This is my second experience with Allen's Plumbing and I'm glad I called them back. The dispatchers, Shaylynn and Cheryl, were extremely polite and helpful with getting me the appointment I needed. They also called me with the technicians' names who were coming to my home and gave me an approximate time that they'd be there.
Joey and Chase came out to look at my solar water heater, which has been leaking intermittently over the last week. Joey explained how my eater heater worked and why it was leaking at times. It turns out that it only needed minor adjustments, but I appreciated him taking the time to explain what he was doing. I will definitely call again if I have any other issues with plumbing in the future. I was charged just a small amount for them coming out. Awesome.

Below is the email I sent to the owner Steve in which he never responded. I have to add that my technician, Daniel (though he was late because of his boss) was professional.

"Aloha Steve,

I am going to also submit a review on Yelp.

Let me first say that I was referred to Allens by my long time friend Jorge Chong of Hawaiian Flooring. I called and made an appointment and had a technician, Daniel, come out and give me an estimate, which there were two amounts, one for approximately 2000$ and a member price that was significantly cheaper.

I initially thought the price was high but when I called I was told I should purchase the membership and I thought that price was reasonable so I requested that as part of my service order and made my appointment.

Keeping in mind that I took paid leave from work off (4hrs at 8hrs of leave accured per month) Daniel showed up almost two hours late. I called and made my complaint, which I was told Id get some discount that Daniel wouldnt see on the invoice.

Daniel and his partner completed half of the job and left while I was at work. I also tipped Daniel 100$ in cash before I left as a good faith gesture.

When I came home I realized that no one had called to schedule a time to finish the remaining drain repair AND there was no discount nor did I recieve the member price ( a little over 1700$).

The following morning (Wed Aug 16) I called and was told that a manager would refund the difference as it was in the notes that I wanted the membership and then I scheduled the remainder of the work for that Friday (Aug 18). Later that day I received a call from the manager stating that I did not qualify for the membership, I voiced my opinion and still continued to keep the appointment with Daniel as he knew the remaining work.

The following day (Thurs) I received a call from Cheryl stating that Daniel wouldnt be available and that he was going to be used on another job even though I was previously scheduled and had an appointment. I said ok.. Then later called back and cancelled.

I then called Waialae Plumbing. They came out the next morning on time and completed the drain repair (widen drain from 1.5 to 2") and they did it in less than three hours for 600$. Their tech asked about the plumbing and I shared my experience with Allens, to my surprise, he said that he would have done it all in one day for 1400$, as thats their average cost for tub to shower conversions.

So what couldve been a 1400$ job cost me 2400$ (1700$ to Allens/ 100$ tip and 600$ to Waialae Plumbing) not to mention my time off that was wasted waiting around for someone to be on time.

Based on my experience, I wont call Allens again, nor will I reccommend Allens to anyone. "

So the moral of this long story, dont bother calling Allen's Plumbing and dont expect a response.

Sage plumbing was able to do the work without cutting a huge hole in my wall. They were able to work in the 1'×1' access hole I made. Once all said and done, I install an access panel to make it look nice.

I have never found it necessary to write a review, but Allen's is that bad. If you're looking for a reliable company that communicates with their customers you NEED TO MOVE ON. I'm writing this review for my grandmother who hired Allen's to replace a laundry sink and faucet and clear a drain line. The 1st plumber came and almost left before caulking the sink to the wall. After he did the job it probably would've been better if he hadn't done it (see pic...the sloppiest job I've ever seen). He also brought the wrong part for the wall covering, said he'd be back that day and still isnt back almost a week later. He also wasn't able to clear the drain line then wouldn't provide a detailed report on the work done (pretty sure they charged for that when the job wasn't done because it was included in the original quote and the final price wasn't reduced). Finally today (6 days later) they said another plumber would be coming @ 11am to finish the job, it's now 5:30pm and no call/no show. DO NOT use Allen's...unless you want an incomplete sloppy job!!!

Emergency situation with my condo, called Allen's Plumbing and they came out the same day. Bennet was the plumber with his young assistant and they reviewed the situation, got the necessary equipment and parts and they were done in good time. No leaks which is a real concern, courteous, friendly, explained everything to me and cleaned up perfectly. I've never experienced anything like this before with a plumbing contractor. Unbelievable experience and I will use them exclusively. I highly recommend them.

Scheduled appointment to have a new kitchen sink installed. I callback to confirm. Then get a callback from dispatcher Martha to say they have to reschedule job plumber stuck on a project that day. Basically I get booted out for a higher paying job. Period. Then gotta wait a week later to schedule an appointment. Smh. Not about the service but about the money with these guys. An their dispatcher is rude AF.waste of time and they dont care of honoring their appointment s and not accomodating to fix their error. Told dispatcher i would try to get another plumber because I cleared my day for this appointment. They scheduled a Saturday only to move me to Tuesday. When I callback now next available appt is Saturday. A week later. Lol. Unapologetic dispatcher who screwed up was not accomodating. I cleared my schedule that day to get job done and she the one with the attitude. Smh. I booked with JBC plumbing for Mon..just know if they got a bigger job you going to get bumped after confirming the appointment. Waste of time and inconvenience.

Great service with a great price. Made an initial appointment with the service technician Chris Freed, who arrived on time and gave an estimate. Chris returned the following week to complete the work; again he arrived as scheduled. He was very professional, hard working and knowledgeable. Cost was over 40% cheaper than another quote.
Very satisfied with Allen's Plumbing and Chris.

Professional support!! Its also good they are open seven days a week to handle any emergency situations that may come up during the weekend. I strongly recommend Allen's Plumbing!

We had a backed up sewer line and called Allen's (as recommended by a neighbor) to camera the line. George was the service tech who did the camera work and he was very knowledgeable and professional. He spotted a couple problems with our line which he showed me in the camera monitor. He explained the available repair options and provided his recommendation to do a "burst". This is a relatively newer technology where they break open the old cast iron pipe and pull a new plastic pipe along the path of the old pipe.

The price wasn't cheap, but on a per-foot basis the bursting method was much cheaper than trenching, and it would give us a brand new pipe that should last for decades. George came back to do the bursting and he and his team completed a very complicated-looking job in less than the estimated time. So far, our sewer problems have been fixed and we were very pleased with the work and the service team.

Besides the actual work and service technicians, the general customer service of Allen's Plumbing should also be commended. Throughout the process of doing the initial camera work, scheduling the bursting, and completing the job, I spoke with multiple members of the office staff. They were all very patient, courteous, and sympathetic to my sewer problems. I was even contacted by the service manager who was very accommodating and responsive to my concerns. I was also impressed with the ease of scheduling; I never had to wait more than a few days to get a service appointment.

I highly recommend Allan's Plumbing, especially for sewer backups and pipe repair or replacement.

So quick! Super easy to work with. Very friendly...realized around 8pm tonight that we had an issue that couldn't wait to be fixed. Called Allen's, gave dispatch all the details and Rose called us back within 10min and got Daniel to come out to our house in under 30min. He was able to detect the issue and fix it. From start to finish, 2hrs tops. I'd highly recommend them again.
