I am writing this review to warn others about the deceptive pricing practices we encountered when we selected Aladdin to replace our water heater. On May 20, 2019, Jason from Aladdin's came out to give us a quote to replace the water heater. We were quoted $1,065 for the work and were told that if we didn't authorize work immediately, we would have to wait days to have anyone come back. It had already been a few days since our water heater worked, so we authorized the work. We wish we would have taken more time to question the charges, as we discovered major differences between the cost of the items and what we were charged. Specifically:

+ The permit from the city cost $68.09, but Aladdin charged us $150
+ The expansion tank that he mounted cost $64.25, but Aladdin charged us $250
+ The gas drip leg line cost no more than $10, but Aladdin charged us $95
+ Nothing was wrong with our old pipe insulations and could be reused, but Aladdin charged us $45
+ Nothing was wrong with our old exhaust vent line, and Aladdin charged us $100

In short, we were charged hundreds more than we should have been. I felt that it was important to warn other consumers about the deceptive billing practices, which is why I left the review. I have seen other contractors provide itemized bills that detail the cost of materials (without a markup) and the cost of labor. But the fact that Aladdin's is not transparent makes me question whether his practices border on fraudulent. We have attempted to resolve this issue with Aladdin's several times, but the owner refused to even meet us halfway.

I would suggest you go with another company and save yourself the headache (and avoid getting ripped off).

The best plumbing company in the OC hands down. Dan can fix anything! His work is top quality. I recommend Aladdin's for any plumbing issue. They are Great!!!

Fantastic company and great team! We received our water bill and found that the meter was spinning like a top. Checked the entire house for leaks without luck. (We shut the main from the street down etc.). The Aladdin team guided us to re-check and shut the secondary main line to the sprinkler down and we isolated one problem, BUT coincidentally the entire house dropped in pressure to zero. All on a weekend, hours before an engagement party and another party at the house two days later. Can you say stress!

The Aladdin team moved work schedules to fit us in between other jobs on a Saturday afternoon within a few hours of our call. They located the problem, replaced the main value/regulator and validated the secondary issue.

The team is very knowledgeable, professional, timely and honest. They know how to get the job done!

I would recommend them for all plumbing needs without hesitation!

Great service, prices and follow up. Have worked with Aladdin quite a few times and always have had exceptional service and great quality of work. They are my go to plumbing company.

Don't use if you are going through an appliance insurance company, overcharged so much more than plumbers in the area, claims to have to pull a permit with the City which was never done. Insurance company paid for the water heater and Aladdin charged $900 for installation, pipes in the wall rattled when the hot water was used, came back to check where the noise was coming from, cut a hole in my drywall, left as he didn't have the right bracket to secure the pipe, came back a third time and secured the pipes but left the hole in the drywall saying he would turn a claim and have the drywall patched. You guessed it, never heard back and never got the permit. So three weeks to install a water heater that was paid for and was grossly over charged for the install, nice family owned company, use if you want the big rip off.

These guys kill me!! Never good news when they call me, but, I tell you what.. they are honest, genuine, hard-working and hilarious guys. I don't use anyone else. Aladdin and Bhakti are good blokes that don't rip you off or give you the incorrect diagnosis is make money off the client..

Hopefully the next call I get from them will be to talk about the footy game back home in Australia.

I've been wanting to sit down and write a review for Aladdin Plumbing for awhile. It is something I knew I had to do.

My home had a ruptured pipe and ""Aladdin"" came to my home and handled the repair. Words cannot adequately express the comfort level my daughters and I had with Aladdin Plumbing during the process of the repair. They dealt with my insurance carrier providing the necessary documentation.

This has been our family home for 20 years. My two daughters rent the home from me. They called and told me how great ""Aladdin"" was. They both told me he was the nicest person and communicated with them so well. I am telling you this because they are always on the lookout for someone trying to take advantage of us in a crisis situation.

Aladdin answered most every call from me and if he wasn't able to answer, he responded back quickly. Even after hours! He explained everything that needed to be done. He involved my young adult daughters too. All in all it was a great experience.

I would/will call this company for any plumbing needs in the future. They work efficiently and effectively. I trusted Aladdin 110% and living away from this home in another city I was ever so thankful to have found ALADDIN! Thank you Aladdin Plumbing!

This is my third repair completed by Aladdin. I have nothing but praise. They have been the best find through my home warranty company! They were able to get a part for my master bathroom when I couldn't get the manufacturer to call me back. They just finished (at 930pm tonight) a temporary water heater after my water heater blew out. Thank you Dan & Bhakti! I appreciate having water in my house with a long holiday weekend coming up!

Someone from Aladdin's plumbing came to my house last night to help fix my water heater. He said he would be back with the part and never came back. Haven't heard from him all night or today. It's awful. Don't trust it. On the phone with my credit card company to cancel my charges. I even spent at extra 100$ to have him come out for an emergency and tipped him 20$ for it being so late. Literally awful.
