John came to my home in Vista to fix a kitchen faucet. Turns out the problem was a broken washer inside the water line that was clogging the faucet. He saved me a bunch of money because I was able to keep my existing faucet and return the one I bought. He was friendly and his prices were very fair. I would definitely recommend Alt plumbing for your needs.

Super unhappy with the follow-up from Alt Plumbing. First time I spoke to John he was super responsive and easy to schedule someone out to take a look at a vanity re-pipe and install. However, after coming out to look at it he was absolutely unresponsive with a quote. I called him twice to see if he had a price together and never received any information back from him. We took our business elsewhere.

So I thought I had an issue with my hot water heater (checked by some else) however it turned out that it was fine and I most likely needed a new cartridge to be replaced in my shower. I checked Yelp and Alt Plumbing had 5 star reviews as well as a Yelp deal. I thought this was a win win so I gave them a call. John was very accommodating and setup an appointment for the next day. The gentleman who showed up (forgot his name) brought the replacement cartridge he thought may fit but it did not so he had to leave and get a different one. He came back and proceeded to change it out. The job didn't take very long and he said I was good to go. I should of asked early on what the total charge would be ($240) because now after doing some research I know I was overcharged even with the Yelp deal ($25 off). Also after taking a shower later that day I realized he didn't set the hot water limiter high enough so I got mostly luke warm water until I personally made the correct adjustment. Now as I look back I could of most likely done the job myself and saved a lot of money. Lastly he said he would email me a copy of the invoice which I never received. I learned a few lessons that day, one of them being not to contact Alt Plumbing ever again for any of my plumbing issues. Beware.

Unbelievable! We have been without water for 5 days due to a leak. Jacked around by American Home Shield and their incompetent plumbing referrals. One call to John at Alt Plumbing and he sent Travis out this morning and the leak was fixed in an hour. Wonderful, expedient, professional service...what a find! Thank you so much.
