Can't say enough about frank and his team. He came with 2 other men. They fixed a major root in drain problem as well as 3 other stopped up pipes. He was, on time, very clean, very clear, very fast, thoroughly professional and his price was great. Gave us great advice about killing roots in future as well. Really cares. This is gem. Highly recommend! A+
Update. Had another unrelated plumbing issue. Again AAA service. Again highly recommend!!!

Alvarez plumbing was prompt and on time! I called and they came lightning fast. Stephen was professional and personable and in a handsome uniform =). And he knew the job very well. And the costs were reasonable. They even referred me to a mitigation company that was as professional and prompt as they were. Thank you Alvarez!!

We checked on Yelp to find a plumber to call when our toilet leaked, along with a leak in we had in some pipes leading to our casita. We called Alvarez after seeing their high ratings, and they were able to come the next morning which worked perfectly for us. Serviceman Tony arrived per their time commitment. He was personable, professional, and efficient. He fixed both our problems quickly and efficiently, while even suggesting I could do part of the repairs by myself for less money. I had him do it himself, as I felt total confidence in his ability to do it faster and better. We have found our go to plumber. Alvarez Plumbing Services is a great service oriented firm who all should be comfortable calling when problems come up..

We were just about to leave our home in La Quinta when the garbage disposal decided to fail and make a mess. Called these fine folks and had help onsite within the hour. Excellent service and great response time. Highly recommended. Thanks for standing out in a world where service is hard to find!

Terrible!!!!!
This plumber was contacted by our home warranty co.
It was clear very early into the appointment that the young man that came out was only there to get the service call payment. He came up with every reason why he could not help us. We had a drip from the faucet tub.
We have Kohler fixtures. He told us they were under lifetime warranty and we had to call Kohler to get the part. So I called Kohler while he was there and they told me that information was incorrect (as I assumed). As we did not purchase the fixtures, they were in the home when we bought it, the fixtures had no warranty. I told the plumber the info and he told me I was wrong. I told him he could speak to the Kohler rep and get the info to order the part and he said NO, only the homeowner should speak to Kohler. It is not his responsibility.
We then went back to warranty co and they agreed to speak to plumber and told him what he needed to do to fix the problem.
He was trying every way to get out of doing any work and he kept going out and speaking to his supervisor.
He then cane back and came up with another reason he could not fix the problem while he had his supervisor on the phone. Unfortunately when he told the supervisor there was another issue I heard the supervisor say, ""There you ho, excellent!""
How terrible is that?!!!'
It just got worse from there....
WARNING
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

#1 fan of Alvarez plumbing! After several failed attempts to find what was wrong with our water heater and propane gas lines, Frank at Alvarez Plumbing identified the problem and then encouraged me to go through the warranty company to fix it (meaning he turned down my business because he knew the warranty company should have to pay for the parts and labor). He was professional, personable, and had my best interest in mind. He answered his personal phone to help me with warranty issues and guided me through the process. In the end, it turned out that the warranty company was able to send Alvarez plumbing out to do the job and I couldn't be happier with the quality. He replaced our water heater on the same day I called. He used quality product and installed it safety, ensuring no leaks or hazards. This company does business with honesty and integrity which is hard to find. I'll use them every time!

After they fixed my gas leak I did not expect to require Alvarez Plumbing services again, but right before Christmas our main sewer line backed up and my home warranty insurance sent out a rooter type plumbing service, only to get charged $405 because they could not find a ground level access and it was not covered by the insurance. They seemed to clear the clog, but one day later it was clogged again. They came back and said they would have to charge for the same service they previously provided and then recommended installation of a dual direction clean out for about $2200.
I then decided to call Alvarez Plumbing because they had done a great job on my natural gas leak a week earlier. Frank and Eric came out and immediately told me the previous plumber should have used a blade to cut the tree roots. The previous guy was reluctant to do this because he said it could break the main pipeline. Frank said because of this oversight there was still more blockage in the line. They did run the rooter through with a blade on it and removed the tree roots and the blockage. Frank recommended a foaming root killer to prevent the roots from immediately growing back. I did this with an overnight application through the toilet. Frank said that they guarantee all their work and the previous plumber should have guaranteed his too. Frank said I should call back the previous contractor and ask for a refund, which I did. After some discussion, the first contractor said he would refund my money and he would send a refund check. I am awaiting that refund. Frank and Eric were punctual and professional and gave me great advice about how to deal with the root problem and their work is totally guaranteed. Frank did say that I may ultimately need a more complete root removal sometime in the future but this could be further delayed by applying the foaming tree root killer periodically. He gave me a very competitive price for a clean out installation if It is need in the future. All together wonderful and timely service and great advice.

James was awesome! He let me know the good and the bad and found a middle ground! Woohoo thanx James I can wash dishes again!

Not impressed, try your luck somewhere else. My wife made an appointment on a Friday for the following Monday between 8-10. We'll, 10 o'clock came and went, my wife called to see what was the matter and the woman remembered my wife and apologized and said there was an emergency call that the plumber (apparently there is only one) had to respond to. She apologized and said she would expedite the plumber as my wife pointed out that we would be leaving out of town by noon, a reason for the early requested visit that was stated in the original call the previous Friday. Another hour and a half went by so my wife gave up and had the courtesy to call and cancel. I would have preferred to leave out of town and let them show up to a locked door... she spoke with the same woman to cancel, the woman did not ask to reschedule nor tried to set up an alternative appointment. Very unprofessional, and unfortunate for them. We will take our business elsewhere to a more professional and courteous company, I hope you do as well.

I called a week ago. The lady that answered the phone said she would get back to me once she was able to pull up the appointment book. She never called back. Awful customer service.
