with his good work!

I contracted with American Leak Detection in response to a flooring contractor opinion that I could have a water pipe leaking under the house in the concrete slab. Based upon the American Leak Detection contract that was forwarded and the $395 fee, I was under the impression that the service provided would be more comprehensive. The technician was personable and professional. Although he was confident there was not a water leak in the slab, the reason for the moisture in the slab was not conclusive. The service did not include any examination of the waste or drain lines.
I contacted the company and provided feedback on my less than satisfactory experience and was told they we get back to me. Unfortunately I never received that return call.
