I would not give 1 star if I could. If you used this company for First American home warranty, don't expect you will get your service call fee worthwhile. On the claims I submitted saying it wasn't working, the guy who came out just said ""it's working fine, no issues"". The guy didn't even check thoroughly on anything I claimed making me wonder if they're even fully certified/licensed or professionally trained, or they are just there to simply take service calls and deny everything as possible. There is a reason why this company's Yelp review is so low. Very unfortunate to have this company come out. First American home warranty should avoid this company at all costs.

Received a call from them to schedule an appointment after not hearing from them after 3 business days from my initial request through my home warranty. The man on the phone gave me next day availability but unfortunately I could not schedule right away. He could not offer me any more times and said they would need to call again whenever they had an availability. Keep in mind it was 5:30pm at night and he asked if I could do 12 pm the next day. I voiced my concern on the length of time it took to reach out and he immediately said he would call the home warranty to reassign me. Extremely rude and difficult to work with. not recommended.

I would never recommend this company. The plumber was petty and unprofessional. I was initially assigned to this company from my home warranty. They came to my house to assess my upstairs toilet. After the inspection I was told that I had galvanized pipes that would need to be replaced throughout the house. The plumber quoted me a price off the top of his head, since it was not covered under the warranty. We elected to go with a repiping company because they specialized in repiping.
I ended up having a second plumbing issue and the warranty company called American Coast to come back out. The same plumber came over and realized that he remembered our house and that they were not awarded the repiping job. He said, ""I see you repiped your house, huh!"" and then proceeds to leisurely look at the issues and then went to his car. After 15 minutes or so, he went back to the bathroom looked at the sink again and told me that I'd hear back from the warranty company as to the next steps. He never told me anything and when I asked if he could make the repairs he said no and left with an attitude. I didn't realize it but he basically told the warranty company that all the issues were related to the repiping job - secondary repairs. This voided out my contract for those repairs and I ended up having to spend $575 to get the repairs completed by a separate plumber. I should have known something was up because he supervisor called me about an hour after he left trying to explain the assessment. They didn't do that when all my pipes needed to be replaced. Go figure!

I hired a legitimate plumber who did his due diligence and found that the repairs were due to normal wear and tear and a faulty installation of the toilet. He American Coast Plumbing taken the time to actually assess the problem, they would have clearly seen the issue and would have maintained a customer. No it's not a repiping job, but now, everyone is going to know that they are also shady!

Don't use this company and if you do, you run the risk of getting someone who is petty, lazy and won't do a complete job. Spend your money with a reputable company.

Thank you so very much! First American Warranty sent them to me. I was told they would be able to come between 2-3. I got a text that they were on their way at 2:00. They were told that it was a garbage disposal problem. Raul was on the floor and replacing my garbage disposal with a new one as soon as he verified the motor would not work. He was done within 25 minutes. He cleaned up and even answered a question about another issue I was having with a bathroom sink. He was patient and understanding (even stepping outside so as not to upset the dogs) as I moved my dogs to another room so that he could see the hook-up. He confirmed that yes, the faucet was bad. So I will for sure request that my home warranty dispatches American Coast for the next repair day! Thank you for being prompt, showing a fantastic work ethic, and offering wonderful customer service when trying to work around my schedule as a teacher. A great experience and well-deserving of 5 stars!

Don't hire this company. It seems this company work for home warranty companies only, and probably this company has only one guy only, because the phone number for American Coast Plumbing which my home warranty provided is his cell phone number. I can't find this company on Google, and there is virtually no information about this company on Yelp.com either, no address and location, no work hours, no phone number, no email, no website, nothing. I called my home warranty, First American Home Warranty, because my water heater stopped working, and American Coast Plumbing was dispatched. Before I ordered the service with First American Home Warranty, I called First American Home Warranty and told the customer service that the serial number was missing on the water heater and therefore I couldn't get manufacturer's warranty. Their customer service told me that I still can get First American Home Warranty's warranty service if I couldn't get the manufacturer's warranty to cover it, so I ordered the home warranty service. This guy came out the next day and checked my water heater, took a few pictures and left. The next day I received an email from First American Home Warranty stating that my water heater was denied for warranty service from then on because of two findings. The findings that American Coast Plumbing and this guy reported back to the home warranty about my water heater were two items: a bypass resistor, and missing part. This guy did not discuss these two items with me at all when he was with me. Later I called him and found out that the bypass resistor he reported was a resistor connected to the water heater controller externally with two wires. He didn't recognize and didn't know what this resistor is for, so he claimed he would not work on this water heater because of this, although my water heater had been working for years without an issue with this setup. He also told me that the ""missing part"" was for the missing serial number. He and First American Home Warranty called it ""missing part"". Like some other reviewers have commented here, it seems it's very true that American Coast Plumbing primarily works for the interest of this company and the home warranty companies with all their effort to avoid performing home warranty services for customers. Avoid this company.

We had a great experience with American Coast Plumbing. The plumber was on time and quickly snaked our line. Then he followed up with us. Our plumber was honest and answered all of our questions. We will definitely use them again.

Assigned to us by First American and did not even dive into the leak because he was so concerned my husband removed the shower nozzle so no one would use the shower. Trying to blame the shower nozzle removal for the leak? Does that make sense to you? Thus FA not covering the claim since it's not normal wear and tear says them. Hired another plumber & guess what? The shower nozzle being removed had nothing to do with the leak.

Quick to schedule but kind of a waste with crappy customer service and no professionalism about people dealing with their home warranty repairs. If you don't want the frugal work, don't do business with a home warranty company!

Instead of explaining thoroughly what the whole process is,especially if they LOTS of experience with First American, I had to ask their technician to leave my home because I was so frustrated! They only offered a silver or brushed nicked faucet, which come to find out is non-upgradable at ALL, but we just remodeled our powder room to have all bronze finishes, so why would we choose silver?? No empathy, no customer just said ""won't do it"" basically.. and after multiple conversations with our stupid Home Warranty company, I am reluctantly stuck paying for a bronze faucet myself. Not the plumbing company's fault... BUT when I call Andrew @ American Coast Plumbing back to update him that I will now be purchasing myself...he states they are REFUSING to come out! That the ticket is ""closed"" on their end but nothing was even done!!! So now I'm stuck on hold trying to find a replacement plumber to fix what should have been fixed over a week ago. What a headache! Thanks for nothing!

I wanted to give a review for American cost plumbing, I was so nervous calling them because of bad reviews. But they can fairly executed three trades! All plumbing related, replaced worn out parts, and replaced my broken shower head also. Not fancy, but atleast it's working. I definitely got my moneys worth, but more importantly, the guy was very knowledgeable and decent to engage with. His name is Raul and works for Andrew, who owns the company!
