Hugo, one of the American A/C technicians serviced our air conditioning unit that was not working at full capacity. In fact, it was blowing warm air. From the moment Hugo arrived, he rolled out his own mat, was outfitted with the proper PPE, and I didn't even have to tell him to wear the booties on his shoes in order to keep our carpet clean. He got right to work. He thoroughly diagnosed and explained the problem, offered alternatives with no pressure, returned the old parts, and ensured the air was working at full capacity prior to his departure. True professionalism!

My 22-year old A/C system wasn't working well as the San Fernando Valley was entering the biggest heat wave we've ever had in August 2020. I called American Air Conditioning & Heating to service my unit. It was going to be so expensive to recharge my old unit that I decided to buy a new system. Pretty crazy, huh, during a heat wave?? But American got my new system installed in a week. And I'm very happy. The people at American are great to deal with. This includes Erica, Hannah, Brenda and Nicole in the office, as well as Johnny, Hank, Jerry, Anthony, Dusty, Cameron, Daniel, Kyle, Eddie, and Ernie. Ernie, the lead installer, was amazing. He did fantastic work, and kept me informed every step of the way. I highly recommend this company. You can't beat the great service. Oh, and the first day of the install, they gave me a box of Mrs. Fields cookies. You can't beat that!

Great service on my old air conditioner that hadn't been serviced in a few years. Jarrod was helpful and explained what was needed to prolong the life of our unit and we compared the prices on line and American Air had comparable prices.

Oh my goodness it is hot! But thanks to Kirk Edens and American HVAC I'm sitting here very refreshed. I can't believe that I called yesterday morning, talked to very kind and capable customer service people and discovered they would have a technician out to see us in 2 - 4 hours. I had two other firms tell me it would be 2 - 3 weeks.

Customer service also fielded two additional calls from me to clarify additional information and I was helped immediately. Kirk Edens, our technician, was kind, gracious, informative and fixed everything. He also followed Covid protocol and was nicely dressed in his uniform as well. He also left us with some suggestions rather than a heavy sales pitch. The suggestions were very helpful. I am just so grateful for this company.

I know this sounds to good to be true but it really was my experience. Thank you American HVAC and Kirk Edens.

We installed a new AC and furnace system last year. It's working great but we knew good maintenance is key to keeping things working well. George came out and did an amazing job giving the AC a tune up and identifying areas to keep an eye on going forward. He also explained the annual service program in a no-nonsense clear manner with no pressure. We signed up and are happy we did. Thanks George and American Air!

I came home last Thursday night to discover that the AC wasn't blowing cool air and it was 90 degrees in my condo. Friday I called around and found an add for this company and they could come out the same day. Great! The guy got to my place around 4, proceeded to check out and identify the issue. Keep in mind that when I turned the AC on Friday night it appeared to be working. Well, it's an old unit and the sales pitch began including a back up sales repair person. In anticipation of replacing the unit, one guy started a loan process while the other guy began dismantling the unit. It's now 9 pm my animals and I are hungry and the loan didn't go through. So they left and said they'd be back Monday to put it back together. It's Wednesday, they were supposed to be here Monday, got pushed to today and now three times they've pushed back the arrival time. It's 103 outside and 93 inside and they are giving me my money back at least, but I feel like there is no accountability whatsoever! The unit they were trying to get me to go with was @ 19k and I've now had bids way below that. Yeah, take advantage of the single lady using scare tactics of carbon monoxide poisoning and mold and unreplaceable parts.

So, as a followup to this. I've had several conversations from the Manager who was sincerely apologetic and bending over backwards to make amends for the situation. And I must say that i never expected the courtesy that they have followed up with. Filamon, the gentleman who arrived in the heat of the day yesterday was kind and professional and put everything back together, verified it was running properly and wired correctly. He also expressed his concern over the condition of the firebox which I assured him that it would be replaced long before the necessity of it being put into use. His sincerity was obvious, he is a true asset to that company. I wish he had been sent first, maybe this whole situation would have been avoided. And not only that, the company is hand delivering a gift card today to further express their desire to make good. Wow, looking back I can say that there is definitely good that came out of what started as a bad situation as well as real learning opportunity for all.

We decided to get our ducts cleaned and Johnny Vista is the one who came to handle the paperwork and financing. Very nice, personable and professional team member! We very much appreciated Johnny's patience with our questions, tolerance of our pets and his compliance in wearing his shoe covers and mask. We worked with two of the best techs at American A/C last week.
