After initial confusion over the appointment time (an honest mistake), John came out today and did several supply line valve replacements including the icemaker supply valve which required opening the wall and cutting in new pipe (not unexpected). The work was done professionally, John is a nice guy, clearly knows his stuff, and the price was reasonable. What more could you ask? We're going to have him bid on an upcoming gas line project too.

Recently had the reason to call Alt on a Sunday due to drainage line backup. First technician spent well over two hours attempting to clear lines in two different clean outs, using a 75' snake. Unfortunately, the blockage was at the curb connecting line and he couldn't reach it. He made arrangements for a different technician to come out on Monday, and did not charge us a dime for the Sunday visit!

This is one honest and class-act business!

The technician who came out Monday was equally as professional, charges were reasonable, and got the job done.

Will not hesitate to utilize this plumbing company for any plumbing needs going forward.

My water heater leaked everywhere and I needed a new one ASAP. Alt Plumbing was willing to come out on a Sunday to help me fix my problem at an extremely reasonable rate! It was replacing the water heater that determined that I needed a new water regulator ASAP! My water pressure was supposed to be at 75, but was hitting over 140. No wonder all my faucets were leaking! Even though it was an odd sized regulator, they were able to find it and replace it with no problems. I am very thankful that they found and fixed the problem so quickly and efficiently!

My pump went out in my sewer lift station and I gave ALT a call at 8:00 PM. My well was full of sewer waste and they talked me through different options of what I could try to do to eliminate the problem myself. After realizing it was a bad pump they came out the next day and installed a new pump and valve in a very timely manner. All the work and customer service was extremely professional and they walked me through tips on how to maintain my lift station to make it last a long time. In all I recommend this company for any plumbing issues as I will definitely call them back if a problem ever arose again for me. The rates are affordable and the quote they gave me is what I paid. I'm happy to say I finally found an honest plumber.....thanks ALT Plumbing

We purchased a water filtration system with a water softener. In order for the warranty to be valid, we needed a licensed plumber to install. I originally called a different plumbing company and they agreed to install but when the day of installation arrived, the technician indicated that they didn't carry the correct tool. That same day our water valve (regulator) supplying water to the house broke. Our home warranty company sent two plumbing companies. One could not make the repairs, the other wanted to charge an arm and a leg. Instead, we found John and he was courteous, knowledgeable and responsive. He arrived and gave us a great suggestion about the system. We purchased some additional parts and he completed both jobs for a very reasonable price. We even asked him to come back and make a minor modification and he did so without any problems. He gets an A for communication, knowledge and customer service. He runs his own business and sometimes gets backed up with repairs, but he prioritizes and lets you know whether this will affect your timeline. I would use him again and recommend him to friends.

Never had such a great service like this before. Needed an estimate to give to my landlord before I could get work done. A tech talks to me over the phone and is completely honest. The estimate ended up being higher than what is was. They have great hours and were able to come out late at night after I got home from work. The plumber was very knowledgeable and friendly. My kids started talking to him and he was super nice to them and did not get annoyed. It was just an all around good experience after years of trying other plumbers that were usually not that great. HIGHLY recommend them!!

This review mainly covers his flexibility and reliability. I bought some BioClean plumbing cleaning chemical from Alt Plumbing when I thought my drain flies in my masterbath was coming from the sink (found later it was coming from under the toilet). Anyhow, it's good to have this BioClean stuff on hand anyways for regular drain upkeep.

I called during a Friday evening just before his place was closing and asked if it was possible to purchase BioClean from him. It sounded like he was going to be busy Saturday but he said he was willing to meet for me to get his product. I met him at San Marcos and he also gave me advice on how to use it.

He definitely gets a 5 for a reliability, flexibility, free advice, and communication. Not sure about the actual plumbing work though.

I had a great experience with Alt plumbing. I was out of town, but had house guests staying at my house in San Marcos when they contacted be regarding an issue with my shower. I called Alt plumbing and spoke with John. He took my information over the phone and was at my house and had the issue resolved within 2 hours of my phone call. He was courteous, professional and efficient. I would highly recommend them and I will be contacting them again in the future when I need plumbing services.
