OMG...this crew is top notch...I was getting assessed penalties every water bill (higher during draught)...talked it over on the phone & was convinced to move forward...set an appointment...

Reported leak was flagged in my yard
Dug down 18 inches & found the leaky pipe
Cut & replaced the bad piece & the hole i dug is still filling with water (Ugg!)
Found a 2nd leak in same place in a pipe right beside the other
Called them again to discuss & brain storm a solution
I fixed it & dry as a bone next few days and filled in the hole + planted flowers
Now with all the rain my pool is full & staying full (used to drop within a couple days)
Just got my water bull (not mis-spelled) and was SHOCKED!!
water usage is cut by 60%
Dang Pool was using more water than the occupants

I receive a monthly report card from the City of Morgan Hill indicating how much water I use per month. After receiving one that indicated that I was using over 450 gallons a day, I went out and pulled the cover off the meter and found that it was spinning like crazy. I originally thought it might be a leak at the meter and called the city to come inspect. They advised me the problem was on my end of things, and suggested that I contact American Leak Detection. After checking for the usual culprits like running toilets and leaks in the crawl space, I called A.L.D, made an appointment and a technician was out the next day. Through what seemed like magical powers (I was expecting a water witch with a dowsing rod) (but I got a technician with sonar phones and the biggest stethoscope I've ever seen), they found the leak within 20 minutes. I then made another appointment to have the underground main line problem repaired , which occurred within two days. The repair was somewhat tricky in that there were both the main line and irrigation lines, as well a junction between PVC and copper pipes in a small area. The repairs were professionally done and the costs involved were reasonable (*for a plumber*). I'm very happy with American Leak Detection's service and recommend them.

I had a slow leak in my pool, but thought it might just be evaporation until I realized just how often we were adding water. Both local pool companies I talked to immediately recommended Bill at American Leak in Gilroy (this branch handles pools only). When I called and spoke with Sherrie (?) in the office, she asked me if I had run a bucket test to size the leakage, and was very clear on how to prep for their visit, what they would do, and the costs. It's not cheap but I knew it was beyond my expertise to trace the leak. Bill came out right on time, and immediately got to work. I was impressed with his thoroughness and obvious experience, but he gladly explained what he was doing and answered all my questions. When he found the leak, he gave me a bid for repair and retesting (not cheap) but also offered a suggestion on how to stop the leak temporarily. I chose to do the workaround myself, which cost me about $2 in parts and took 10 minutes. Several weeks later my pool level hasn't dropped visibly. In summary, competent and easy to work with.

I had a water leak in the underground plumbing of my in ground swimming pool that I could not find. I called American Leak Detection as suggested by Leslie Pool Supply. They sent Bill out to diagnose my problem. He systematically and logically went about searching for the leak and quickly found it where I least expected. Not only did he find the leak but was able to fix it at the same time. It was such a pleasure to deal with a company and technician that knew their business. I highly recommend them.

Jim Quinn, owner, and his staff, were extremely helpful to me after Soquel Creek Water told me that my fire service meter indicated a leak. First I contacted a local fire service company and when they couldn't find a leak, they contacted American Leak Detection. After several visits, Jim determined that the problem was with Soquel's equipment . Jim had Soquel replace defective valves and the ""leak"" disappeared.

I knew there is a leak but could not find it. I called this company. Jim came and confirmed there is a leak but could not find it neither, they still charged me full price for it, not very happy. If your leak is hidden behind wall or under concrete, they will not be able to find it because they used gas method, not scan equipment.
