We contacted AHS on a Friday because of a main line sewer backup. Allstate plumbing picked up the ticket immediately and did not come out or answer phones for nearly 4 days. When they finally sent someone it was Darnell who seemed nice at first. Upon explaining a toilet needed to be pulled because of no clean out we forked over $175 extra to access the drain. Having no knowledge of the back up cause we asked if they'd run a camera of which they said they don't have in there company. So they just ran a snake and had no clue if they cleared the drain. Then he asked us to turn on all the water faucets in the house. This caused a flood in the bathroom of dirty sewage. He then asked us for towels to clean it up which we did. The water had seeped into carpet and walls which we'd already mitigated. So here we are elbow deep in piss to help fix a flood that was already dealt with. As Darnell starts to pack up I ask him to document in writing that there was an overflow due to him asking for the water to be turned on. He became extremely defensive and unprofessional. I was very upset and tried to explain the importance of documentation especially since we now have an unresolved situation worse than when he arrived. All I asked was that he sufficiently document what transpired on the call. He made derogatory comments about me to my face to my boyfriend that he was going to have to ""deal with her"". As an upset client, for good reason, without working plumbing I'm left in a very bad situation.

Two-stars...only because the technician that was sent to our home was fast and efficient...for the business side of things look elsewhere.

If I could give this ZERO stars I absolutely would, do yourself a favor and DO NOT EVER CALL THESE PEOPLE!! It is now THREE weeks without hot water and these people are blaming our warranty company for the delay. We called them to come take a look at our hot water heater. First, we called on a monday and they couldn't come out to us until Friday, this delay in itself is frustrating to begin with, but to add insult to injury the technician came Friday and ran diagnostics and claimed the hot water heater was fine. My roommate came home to another cold shower in the middle of winter because it was NOT fine. We had to wait until Monday to call YET AGAIN for the SAME incompetent technician to come out the following Wednesday and run the SAME diagnostics and magically end up with a different result. He sent over information to American Shield and left out key information they needed to move forward. We now have to wait over a week for a new water heater to be ordered and come in so that it can be installed. By the time we ACTUALLY get hot water it will be over three weeks and maybe even a month of NO HOT WATER in the freezing cold December in Colorado. I've called and talked to the staff at this place and the woman who answered the phone claimed a woman named ""Karen"" was the supervisor. When i called to speak with Karen I asked if she was the supervisor and she replied that she was not. This staff as an entirety is completely unprofessional and incompetent! Why would she tell me that Karen was the supervisor? This entire situation is HIGHLY unacceptable and as you can see from other reviews, this place is TRASH and a complete waste of time. You may be without cold water for an entire month at any given season and it doesn't seem to bother the staff at all. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE IDIOTS!

I was assigned this company through American Home Shield. I cancelled an appointment for them to come to the house. They never showed up or called to tell me they weren't coming. I looked at their reviews. I can't believe American Home Shield uses them. I have been paying for American Home Shield for 18 months and this is the first time I've had to call them for service. I wouldn't use this company.

After reading reviews on here I was worried when AHS assigned them to my case. Justin my technician was friendly and they called me within 20 mins to make the appointment. They arrived on time, in fact dispatch called me to let me know when they would be arriving. Justin was friendly and explained everything to me. My faucet was leaking and Justin seemed to have fixed the problem he explained that the leak was wear and tear and how to fix it if it ever happened again. Pleasantly surprised with the service.

Terrible! This company was assigned to come look at my water heater through American Home Shield. I have yellowish/red water coming out when I run the hot water. The tech came out and said it looked like there was rust in my tank, he offered to drain it but, said it probably wouldn't do much good. He would follow up with the warranty company about replacing the water heater and that in the future I might want to consider a water filtration system. Apparently they reported to AHS that I needed a filtration system and that the city water was dirty and they couldn't do anything about that. I live in a neighborhood that is less than 13 years old and NO ONE has issues with the water in our area. When I called AHS back to complain they sent a follow up request to Allstate Plumbing to come back out but, Allstate refused. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE!

I was assigned this company through Home Shield. After reading the reviews I was scared to death about what kind of monster I was going to be letting into my home. I stayed home from work so that my wife wouldn't have to deal with the crackhead that was going to come into my home.

The guy the showed up was a clean cut, soft spoken, handsome gentleman named Darnell.

He never asked me for money, he went right to work and replaced the fixtures in my tub without any questions. Before he was done, he ran a snake down the tub plumbing just because ""since it is all apart I might as well clean it."" He then cleaned up his mess and asked if there was anything else he could do. When he was done, he said thank you and left.

No fuss, no worry, no problems.

I'm sorry everyone else had problems, but I had no problems at all.

After contacting my home warranty company (AHS), they sent out Darnell who was very professional and courteous. He resolved the issue and provided a thorough explanation. I am pleased with the service.

I would give NEGATIVE stars if possible. I had this company assigned to me through American Home Shield. This was my second claim through AHS. My first got denied due to pre-existing condition - no Freon in my AC. So they send this company to check on the leak from my tub into my ceiling. The guy comes out. Doesn't do anything because they hadn't cut away the ceiling yet. Takes a week to get him back. He comes in the house and asks me if I have a bucket. He's a plumber and doesn't have a bucket? We run the water in the tub. He tells me it's probably the sewage pipe even though it's clearly not leaking. Then he comes upstairs with me and tells me that me that the water in the bathtub was too high- it's been going in the overflow and onto the ceiling. That it was caused by user error. I told him that was ridiculous. The overflow on the bathtub is connected to a pipe that leads down and out of the house. In addition there is a gasket that surrounds it 360 degrees- it has a full seal around the pipe. So I called another plumber, not through the warranty company because I no longer trust the companies they use. He came out, and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had me run water in the tub to check the pipes then had me splash water through the overflow cap, the second of which actually resulted in the leak. Then, unlike the lazy plumber from this company, He actually took off the overflow cap- it took about ten seconds to do- and showed me the seal inside of it. That seal was brittle and broken and there was a crack in the tub behind it. He replaced the seal inside of the overflow cap and caulked the crack. It fixed the leak.

If I would've not gotten a second opinion, I would've ended up with another wet ceiling. This company's plumber told me the overflow cap wasn't fixable! He said that the seal around the overflow pipe wasn't 360 degrees, that it had a hole in it, and it was our fault that the ceiling was wet because we filled up the tub too high. I have to say, this was hands down, the worst experience I've ever had in my life with a repair company. He blamed us for using our tub improperly! All he needed to do was replace the seal in the overflow cap and caulk the crack in the tub! This company needs to close down.

Went through American Home Shield and was assigned this company for a hot water heater fix. Got the run around several times regarding a part that needed to be ordered. Called and spoke with Karen, a supervisor, who was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. She had a serious attitude problem and refused to give me answers on the break down of communication with their company. I called AHS to reassign my work order. DO NOT DEAL WITH ALLSTATE PLUMBING!
