I call them because many years ago I found out I had a leak in my swimming pool and the did a great job. But since then I have moved to a house without a pool and my water bill was sky high so I decided to give them a call again so I did the call cost $475.00, to fine the leak . A very nice gentleman by the name of Tim came over and claim he found the leak he said that it was a very small leak .. and the office will call me and give me an appt. date which they did so Tim did return with a helper and he thought that he fix it . and they charge me $275.00 for a service call .. contact the DWP once again and the leak was still there .. so once again I call the company and again Tim came over with his helper and this time charge me $1,050.00, again called the DWP stiil had the Leak. once again Tim came with helper at no charge told me that the company would call me when he can return and I received a invoice saying the work was more or less completed and if I wanted to come to do more more the charge would be $275.00 .. when I was told by Tim that his work was under warrenty .. According to the DWP there is still a Leak although it is small .. but if it runs for 24 hours it ends up costing me more money .. would I call this company again I would not .. they have already charge me more money than I could afford and the leak is still leaking .. and if you do use a Credit Card it is a higher charge. But they do accept checks.I would not recommend this company to my worst friend .. they do not follow there warranty they just want to charge more money .. and times are really tough now with the Covid 19 going around and you are a Widow that really lives on a limited income... I HOPE THIS REVIEW HELP YOU AND DON'T USE THIS COMANY IF YOU WANT YOUR LEAK FIX

NOT GOOD is right !! The guy charged 750.00 and told me the WRONG place and after, jack hammering the spots he SAID !! NO LEAKS !!! WE F*** ED UP 10 K OF STONE WORK. THE WORST !! maybe if you have a SMALL noticeable leak, and they charge you 700.00 PLUS, good luck, otherwise as others have said, A JOKE And major dishonest and Destructive !!!!
DO NOT USE, DO NOT USE !!!!

From detection through to repair this company did an excellent job for us.
Their technician Augie has excellent skills, this young man can turn his hand to anything I'm sure.
Because of Augie and his care and attention to detail I have no problem recommending this company.

This is the second time we have used ALD to find and fix a leak in our 65-year old pool and it was a breeze both times. This review is for this repair in August 2021. Paul P. came out and ran the complete test of our pool and found two leaks, one we were aware of and one we were not, as well as other cracks that were not leaking but rather superficial. He submitted his report and an estimate was provided.
We felt the estimate was more than fair and scheduled the repair. Paul P. returned and completed the repair in one day. Once finished, he told us what to expect from the repair, when we could refill our pool and what to watch for. Usually, when workers leave, your place has debris or it's in the same situation as before. Paul made our place better. He had used our hose for cleaning and when he was done, he rolled it since it was in a pile previously. Who does that anymore? Above and beyond. Thank you!

Basically flushed $450 dollars faster than my pool continues to leak!! They came out once and made the claim it was the jacuzzi that drains into the pool. After shutting off pool for days and doing bucket test, the pool clearly leaks water faster than jacuzzi. They came out again after I called with my concerns and this time diagnosed the problem near the stairs exiting the pool and marked the adjacent concrete. I placed dye in this area where there was a noticeable crack at the tile and pool junction and no leak was there. Eventually we patched this area and replaced some broken tiles after draining the pool and of course, it's still leaking!! No surprises.
Save your money this is a chain that has no skin in the game. I think they hire people with no experience and your out $450.

American Leak Detection is a franchise company. This branch has only one decent technician: If you don't get lucky and get him assigned to your case, you are flushing your money away. The office staff is slow to respond. You may have to leave two or three messages, but why when another vendor will care more. My experiences left me with the same opinion as Aida C who wrote ""Stop and look elsewhere! Sadly this company doesn't really seem to care about finding leaks only about collecting their money"". I believe that a service company should equally care about both.

Pool had a leak, last year, they came to check the leaks for $475, recommended repairs w epoxy for an additional $350, which I paid, and 9 months later the pool started loosing water again and spa was draining to the pool is. Called them, and paid $475 again, and they fixed the same place again and advised me to change the check valve in the spa to correct the problem of emptying to the pool. I called them 30 days later since the spa started emptying back to the pool.
The woman on the phone told me that since I am under warranty, she will send the technician again, but beware-if they find out that this is a valve or other problem, I have to pay $ 200 service fee. She would not let me talk and started telling at me on the phone. At the end I gave up and told her that I will take my business somewhere else.
I think it was her , not the company that made me give up. Very unpleasant.

Thanks to owner Greg, we were quickly able to assess slab leak & get repair. Very efficient and professional. Love that he's a Navy veteran who purchased the business a little while ago & working on turning it around.

The guy came out in time within the window they gave me. He was clean and nice. Explained the steps he was doing. Found the issue of where my leak is coming from. I am very happy I had them come out. This saves me a lot of money and trouble. I highly recommend using them. Very professional and reasonable. Thanks guys.

I used them back in April 2019 to find a leak that I was having in my Koi pond. They showed up on time and first did a test to make sure that there was not a leak in the drain or return back to the pond. The told me that there was not a leak in the pipes and that they would have to go in the water and do a dye test to find a crack in the concrete. They spent about 45 minutes in the water and were not able to find the leak. The cost for this was $350.
Even though originally told me to fill up the pond to the intended top level before my appointment, they now told me to let it drain until it stopped leaking so they could investigate further and that I only had 30 days to call them back. Since the pond is 3000 gallons, it took 45 days to drain back to the original spot. I called them but they told me it would cost me another $250 to come out and check again.
I just wanted it fixed so I called them the week after but I never got a call back. I also called the employee who originally came out and he also never called me back.
I decided to put spend $600 and put a coat of Pond Armor myself on the pond since American Leak Detection claimed it was in the concrete, but it continued to leak.
I decided to test the drains myself and ended up doing three tests with a few 2 inch stoppers. I determined that one of the pvc fittings in one of the drain had a 1/4 inch gap. I bought a $5 container of JD Weld epoxy for pvc, and the next day I did not have a leak anymore.
7 months later, I finally fixed my pond but I spent extra money based on American Leak Detection steering me in the wrong direction. The leak was in the drain and that was the first thing they ruled out. I also feel that they charged me even though they never found the leak in the first place. I can't recommend them .
