We bought a house with a 14 year old tank less water heater that was not apparently outputting the right temperature for hot water; then developed a slow leak. Called the Home Warranty company and they sent out Greg who verified that the water heater should be changed. Home warranty company approved the work and Greg & Brandon came out and replaced the water heater.
Read the other reviews and seems like most of the negative reviews were for people who's Home Warranty would not or did not approve the work.
We would definitely use Greg and his company again!

DETAILED REVIEW:
My first impression of All System was great, and that impression never changed throughout service and replacement work. They are a local family business, and father and son owners did all the work themselves. I don't understand any of the reviews that have anything less than 5 stars for service and communications, as I received nothing but 5 star service in every way.

I have an AMERICAN HOME SHIELD (AHS) HOME WARRANTY, and this was a AHS claim. I have had a comprehensive AHS Home Warranty for nearly 10 years and have made multiple service calls and had multiple appliance repairs and replacements over the years, usually without issue but occasionally with AHS you have to do battle with as long as you know terms of your agreement you will prevail. My replacement hot water got misplaced at a shipment warehouse partway along the way, that delay was neither AHS or All System fault, just human error by a warehouse employee. Communication by All Systems was fantastic, and they also made many calls to AHS trying expedite the issue. All Systems seems well versed with handling home warranties, just remember home warranty service that required product/appliance replacements ALWAYS takes longer because they source replacements directly from manufacturers or national wholesalers to save a lot of money vs letting local service provider buy directly from local retailer. Fortunately I have been through the home warranty hurdles and delays several times before, so while I did have some delays, that is the down side of a home warranty.
SERVICE: A young man showed up promptly in a new Ford Transit (smaller version). With the Covid 19 shelter at home policy at time of service, he took the time to put on all protective PPE at his van. He was polite, courteous knowledgeable, and professional. Upon his return with his father for replacement work I again received the same polite, courteous knowledgeable, and professional service. Communications between initial call out, and replacement work was outstanding.
HOT WATER HEATER: He took time to a thorough inspection of hot water heater, checking for repairable issues and verified with certainty that the tank had a leak (thus requiring replacement). He also went above and beyond by installing a drip pan to drain hose adapter so a garden hose could be used to run leaking water outside my garage. I am disabled and he additionally connected one of my garden hoses up and ran outside for me. Great service from start to finish. Only hick-up in replacement speed was my warranty company requires shipment of new hot water heater from a warranty company selected wholesaler that is then shipped to a local authorized retailer, no other option by terms of my AHS warranty contract. Once the new hot water heater arrived at Furgusson's in SLO it was delivered to All Systems within 24 hours, and with another 24 hours All Systems replaced my old broken hot water heater with the new one.
GARBAGE DISPOSAL: my garbage disposal was making horrific metal on metal sounds, and I was positive it was going to need to be replaced. The young man spent several minutes doing a complete inspection with power off and on. He found what appeared to be a very well beaten nickel, that was well hidden and not feelable resting under the blades. He removed the coin, and disposal has been working perfectly and is quite again. Trust me I'm just fine with no replacement if equipment is good.
OVERALL: I am very happy and satisfied with my experience and I FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE RECOMMENDING ALL SYSTEMS TO ANYONE, and I am a very picky customer. It appears majority of complaints are associated with home warranty frustrations from company policies and mandated procedural hurdles, beyond All Systems control.
HOME WARRANT SERVICE TIP: For those getting service via home warranties, if you are assigned a service provider that you do not want, cancel your request, then CALL the home warranty company to get service provider assigned over phone call so you can reject a provider you do not want. There is another plumbing company that I will not allow on my property after poor and rude service, that incident was very disappointing as same provider had done above and beyond service years before. How I was assigned All Systems. I'm quite pleased I was assigned All Systems and AHS has All System top rated at 4 stars by their customers.
I am very sorry to have to write a bad review. I own a business and I do not do this lightly - in fact, I have only ever written one other negative review and it was for a dirty hotel. But All Systems was so unethical and caused us so much pain and financial loss that I have to warn others. They should not even have one star. They jumped on the opportunity to take on our job and then proceeded to lie about showing up, not answering calls, hanging up on us, and keeping us waiting for days that ended up costing us business. We lost $2,000 because they said they evaluated our problem and gave an estimate when they did not even look at the issue, and then they did not show up to fix what they said they found. Their behavior is completely unacceptable and as a family business, I regret to report they are all in on it! We tried contacting the husband, the son, and the wife and got the same treatment - lack of response and disrespect. They are unreliable and do not care about people, let alone their business reputation. Fortunately, we were able to find another repairman who fixed what they were supposed to but not after so much frustration, time invested in chasing them, and financial loss. I do not quite understand any of the positive reviews except to say that perhaps they choose which people and jobs where they will be responsive and actually service. So you are lucky if you are one of those few but if you don't want to put your health and business at risk, don't call All Systems.
All Systems deserves negative ratings in my opinion. I purchased a home and had the home inspected. The inspector found a red tag on the furnace. He recommended the furnace be inspected by a professional. The seller chose All Systems In Atascadero. On the invoice provided by the seller, no technician was noted. In different handwriting it is noted ""Gregg Sr removed red tag"". This was September 6, 2019. Other than ""no mechanical failure"" being noted, no systems check was documented. Again this is in different handwriting. Very Shady.....
November 1, 2019 the furnace failed to heat. We purchased a home warranty with Fidelity National but since All Systems supposedly fully serviced it, my realtor contacted All Systems to come back. They Refused! All Systems repeatedly claimed ""it was working when we were there"". We gave All Systems every opportunity to correct their work they did or failed to do. They chose not to. Simply put, this is the most unprofessional act from a company I have ever experienced. It gets better.....
I contacted Fidelity and they sent out a different company. (They first tried sending All Systems...LOL). In five minutes the technician stated the furnace is shot. He asked if anyone looked at it recently. I stated All Systems claimed they did. He showed me the rust and corrosion. He stated no professional would allow the furnace to be used under those conditions. He shut off the gas and stated that was CA law. Cutting to the end, I am getting a new furnace with assistance from the home warranty company.
All Systems in an incompetent, unprofessional company that lacks integrity. Instead of standing by their work, they scurried away like roaches when put under the spot light.
Phillip M.Prompt, friendly and professional service. Able to setup an appointment in a very reasonable time frame and came right at the time they said they would. Fixed our leaking hose bib that's used by our washer. No issues at all, and the work looks professional. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone and will use them again in the future.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We have used this company a few times through our home warranty ins. I should have read the other reviews on here before we used them again. I will request to my home warranty company to not use them anymore. The same stuff as the other customers complain of; No showing to appointments after taking off work to wait for them, no call or apologies. Not returning our calls, etc. Even the work they did was shotty and I had to have another plumber come over and redo the work they did. Each time they have been negligent in returning our calls. Anytime you have to cancel or are a no show to a customer they should at least receive a call as a courtesy. Not this outfit!!! They left my wife, kids, baby, etc. and I without hot water for over 2 weeks!!! Promising to come back and then no show, no return of calls, knowing we have no hot water they could have told us they couldn't get to it or given the job to someone else. But instead they kept promising to come by and then didn't show up and no call. Just plain bad business and service. DO NOT USE!
All systems was horrible. Read all the 1 star reviews. They do not stand behind their service and take a week to respond to calls. For all your plumbing needs, avoid this company. They believe drain cleaner is the method to solve your needs. Save your money and avoid this company. Greg did not return multiple calls and when he finally did after a week, he states they no longer work weekends. Like I'm going to take a day off from work for his staff to pour more drain cleaner down my drain. Not happening.
Angela B.HORIBLE!!! This guy was here yesterday to fix my ac. He was here for about 15 minutes. Checked my vents, never got up on the roof to check the actual unit. He said I just needed to change the filter & warranty doesn't cover that. I said I can do that if you're sure that's all it is. He said something about registering the temperature in the vents and he was sure. Then he added, if there is still a problem, call me & I'll come back. I bought & installed the filter, still wasn't working. I called the guy. I left a message. No return call. Had to call about every 1/2 hour about 4 times after that before he finally picked up. Told him the situation. He said I'm going to buy refrigerant, I'll call you afterwards. The guy never did call back. It was about 7pm before he finally picked up his phone (I had to call MULTIPLE times again to get through). He said he was not coming back that night and he has 6 calls sat (today), but he will call to let me know what time he can come out. I explained that I was his priority because my appt was Friday & he didn't finish the job. Also, that my son & I both have medical conditions & we are suffering in this triple digit heat. He put on his best customer service voice and kept saying I understand, I understand. Now my landlord got another vendor that can't come until Tue...fml!
This guy (I'm sure he's the owner) is unprofessional & untrustworthy! Won't even return a call or just call to let you know what's going on. I wish I didn't have to give him any stars on this review! I'll definitely be spreading the word. Maybe even complaining to the BBB. I never write reviews btw...this place is just that awful.
I am a repeat customer of All Systems. They have a sterling reputation in the community of homeowners. I can say that because a colleague recommended All Systems as the best plumber they had found and I have recommended All Systems to friends and colleagues, with the same feedback: All Systems is great. In reading some of the negative reviews it appears the problem is with home warranty contracts, which are very specific in how customer service requests are handled and dictate how their contractors must handle home warranty work. I had a home warranty contract one time and never again for the same reasons everyone with home warranty service contracts have written angry posts. If you have to go through a third party to get warranty work you better be prepared to live with delays and inconveniences. Enough said.
I first heard about All Systems from a colleague. I wanted to have a tankless water heater installed. Greg from All Systems was scheduled. The old, wasteful water heater was removed and he got to work with the installation. Switching systems involves some conversion work. Greg fabricated a mounting bracket (wood) so when the tankless system starts up the mounting bracket would absorb the sound and it would not reverberate throughout my house. I had heard some homeowners complain about the sound the tankless makes when it fires up. Not my system. Once installed they tested the system and went over the product and their work warranty. All Systems were very respectful of the time they were working inside my home. Cleaned up the floors and removed debris. That got my attention.
Thereafter I have had All Systems handle all of my ordinary, garden variety homeowner's maintenance: gate valves that fail over time, dripping faucets, replace bathroom faucets and bath hardware, annual cleaning and flushing of the tankless water heater, maintenance of my existing central heating and air conditioning unit, etc. I have recommended All Systems to others and can attest to their professionalism. When the time came to replace my old heating and air conditioning system, Greg evaluated what my needs were and best cost options. He said the original system was under sized and recommended a higher efficient larger system. He gave me an excellent price and we scheduled the installation. Not only was the old system (which was located in the second floor attic) removed and the new system replaced, but they cleaned up. I mean there was not a hint of debis or even finger prints. Amazing!
I know these reviews are important and people are often quick to post 1 star nasty reviews. Some people only post glowing reviews that are maybe over statements. The truth lies somewhere in the middle. But I have to say that All Systems has earned every one of the 5 star rating in my review. As mentioned in the beginning, I am a repeat customer and will not tolerate poor craftsmanship and poor customer service. You shouldn't either. Thus I gladly recommend All Systems. 5 star service and pricing.
Kevin M.Terrible customer service! I had a confirmed appointment on 4/23/2019 at 4pm for an A/C system check up. No one showed up! No call no show. I called at 5pm to see if they are coming and was sent straight to voicemail. I emailed them twice and left two messages with no responses. I do not recommend this company unless you want your time wasted.
