Alton Combustion offers the servicing and installation of boilers, burners, pressure piping, and all associated equipment within a 100-mile radius of Fort Wayne, IN. We serve churches, municipalities, educational institutions, commercial sectors, and industrial organizations.

Established in 1971, Alton Combustion has been family-owned and operated since its inception. Ray Herman and his brother Ed founded Alton Combustion Inc. in March of 1971 in a two-car garage located on a farm north of Ossian, IN. During the first nine months, they operated from the garage while they grew the new venture. With growth, they relocated to a larger facility covering 2,400 square feet in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In January 1988, they moved the company to its current location in Fort Wayne, which includes a 12,000 sq ft shop and a 6,400 sq ft storage building.

The company has consistently maintained its family-run nature, valuing craftsmanship and client satisfaction. We specialize in the installation and maintenance of burners, boilers, pressure piping, and related equipment throughout a 100-mile radius of Fort Wayne, IN. We serve municipalities, government entities, schools and universities, churches, commercial businesses, and industrial sectors.

Alton Combustion is a family-owned business. It began in 1971 with Ray Herman, who is the father of Terry and Tony. While still in high school, Terry and Tony began their journey at Alton and have gained extensive knowledge from their father and years of experience. They are now passing their expertise on to their sons, who also work for Alton.
