After serving as a US Marine, Melvin pursued technical training in plumbing and HVAC in Arizona. After finishing school, Melvin gained experience at a leading plumbing company in Phoenix. Upon moving to Georgia and working for various plumbing firms, he discovered that none matched the operational excellence of the Arizona company.

In 2003, Melvin and his wife Melissa, both veterans, launched Allgood Plumbing, inspired by the philosophy of treating others how they wish to be treated, a value that Allgood upholds to this day.

In 2013, Allgood Plumbing expanded to include electrical services and technicians, rebranding as Allgood Plumbing and Electric. The company has continued to grow, adding HVAC services in January 2016 at the request of our loyal customers.

Currently, Allgood Plumbing, Electric, Heating & Cooling employs more than 50 licensed and skilled team members who share our core values.

This company's HVAC techs are actually just sales reps. Allgood came out to inspect my heating in the winter of 2016-17. The """"tech"""" spent less than a few minutes listening to my furnace and wrote it off as a total replacement, not worth any money to repair. He spoke to me in a patronizing manner the entire time about how he """"liked me for some reason"""" so much that he wouldn't be turning the gas off because 'normally' this would have been a hazardous situation and it would be his 'responsibility' in the state of Georgia to keep me safe. He then took his 100$ and left and sent a """"comfort advisor"""" (their titles, not mine) to come by and give me a quote for a full replacement (about $7,000). I ignored their quote and continued to use the heating because it was still limping along. The next winter I was having the same issues again and this time called a different HVAC company, whose technician spent more than 2 hours in the crawl space inspecting the furnace to see what was going on. He fixed the issue, and charged about 350$. The same furnace has been running like new since, no issues at all for a couple years now. If I had listened to Allgood I would have wasted thousands. AND to top it all off, they will continue to spam call you forever regardless of how many times you ask them to take you off the call list, up to today, which is what prompted me to finally write them the review they deserved. My suggestion would be to not even call this company in the first place.

This company is a complete bait and switch operation. I had the company come and inspect my furnace for 3 years and suddenly the guy that came out today said it's full of asbestos. How has no other technician ever seen it and magically it's laden with asbestos? Awful company with terrible service and idiots for technicians. NEVER NEVER use this company.

I made several call and left messages with several other companies to schedule for scheduled a service call. The call taker was very polite. Several days later and the day of the service, I receive a call from the same call taker saying he was sorry but they do not service my area. I had already canceled the other companies and taken the day off so that I could be there for the service. Now I am out time and money because the call takers for this company do not know the service area's they cover. Way to go Allgood. would not recommend them.

Thanks for the lesson. I called Allgood for electrical work. The work was fine. It was easily done in less that an hour and a half. My issue is that I was interested in getting the work done and didn't pay close attention to the price workup that the technician gave me I ended up paying something like $400 per hour for some very simple work. I called the office the next business day and was told my issue would be referred to a manager and I expected a call back. No such luck. It is week later. I have read a number of reviews at this site and realize that not only should I not have expected a call back, but I never should have called them for the work in the first place

My mother had someone come out yesterday to replace her AC unit in her condo. The technician arrived at 9am, and didn't leave until 11:30pm. Obviously he didn't have the skill set, knowledge, or experience . If he had, he should have stopped the job and communicated with Allgood to let them know he needed backup. He was using a BLOWTORCH at one point to do the work and hit a pipe which resulted in her condo unit and the one below FLOODING with a foot of water. Her hardwood floors and belongings are RUINED. The technician did not attempt to try and stop the burst like, he bolted out and didn't even finish the job. I couldn't make this up if I tried. The company sent someone over this morning to assess the damage and Allgood's insurance is paying for the damage and replacing everything. I appreciate that they are doing the right thing but this will be a unexpected headache and it was a terrible experience.

I needed an HVAC and plumber and Allgood was able to schedule both appointments on the same day. Everybody from the office making the appointment to the guys that came to service the units were very friendly. I thought $400 to clean coils in an HVAC was a bit high. Overall a good experience.

You can't get better service than what Allgood Plumbing provides. From first contact, to repair or install they're the best. Allgood responds quickly and communicates with their customers throughout. John was extremely nice & courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He installed our new water heater quickly and efficiently. We're very pleased with Allgood and would refer them to anyone needing the services they provide.

I have a bad experience with AllGood installing NEMA 14-50 outlet for my Tesla model 3. AllGood incorrectly oriented the ground pin on the bottom (there is also good safety reason why it is recommended that ground pin should position on top, see homedepot/lowes/google for how NEMA 14-50 outlet should normally be oriented), which make the model 3 plug be in an awkward position when plug in and potentially harm the plug. When I inform AllGood of the problem, they did not stand behind their work and make it right, but charge me for coming out to turn the outlet 180 degrees. I trusted AllGood to know how most EV plug should be oriented or inform me of the common problem so I can contact the manufacture for info if needed. I am disappointed and will not be using their services anymore.

Horrible service please avoid at all cost. Plumber came out to inspect leaking hot water heater and said i needed a new pressure valve. Once installed ($268 bucks later) the unit still leaked and was told i needed a new hot water heater and will cost $1800. I asked for a break down and was advised they do not give break downs. After researching the first fix was only a $15 part so $253 labor cost to change a valve??? Then I found Home Depot and total cost for new hot water heater and install was $1000. Total ripoff!

The original post that I created was with a pure heart.  We had been without a decent heating and air conditioning for years, and the brothers did a great job. However, thinking that we could continue to trust this company was a mistake. We had a pipe issue, and called """"Allgood"""".  We were told that the pipes had to be replaced to the mainline to the street. Pipes were replaced, and we were ensured that the foundation of the home and where the plumbers dug up, was secure. It gave me pause, because there was still a low dip from where the pipe was replaced in our driveway, and from our home to the driveway-there was a clearly visible gap that wasn't sealed.  After we have had multiple floods in our crawl space basement, from the pipeline that was dug out from """"Allgood"""", and the opening from the driveway that was left from the house to the driveway, we were then told, that we have a foundation problem.  We had to have an inspection, after the many long rains of late, that almost completely damaged our water heater and brand new HVAC system for thousands of dollars-the HVAC inspector took the time before ringing the door bell, to inspect the tarp that we had placed over the """"Allgood"""" hole, to keep rain from entering what is now being called a sinkhole from the driveway, underneath our home. The HVAC  inspector kept insinuating that it was a """"foundation problem"""", to which I informed him that we NEVER had a """"foundation problem"""" or flooding before the """"Allgood"""" pipe installation that dug up our basement and driveway. The plumber, Terry, came back and insisted that it was a problem that """"Allgood"""" could not be responsible for, or do anything about. We also found out from another contractor that they performed all of this work without a permit from the city of Atlanta, which they charged us for and most likely pocketed-continued without the legal permit from the city. Now, """"Allgood"""" is telling us that we signed off on them doing the work, which was never even finished correctly in the first place. BUYER BEWARE. """"Allgood"""" took the LAST of our savings, and we cannot do anything more at this point but continue to pump the rain water out of our basement, at our own expense. No, thank you """"Allgood"""".
