I'm aghast - just spoke with Andrew from this company when he called me back to schedule an appointment for a service request made through FAHW. Without ever having been to my home, he told me that he is 'bracing me for what this is going to cost me personally because First American covers only up to $1,500 and that's only 10% of what it's going to cost.'

Well, I just spoke to First American and they told me that under my plan there is no coverage limit for this type of repair because I purchased upgrades.

So this contractor, again without ever having been to my home or diagnosing, just saw dollar signs from looking up my house on the internet (he told me he did as much) and decided he was going to be charging me thousands of dollars for my service - separate and apart from my warranty coverage - based off of no objective information or facts at all. He himself admitted the purpose of the first appointment is to diagnose the problem properly and hadn't even come to my house yet! Wow. Clearly a greedy, unethical contractor who is looking to indiscriminately empty the pockets of homeowners rather than find out what actually needs to be repaired in their home.

This company is comically bad. I was assigned them by my home warranty. I will spare the details, but highlights of their incompetency in 3 appointments and 1.5 months include:
Contractor didn't have a ladder in first appointment. Left.
Wouldn't communicate with other reconstruction contractors on where to cut to locate pipe, said that wasn't his job.
Didn't respond to calls.
Showed up 90 mins late after confirming a 2 hour window appointment
Made fun of both warranty company and my home
Stormed out refusing to fix pipe, refused to apologize, stomped, and couldn't locate the pipe with the leak.

You're better off rolling the dice with any other company in my opinion.

I wish I could give zero stars! Like many reviews on here, I went through my home warranty insurance and was not serviced. There is a sensor issue with my water heater, which was disregarded. Due to the technician's negligence, the warranty will not cover any repairs on the water heater, and now it started to leak because of the pressure ( since the sensor is not working). If the valve to release pressure was not functioning, there could have been a catastrophic disaster for me and my family. We will see what the Better Business Bureau has to say.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Apparently this person has his calls come to his cell phone so when he didn't show up for the window provided by the company, he said I was ""a liar"". This was so random I almost started laughing, but my tenants really needed assistance so I asked him if we could be professional as I am a realtor and landlord . He said for me to lose his number ! I'm not sure if it is just that he does not like home warranty business or what. In any case. I called Coast plumbing in FV and they came out after hours and were great and great customer service. I would never allow this Andrew on my property , nor would I recommend him to my clients. His responses to me were both defensive, and belligerent. Not hard to get better customer service. :)

Andrew has exceeded my expectations.
His workmanship is top notch. Very professional, very patient, walks you through the process step by step. Extremely knowledgeable and is accurate with timelines. If I could give him a higher rating I would. I definitely recommend him.

While house-sitting, we encountered a major sewer line backup that flooded the home. America's First Home Warranty sent a plumber who couldn't resolve the issue, leading us to seek assistance from American Coast Plumbing. ACP not only efficiently cleared the drain but also provided invaluable advice to address secondary damages from the flooding. My only regret is that AFHW didn't dispatch ACP from the start. Huge thanks to ACP for their prompt response, professionalism, and for ultimately resolving the problem!

Plumber was dispatched by home warranty. The guy showed up 2 minutes before the service window closed. He then told us that he won't service us. I find this discriminatory. He now threatened me to take legal action against me for defamation after I posted my experience here as this platform is to share experiences with the public and help each other to make the right decision when it comes to hiring people and spending our money with companies. The way I felt is the way he made me feel. Now he has a problem with me sharing the way he made me feel. What he could do is to be a professional, respectful person, do his job and move onto the next project.
I treated this guy with respect but didn't get the same thing back. Lots of other reviews here speak for themselves. I don't seem to be the only one who had a bad experience.
I reported this to the home warranty company. Definitely not recommended.

I would not give 1 star if I could. If you used this company for First American home warranty, don't expect you will get your service call fee worthwhile. On the claims I submitted saying it wasn't working, the guy who came out just said ""it's working fine, no issues"". The guy didn't even check thoroughly on anything I claimed making me wonder if they're even fully certified/licensed or professionally trained, or they are just there to simply take service calls and deny everything as possible. There is a reason why this company's Yelp review is so low. Very unfortunate to have this company come out. First American home warranty should avoid this company at all costs.

Received a call from them to schedule an appointment after not hearing from them after 3 business days from my initial request through my home warranty. The man on the phone gave me next day availability but unfortunately I could not schedule right away. He could not offer me any more times and said they would need to call again whenever they had an availability. Keep in mind it was 5:30pm at night and he asked if I could do 12 pm the next day. I voiced my concern on the length of time it took to reach out and he immediately said he would call the home warranty to reassign me. Extremely rude and difficult to work with. not recommended.

I would never recommend this company. The plumber was petty and unprofessional. I was initially assigned to this company from my home warranty. They came to my house to assess my upstairs toilet. After the inspection I was told that I had galvanized pipes that would need to be replaced throughout the house. The plumber quoted me a price off the top of his head, since it was not covered under the warranty. We elected to go with a repiping company because they specialized in repiping.
I ended up having a second plumbing issue and the warranty company called American Coast to come back out. The same plumber came over and realized that he remembered our house and that they were not awarded the repiping job. He said, ""I see you repiped your house, huh!"" and then proceeds to leisurely look at the issues and then went to his car. After 15 minutes or so, he went back to the bathroom looked at the sink again and told me that I'd hear back from the warranty company as to the next steps. He never told me anything and when I asked if he could make the repairs he said no and left with an attitude. I didn't realize it but he basically told the warranty company that all the issues were related to the repiping job - secondary repairs. This voided out my contract for those repairs and I ended up having to spend $575 to get the repairs completed by a separate plumber. I should have known something was up because he supervisor called me about an hour after he left trying to explain the assessment. They didn't do that when all my pipes needed to be replaced. Go figure!

I hired a legitimate plumber who did his due diligence and found that the repairs were due to normal wear and tear and a faulty installation of the toilet. He American Coast Plumbing taken the time to actually assess the problem, they would have clearly seen the issue and would have maintained a customer. No it's not a repiping job, but now, everyone is going to know that they are also shady!

Don't use this company and if you do, you run the risk of getting someone who is petty, lazy and won't do a complete job. Spend your money with a reputable company.
