Calling for a maintenance calls, it goes straight to a call center where you have to press several buttons before talking to someone. We were able to schedule a maintenance call for the following week. We waited around all day to finally get a text from a technician scheduler to say that he would not be there till after 4:30 and if that was OK, to let them know. We went ahead and said yes, please. We got another text at 7 PM saying that the tech was heading to another emergency and if he could swing by our place after that. We declined and then decided to schedule for the following day. The technician scheduler asked us when we would like to schedule the appointment and we answered with the following day in the am, they said great, they would be there! we again waited around all day until the technician finally texted at 5 PM that he would be there in 30 to 40 minutes. The technician came assessed everything maintenance wise re-taped a duct together, and diagnosed that by taking the readings that that the dual run capacitor needed to be changed out for $427. We agreed and had the work done. We had another company come out to do a second opinion, and after it was supposedly fixed by AIRCO, was still getting the same readings as prior to the repair. So what did they fix and charge us for? AVOID THIS COMPANY!!

Air Co upon our request sent two persons to review our system and provide and estimate of the cost of replacement. The provider name Paul was perhaps the poorest estimator I have ever encounter. He said he was an exclusive Trane installer and as a result they could only use Wells Fargo. However we have spoken to multiple estimates for Trane which have various finance sources. Several times he stated they were a premier dealer and cost would range from 17k to 26k. At one point Paul told my wife to calm down, which is extremely rude, she was not excited, she was not rude she was attempting to obtain information. I would not use this company nor should anyone that believes customers should be treated with respect. Their phone is 817 618 0947 the receptionist was profession however the estimator the person representing the company in person should not ever step in some ones home.

They came out the same day and sent Joel and Felipe. They knew exactly what to do and did an amazing job. They were very professional, courteous and very knowledgeable!!! AirCo is a great fair company and I will be referring them to all my friends!! Very fairly priced!!

If you are replacing an existing system and there is any restriction it the drain line AirCo will charge you $370.00 to repair the drain line. New PVC is cheaper. If you have an issue with your compressor in a new outdoor unit under warranty. They will replace the compressor. Not the unit. AirCo also has the right apparently to go through your boxes in the attic. All they want is money. They do not want to form any relationship. Good luck having someone call you back.

We bought a complete Trane HVAC system from Airco that included 10 years warranty on parts, labor & 12 years on the compressor in Feb 2011. Since we don't know anything about HVAC system other than they provide heat & AC, we signed up with their maintenance package where they come out twice a year to maintain the system.
We followed the manufacturer & their tips with keeping the inside & outside unit clear of debris, change out filters, look for leaks, listen for strange noises, etc. And leave the coils maintenance to licensed professional to handle.
Three days after installation, they had to replace water sensor.
Twelve days later, they had to adjust something to make the noisy whistling sound go away.
In June 2013, evaporator coil frozen and suction schrader valve leaked.
Few years later, the outside unit was making weird noises again. They had to change out the compressor.
One time they charged us $286 to clear the drain line because they said is not covered in the warranty.
Since we are ignorant about how it works, we never followed or chat with the tech. We just leave the tech alone to do his thing.
On March 2022, our warranty just had expired when the tech found the evaporator coil badly corroded. He said that happened because we didn't have it clean at all. We had no idea what an evaporator coil is, what it looks like or where it was located. So how would we know to clean it? We thought it was the job of the licensed professional to clean & maintain it anyway.
We suspected that since we are ignorance of the HVAC industries & never question them or even look when they went around to maintenance, they probably just fiddle around and then report that our system is running fine & had us sign off the invoice on those previous appointments. From what we know now is the evaporator coil is the heart of the system. Without it, the system will not work. He gave us an estimated repair cost of around $6K. That's a big repair bill we were not expecting and could not afford. We declined the repair.
After the tech left, we discovered that they installed a different system by looking up the model # & the serial # on the unit. Apparently, they had installed an older year model without informing us at the time. We would have never signed off if we were informed before the installation in the first place. All these years, not once we wanted to take the sealed tape off to look inside even out of curiosity. As consumers, we know not to tamper with the inside of the system to void warranties.
We voiced our complaint with one of the manager over the phone that we just recently notice the wrong system was installed and the maintenance were not done properly because they would have caught the corrosion a long time ago, etc. It was not the usual wear and tear. We mentioned that we don't know anything about HVAC so we never followed or watch any of the tech do their maintenance job. So if they said everything is ok, then we trusted them to be ok and sign off.
We found in the Trane installation manual that they indicated the system we bought had major design modifications. But Airco insisted that there is no difference in the unit they installed vs. the one we bought and said the techs always perform their duties because they are the experts and we are not, and so on. But instead of working it out with us to a compromise agreement, Airco pushes us to buy a new system that costs $12K - $15K.
It got nowhere for days into weeks so we sued them in Small Claims Court.
Several days before court, Airco's lawyer called us denied any wrong doing but made an offer $3330 to settle our suit. We declined.
On court day, we presented our case to the judge. Airco still denied any wrong doing and asked the judge to dismiss our claim due to statute of limitations of 2 years. Our understanding under the law, the limitations does say within 2 years but also said within 2 years after discovery (which we did 11 years later.)
The small claims judge ruled in our favor.
Almost 30 days later, instead of receiving a check from Airco, we received a letter from County Court that Airco appealed the case. We couldn't afford a lawyer so we represented ourselves again.
Look like they knew we will lose because we are representing ourselves without the knowledge of the law, not presenting our case like a lawyer would and had no expert witnesses to back us up, their lawyer had papers with judge ruling in their favor for the judge to sign 1 hour prior on court day. We lost the case. However, the judge did say that we an option to file an appeal within 30 days. Well, we are too old, too ignorant of the law to appeal and most definitely can't afford to hire a lawyer. We're going to let it go. Of course, we will tell everyone we know & they will tell everyone they know & so on about our story and not bring Airco any businesses.

Bought a Trane unit from Airco and when I have needed help after hours they have no one to assist. I will never buy from them again. Horrible service

We called AirCo out to look out our AC because we noticed the fan was not turning off. They found the problem and it was covered under warranty....super! They added a long list of other recommended repairs that we declined....our house is only 3 years old. They told us they had to order parts and would call us within 48hrs to schedule repairs. A week went by and we didn't hear anything so my husband called for an update. We were told the part was back ordered but they'd get it fixed by the end of the week. 3 weeks go by and we hear nothing. I called at the 3 week mark and no one could seem to help me so they told me a manager would call.....no one ever called. A few days later my husband calls and they said they can't get the part so they are going to pull a part from somewhere else and we'd be getting a call the next day to schedule repairs. No call...again. Then the following Friday an AC repairman shows up at our front door ready to do the work they promised 5 weeks prior.
Awful communication
Very inexperienced

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - We contacted AirCo on 12/22/2022 regarding a cold draft we have been feeling come through the air vents occasionally. They came out and charged $85 to inspect and told us a $450 part needed to be replaced, an $850 duct cleaning needed to be done, and a $450 blower repair needed to be done. This is all for a TWO YEAR OLD HOUSE/UNIT (Carrier top of the line model as well). We thought this quote was high and had a second company come out for an opinion, they immediately found that it was just a programmable setting on the Ventilation Controller and that nothing was actually wrong, it was just setup incorrectly during installation (literally changed two settings and confirmed everything is operating perfectly fine and told me our ducts were slightly dusty, but that they did not feel right charging us to even clean them at this point as it was normal for being 2 years old). If ANYONE needs Heat or AC service in the Fort Worth area, call "Moore Than Air" at +1 (972) 383-9510 and they will provide thorough, experienced, and unlike AirCo, HONEST work! If AirCo reads this, know that Baltazar is inexperienced, unethical, and flat out lied to our face. All he wanted to do was charge us for a recurring service plan and charge us hundreds of dollars for a fresh air damper that WAS NOT BROKEN and is UNDER MANUFACTURER WARRANTY - Terrible company and I'm happy all I paid you was $85 and not $1900...

Airco installed an AC unit in our house in 2016. In July of 2021 our AC went out and we had a technician come and inspect it at that time. He proceeded to tell us that it was the evaporator coil and it would be $1700 dollars he comes back within 30 minutes and tells us he made a mistake and that it wasn't the evaporator coil it was the compressor. When we ask him how much a compressor will be he stated it will still be 1700 dollars, keeping in mind the part is under warranty and this is strictly labor cost. He tells us that if it goes out within the next two years it will be completely no cost to us. July of 2022 we have a technician come out on a Monday and confirms that our compressor is bad. We ask if the part is on back order and he states that they have had no issues getting part and that it usually takes about 2-3 days to get the part. We receive no communication from Airco until Wednesday saying that they are going to schedule our appointment for Friday. Friday comes and no communication from the service manager, we have to call him to find out that the part is still not available. When we ask what the hold up is on the part he proceeds to tell us that they are waiting for the part to be off the manufacturing line. He assures us that he will have the part by the following Monday and that we are his first priority. Monday comes around and no call from the service manager. We call him to find out that the part is still not available and they are going to reschedule us and we are his first priority. When the part does arrive the technician comes to the house and they have the wrong size compressor. The technician leaves our house and we wait to hear from the service manager, of course no communication from him until we call him. We finally get our AC fixed on Wednesday the following week, when we are out of town. We never get paperwork or a courtesy call from the service manager stating that it was done. We will never use Airco again. It was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Their communication is terrible and they have no sense of urgency at all. I wish I was able to give them zero stars. Beware of this company.

Living without A/C for the last couple of days, which have had highs ranging from 103 to 106 degrees has me feeling a bit irrational, so if this is a rant, forgive me! I would like to review the services offered by AirCo, but outside of the many perfectly pleasant dispatchers that I spoke to, I never received any services from AirCo. I called on Sunday morning when I woke up to a hot house and was told that the dispatcher was requesting same day service. I was thrilled, but later received a message from them saying they wouldn't come until Monday. We boarded our dogs and booked a hotel, as with 106 degree temps, the house quickly became uninhabitable. Monday rolls around and the house is 87 degrees and rising to nearly 90 by the end of the day, and my husband sat in the house all day waiting for the technician to come in fear that if he left for a moment he would miss them. I got a text at 4:30 pm saying that they weren't coming because they were dealing with emergency calls and I should call dispatch to reschedule. My response, "Did I ever imply that this wasn't an emergency? I'm already $600 in for dog boarding and hotels and I'm staring down an HVAC issue that is going to cost me. What does a gal have to do to get on the emergency list where you can actually get a service call?" I call dispatch and got the run around because the person I was speaking to wasn't committing to an appointment day. My second call was to a sweet lady who said, "We will definitely be there tomorrow." When I hung up my husband and I looked at each other and both commented that they probably wouldn't be coming the following day. We just couldn't trust them. Here is my issue, I understand that there is a heat wave and demand is high. That being said, AirCo should give customers a reasonable time frame for service calls and don't lie when lives are on the line. Heat kills... so don't give inaccurate timeframes, and hope to the hopeless, because your company is going to keep someone in their home waiting for you unnecessarily and eventually it is going to cost lives. Had they told me they didn't plan on coming on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, we would have done what we did tonight and set out to call other companies. Guess what, the first one we called felt so bad for us that they finished the job they were on and were at our house within an hour even though it was 6pm when we called. It took 20 minutes to identify and replace the faulty run capacitor and cool air is restored. So if you are on the fence about trusting this company, let me help you... Don't! Find a local small business run by someone who cares.
