Akian came after another guy didn't do the job right (and charged us almost as much as they did to do it right even though he did the wrong work), got us heat and had the problem fixed with a long-term solution. I read the reviews on here and that's why I called them. They sent an expert, were very fair price-wise I thought. They were clean and tidy, polite, communicative, gave an estimate and then proceeded - overall, very professional. Good guys!

Akian Plumbing is definitely your go to plumber! I called this morning at 10, and by noon, they fixed my toilet and it is all good now! Cost is reasonable too! Billy is a very helpful and professional technician. Amazing service!

These guys are great. We used them twice in one week: to replace an old garbage disposal, and to service our boiler. They call in advance of their arrival, show up when they say they will, clean up when they're done, and are very thorough and professional. We've been having problems with our heating system for years. He got heat to come out of a duct that's been useless forever, and made adjustments that reduced the noise level and improved airflow overall. Very impressed.

Grigor & Thiago showed up within the timeframe I was given by Steve, and Steve actually kept me posted along the way.

They were ready to go on the clogged toilet I had called about and that job seemed like a breeze. Grigor has a way of explaining things without sounding condescending to a non-plumber and I truly appreciate that. He tried to show me that my garbage disposal could be fixed rather than replaced.

As they were wrapping up, Thiago noticed a leak coming from my upstairs bathroom that I didn't even realize I had, it was luck on my part that they were there and saw it before it caused more damage. After I asked them if they could fix that one too, it was fixed in no time.

I can rest easier knowing that I have reliable plumbers on call should I need one. Thanks guys!

Had one initial conversation over the phone about setting up a date to make repairs. Yes, I can definitely do this, was the response, but I must let you know a good day coming up next week. OK, great. Then a week goes by and nothing. Following that, 4 (polite) calls trying to nail down a date to actually come and do the work fell into a black hole. 2 weeks wasted for nothing.

Steve, Steve, Steve...some free advice - hire an Admin. Assistant to take your calls and do your scheduling so you don't piss off any more customers. You either can't handle the administrative end of your business or you just don't give a rat's @ss to get back to people in a professional manner. Sure hope it's the former...

Great service, good prices. I broke my shower trying to fix a leak, and they were willing to send someone immediately to fix it. They were up front about the cost difference though, and recommended waiting until the next day to avoid emergency prices. What I expected to be a large job involving ripping out my wall to replace the broken valve turned into a 20 minute job.

The plumber really knew what he was doing and came prepared with the specific tools he would need to switch out all the internal components of the valve (Symmons), without having to take out the old case (which would have required him to remove part of my tiled wall). He was very friendly and answered all the questions I had. He even fixed my broken shut-off valve for free after I shut off water to the whole building, so next time that won't be necessary.

In the end I feel like I saved a ton of money and learned a lot!

From an administrative standpoint this business is also very well run. They're quick to respond with quotes and advice, up front about costs, and handle payment electronically.

My experience with Akian plumbing is great. I was looking for a plumber to change my bathroom faucet and found Akian plumbing on Yelp. Stephen gave me a quote and replied questions very fast. Bill did an amazing job replacing the faucet and he also brought additional supplies. I highly recommend Akian plumbing and will definitely use them again if I have other problems in the future.
