In West Valley City, my brothers and I gained plumbing skills from our father. At 11 years old, I was unaware of the valuable lessons my dad was sharing. I entered my plumbing apprenticeship at 17, working with my older brothers in Salt Lake City. I developed skills in handling main water lines, water heaters, and water softeners. In honor of our father, my brothers and I started a plumbing repair company called Carl's Sons Plumbing. We had great experiences together, but I felt the urge to create my own path. Consequently, I founded All Hours Plumbing Heating & A/C, a company dedicated to residential repairs. Ten years later, I still consult with my brothers to exchange knowledge and insights. One can never know everything in the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning industry. My brother Jim has been managing Carl's Sons Plumbing in Big Bear, California, for 27 years. As a plumber, my father took great pride in his craft and in raising a family of 12. He involved us in his work, teaching us fundamental plumbing skills as children. This left a lasting impression, shaping our work ethic and knowledge. I started my plumbing apprenticeship at 17, working alongside my brothers in a large residential repair shop close to 7th East and the I-80 Freeway in Salt Lake City. In that shop, I refined my skills on main water lines, water heaters, water softeners, and other labor-intensive jobs. We established a company in honor of our dad, running it as Carl's Sons Plumbing for around two years. Ultimately, I chose to create my own business independently. I am grateful for the knowledge I gained from my father and older brothers.
