My regular guy was scheduled to show up at 7:00 am this morning, and texted me at 6:30 am to say that his truck wouldn't start....massive bummer!!!!

Last night, my A/C stopped working, the condenser was not running, and when I checked the filter, it was as wet as if it had been soaking in a bucket of water.

With the fan only, at 6:30am my house was 85 degrees F in my bedroom, NOT conducive to good sleep.

I called around from the top of the Yelp list starting at 7:15 am, and either got no answer or ""booked for the next two weeks"".....when I reached American Ace, they scheduled me TODAY for between 10:00 am and 12pm. They requested I text my address and texted back a confirmation.

Max was at my house before I was at 10:00 am, and he waited for me, I showed up around 10:10.

He quickly figured out that the drain hose was clogged, and the water had saturated one of the shutoff safety valves. He worked very cleanly, explained everything, gave me an estimate and did not go over it. The A/C was working a little over an hour after he arrived, and he gave some solid recommendations to extend the longevity of the system.

While it was just a little more costly than I was hoping for, the charge was fair, and the work was completed in exemplary fashion.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this company, and will be keeping their information on file for future needs in A/C, heating and plumbing.

One of our air-conditioning units went out during a recent heat wave. I tried all the self-help troubleshooting I could think of, but to no avail. The next day, I Google-searched for ""air conditioning repair Rancho Penasquitos"", and American Ace Plumbing was among the top hits--and local. The Yelp reviews averaged 5 stars (68 5's and two 4's), so I called them.

Even though it's a busy time (late July), Fred said he could be out within an hour and a half. Unfortunately, I was away from home for the day, so I asked if he could come out the following morning. He said, ""Sure. Please just text me your address and what time you'd like me to be there."" I sent him my address and asked if he could come between 8:00 and 10:00 AM. Fred responded in the affirmative, and was at my door the following day
at 8:00 on the dot.

Fortunately for us, it was an easy and relatively inexpensive fix (a dead capacitor in the attic unit), and Fred had the part in his vehicle. Actually, the most problematic aspect of the service call was negotiating around my wife's abundance of boxed Christmas decorations--which Fred helped me move!

Fred was polite, prompt, efficient, and quick--and he didn't try to up-sell additional equipment or services.

Called another company in SD (they have TV commercials) on Wednesday and they couldn't get to my A/C issue until next Wednesday so I called Fred after reading the overwhelming positive Yelp reviews. He came out the next day and looked over my system and made recommendations. He arrived on time, made a quick repair, friendly and professional and best of all low cost. I highly recommend American Ace Plumbing.

One of our AC units decided to quit after twelve years and we had two companies tell us the entire system had to be replaced. This would have been a minimum of $4K.

Fred came out, diagnosed we had a bad capacitor and replaced it. It took ten minutes max and he was done. He then showed me a few tips on how to care for the system to prolong its life before leaving.

I'm very happy with the service I received and would recommend Fred to my friends.

I made an appointment to have my central a/c checked since it stopped working. Fred was able to look at it the next day. He was right on time and while testing it, the system seemed to be working again. Despite this, he checked the entire system anyway to be sure everything was okay. Thirty minutes after he left, the a/c stopped working again. I called him again, and without hesitation he came right back to see what was going on. He ended up re-wiring some of the connections and it has been working fine ever since. Very courteous and took the time to explain what he was doing and made sure I understood.

Fred from American Ace came at 9am the next morning after calling him the night before at 7pm. He arrived on time and within 5min had diagnosed the problem with our central air conditioning unit. He had it fixed in 30min. Really nice. Great service and a great fair price. Also very honest and didn't try and push anything extra on me.
