This is an updated review to caution people. In my earlier review I told how they quoted one price then charged us double that amount! My husband actually spoke to the owner. My husband said the owner was polite and reasonable. The owner saw how we could be confused. Basically instead of paying $500 over what we expected we paid $250. My husband was satisfied but I still think it's shady. If this company does this to just two people a week...$250 dollars over their quote X 2 people a week X 52 weeks in a year = $26,000 a year. I think they quote one price then jack up the price when the job is complete on purpose. They then "make a deal" so people won't feel cheated. Beware of this company and make sure you get prices in writing before they start a job!

We worked with Allstate Plumbing during two bathroom renovations. They removed the old shower and garden tub, set a new shower basin, and removed/reset two toilets. Every member of the team is an expert in their field, pays attention to detail, and goes above and beyond to ensure the job is done right. They were very considerate of home, keeping work areas clean and protecting surrounding flooring and furniture. We were very impressed!

Was referred to Allstate Plumbing when my plumber couldn't make it. Hella expensive, over $400 labor to change out kitchen faucet ... Will not be using again due to pricing.

My water heater broke last night, and Michael from Allstate Plumbing came out to fix the problem. He was fun to talk to and finished up quickly. Also did a good job of making sure everything is done correctly. I would definitely recommend these guys!

We needed to have our water heater (gas) pilot light replaced and decided to call Allstate. They asked for the make and model number of the water heater, so when the tech (Michael) showed up, he already had the replacement part with him, and did the job in only about 15 minutes. He was very nice, professional and knew what he was doing. I plan to use Allstate again for future plumbing needs.

My tenant's hot water heater went out.

I called on a wed and they made an appointment for a Friday. I called Thursday to see if they knew approximately when they'd be out on Friday. I was told last appointment of day, I asked for clarification and was told 2:30-3. I stayed at the property til 5 and had to leave. The tenant was home at that point so someone could let the plumber in. I called Allstate and they said they were still coming.

I got a call from the plumber around 7:30. He said I needed a hot wear heater. He could not give me a bid at that time but said they'd get me one Monday. Bear in mind this was a week long freezing spell and my tenants had ben without hot water since Wednesday. I asked if they could get me the bid tomorrow, Saturday. He said he could.

Then he explained I owed $78 for the trip fee. This kind of irritated me, I already knew I needed a hot water heater so I was paying $78 for info I already knew. Additionally, most plumbers do not charge for just a bid (trust me, as a land lord I've tried many). He also said he spoke to his supervisor and if I use them, they'd apply the fee to the work. That also irritated me, it was disingenuous. That's everyone's policy, I'm pretty confident he didn't speak to his manager, but he was implying he was giving me special treatment.

Anyway, the bid didn't come Saturday and it didn't come Monday either. On Tuesday the office manager called me and told me I needed a hot water heater. He didn't have a bid worked up but told me he'd get me one that day. That part was accurate.

The bid was $1100, which isn't bad. I had another for $1200, Lowe's was about the same. I ended up getting it done for $935.

They sent me a thank you card and a magnet in the mail a week later. It's the only magnet I'd ever spent $78 on.

Very impressive business. I was worried about the cost of this repair because it was four separate problems that each could have been expensive.

First, how they got my business. Someone picked up the phone. I'm busy, I needed it fixed now, and the other top rated plumbers didn't pick up the phone. One had a message to call his cell phone, but he didn't pick up there either. By the time he called be back, Allstate was out at my house half finished with the work already.

They came out that day, and were perfectly on time.
They were extremely fast. All four jobs were completed in an hour and a half.
They explained everything that was wrong, and how they fixed it. I like that so much. I don't find it cost effective to do this work myself, but I find it extremely cost-effective to know how the work should be done so I know when I'm getting good work.
They told me about and honored a coupon even though i couldn't find it.

Could I have done this work myself? Maybe I could have, but it would have taken me all day (ALL DAY, not like 8 hours) and at least two trips to home depot, plus buying tools I don't have and don't want to have. I think I might have saved about $70 doing that, and that's if I didn't break anything in the process and knew what was wrong the first try - which I didn't.

Great plumber, will use again if needed. (Hope not!)

I have used Allstate 3 times now and they continue to impress. The first time I was in the middle of a remodel and needed a camera. My plumber at the time didn't have one so he recommended Allstate. I thought that was a great vote of confidence. It is important to note that I am a pretty good plumber myself and have plumbed an entire house. My standards are high and no one can piss me off faster than a plumber who is stupid.

That said, here is what I love about Allstate:
1. The gal that answers the phone is super nice and knowledgeable. She actually sounds like she cares about our plumbing issues.
2. The plumbers are also super nice, professional and neat and tidy. They do not make or leave a mess.
3. They know more about their trade than I do.
4. They set up appointments and are on time.
5. There are no surprises in the pricing.

I actually despise doing plumbing but I typically will do it myself to avoid the aggravation. Now it is the other way around. I call Allstate to do even the small but tedious stuff because I know they won't irritate me, the price is reasonable and they do good work.

Do not hesitate to call them.

These guys are so great I almost want to have more plumbing problems so I can call them again. They did good work and the price was around half of what I would have paid elsewhere. (Only $122.50 for a hydrostatic test.) After doing the test both the onsite plumber and one in the office (by telephone) took the time to explain the results and my options in very understandable detail.

They were so friendly, competent, and inexpensive I thought that maybe they were a startup that was bending over backwards in order to build a client base, but their website says they've been in business since 1996, so I guess they really just take pride in doing a good job at a good price. Glad I called them.

Everyone seemed very nice and reasonable.
We had a window of availability to meet between 12 and 2 with a phone call to alert me to meet them. At 2 without having received a call, I reached them. The tech was held up at another call. I get it, we're all busy and work never goes to plan. Asked that the tech contact 20 min in advance. It's now 3 and nothing. Called again and was given the tude about we never said between 12 and 2. Homey don't play that. Asked to rechedule for the next day and they're booked so maybe tomorrow or whenever.
To be as nice as possible... Plan on taking some vacation time if you need service done. Just hang out at home for a few days and drink some beers out in the driveway and I'm sure, once they show up, they'll do a fine job.
Good Luck
I'll give 2 stars for being fairly courteous.
