Very bad experience. We had one burst pipe, two dripping outdoor bibs, and one valve to replace. Two guys showed up to do the work. They claim it took them 8 man hours to access what needed to be done, 4 man hours to fix the two outdoor bibs that were leaking. Then they gave us a bill for $1600 for the day and said they would have to come back next week to repair the burst pipe and the valve. Plumber said when they came back work would take around 2.5 hour with two guys working. We made the mistake on letting them come back. It took them a total of 18 man hours (I am not exaggerating, looking an invoice as I type this) to fix the pipe and to replace the valve. Our total bill was a few dollars short of $4000. We have called the office several times asking to talk to a manager or the owner about why the work took so long and to help us understand the charges. No call back. We have reported their price gauging (hour gauging) to the Attorney General Office and encourage you to do the same if you had a similar experience with this company.

I have used Allstate on several occasions. They are now under new management and changed rates and policies. Two technicians were sent to repair one sink with low pressure from weather. They were her for 1.5 hours replaced no parts cleaned a filter and charged $510.00. This is pure price gouging.

We were very fortunate to have Allstate Plumbing come out to our childcare center after a pipe burst due to the hard freeze we had. The gentleman was very professional, friendly, and did an amazing job. We highly recommend Allstate Plumbing!!

Dishonest - non-communicative - bullies. I would rather have my house flooded than have "Allstate Plumbing" come over. We had an issue with a leaking sink and garbage disposal. The estimated cost we got in writing was going to "take no longer than 1-1.5 hours". There have been other posts about the bait and switch tactic they use, but we had used them before (for the same job) so we decided to choose them again.
Now we are being billed $770 for a garbage disposal replacement, this is 3-3.5 hours (over 2x what we were quoted). Any attempts made to talk about the excess charges vs the initial estimate are met with "jobs take longer if you don't pay within 1-week, we will file a lien against your home".
So not only are they dishonest, but now they are bullying me instead of explaining the situation.
Please whatever you do for plumbing services, do not go with "Allstate Plumbing".
Update - after calling and looking for an explanation and back and forth with the manager via email, they are now trying to bully us with a $450 late fee (2 days after the invoice was sent and work completed). The terms clearly state we have 30 days to pay and we are looking for an explanation for the excessive price increase without a work order charge. PLEASE STAY AWAY, this has taken much more time than anticipated and now we truly see what type of sad/soulless/ruthless people this business is run by.

This is the letter I just sent to All State:
Dear All State Plumbing,
I am very unhappy with the amount you have charged me for this work. I feel it is almost twice what I was originally told and expected.
This receipt indicates I signed the Acceptance agreement on the second page. I did not sign that page, nor was I given an estimate of the charges when the technician completed the work.
The technician arrived at my house almost 2 hours late. I had to call your office to find out what was happening with the service man at about 9:00 (he was due at 8:00). No one called to explain the delay. He sat in his truck for some period before coming to my door and was sitting in the truck when I returned from my office after completing the work on the shower. I believe he first came to my door at 10:15, not the 9:45 arrival time you have on your GPS. However, you charged me for the full time his truck was parked at my house. Additionally, you charged me for the credit card and the covid service charge. Although you made me aware of the covid charge, the time and the credit card fee were not disclosed to me when the technician finished the work.
The technician moved a shower head about 12 inches in a wall that was already open. It coundn't have taken 1.75 hours. When I talked to you on the phone, the owner said you round up time to the 1/2 hour. When I booked the work, I was told it was 15 minutes.
Finally, your billing person said she sent a copy of the bill last week. I never received the bill. I searched my email folder and spam folder. It never was delivered to me. However, this bill came immediately, while we were on the phone.
In the past, I've used your firm for 7-8 different projects around my house. Additionally, I've recommended your company many times. Your technicians were always professional and the work was reasonable. Based on this experience, the new owner seems to be taking the business in a different direction. The new norm looks to be add on fees, over charging for time, late service calls with no customer communication, and incomplete or inconsistent billing information.
Good luck with the new business model,
GT

I had an urgent need for help with a hot water heater and washing machine drain, and I was most concerned with ensuring all work was done to code. Larry, the owner, and his team - from Angele in the front office to the plumbers Jeff and Tito - took care of me from start to finish, from expediency to quality, inspection passed easily and I feel well taken care of. Thank you team!

This is a fantastic company to business with. From Carl to Randy and Carlos also the ladies in the office to chris the owner you are in great hands. They took great care of us and my wife and I are very thankful. We highly recommenced them for any of your plumbing needs!!!!

Called these guys at 8:30 for a main line blockage. They said it would be sometime in the afternoon to come out. Then they called back and said it would be sooner, then they called again and said they were on the way. Blockage was cleared about 2 hours after the call. Very professional folks and the cost was very reasonable.

As a property manager here in the greater Austin area, I utilize Allstate Plumbing as my go to trusted plumber in any situation. From large emergency situations to small jobs, Allstate is always prompt and efficient. They're master's of their trade and stand by their word and work. I highly encourage you to give them a call for any of your plumbing needs if you need someone trustworthy and skilled!

I was disappointed with Allstate Plumbing. They put in a hot water heater 4 years ago that I needed to replace because they put in the wrong gas line. Likewise their prices are very expensive. I was a regular customer and will not be going back. In the meantime, I have found 2 excellent plumbers who I am highly satisfied with.
