Tech charged good money but failed to detect the leak. Asked my older parents to call him everyday to see if the water had stopped and where he indicated the source of the the leak was totally wrong. To come back out they wanted to charge more money.

We had this company come out to our home in Rancho Mirage recently to locate a leak in our pool & spa. We spent over $900 in tests & several hundred dollars in gas bills to heat the pool & spa & they have been unable to locate the leak(s). Now their management refuses to discuss the situation with me which is very frustrating. Their customer service is poor & their follow up is virtually non-existent. Do yourself a favor & avoid this company !

Leaking pool. ALD diagnosis: leaking pipes between pool and pool equipment. Excavation showed dry, intact pipes. Real diagnosis: leak into pool light and wall between spa and pool. Cost to me $1,250 for excavation that ALD will not refund. I gave 2 stars as unlike some people, ALD did refund the leak detection fee.

I initiated an insurance claim due to an apparent water leak and wall damage (opened up with a 4-inch hole. My insurance co. hired ALD to diagnose the issue. Diagnosis: Upstairs toilet seal needs replacing.
Hired a plumber to do the work. REAL Diagnosis: MULTIPLE water leaks in the pipes right behind the hole in the wall which ALD didn't bother to open up to even check. Toilet seal was replaced for nothing because the plumber relied on ALD's diagnosis. Cost will be over $2000, plus the cost of drywall repair.
Thanks ALD. Please don't ever come back again.

I had a pretty sizable leak somewhere in my in-ground spa. I had a compant come out and they couldn't find it. A couple months later my water billed tripled so I got a recommendation for American Leak Detection. They came over 30 minutes after I called, explained their prices and went to work. They found the leak in about an hour after being in the freezing water for half that time. They're not the cheapest, but then you get what you pay for. The invoice is done digitally by email and when I received it, it didn't show the payment by check I made the day of service. I emailed the company and within 30 minutes I had the answer why. They send the ""paid"" invoice when the check clears. Great customer service for me!

We highly recommend American Leak for your leak detection needs. They were professional from the moment the scheduling office was contacted to the research by the leak detection specialist to the repairs made by plumbing technicians. Ron and Luis, their plumbing repair technicians were friendly and knowledgeable and completed the plumbing repairs with efficiency and expertise. They utilized a plumbing repair technique that kept the drywall damage to a bear minimum. For that we are very grateful. American Leak Detection was recommended by our insurance company and now we recommend them too.
