Rob M.I had regularly scheduled maintenance on my AC (which they installed 7 years ago and took them 5 years to make it work right, another story). In the process I signed up for their ""service contract"" where they charge ~$30 per month and you get annual service on your AC and heat. I'm a believer in regular maintenance so even though they charge high prices for work, I like that someone looks at it every year. They scheduled the regular service 2 months ago for today, which I thought was a little late, but thats what they had. Well my regular service happened to fall on the first 90+ degree day of the year and guess what. An hour before they were supposed to show up they called to cancel because ""a technician had personal problems"". Such BS. I know they are now charging triple for emergency service because they can, and because they already have my money. Why would they come to my house. No matter that I rescheduled my daughters appt. so I could be home for this. And the reschedule date is in 3 weeks, which if we have another heat wave will be rescheduled again I""m sure. High prices and unreliable service, what's not to love. Canceling my contract with them today.
called the Aiello office before April 30th, 2022 and made an appointment on May 17th, between 8-9 am, and waited home the due day until 9:40, then called the company and get an answer says they were trying to get back to me for an reschedule less than 24 hours before, and needed to reschedule it to June sometime. I had to schedule the time off from work for this a week before, with such a short notice of re-scheduling would certainly got me off. I guess this company is over scheduling their work and will drop the client relentlessly like this any time.
Needed a sink p-trap put on but found my old galvanized pipe was in poor shape. I wanted it removed from the reduction bushing and replaced. Their plumber said he wouldn't remove it because there might be problems with the galvanized pipe going to basement. My wife wanted the new sink hooked up after 12 days without one (had a new kitchen put in). He ended up cutting the pipe and adding a rubber extension and a piece of pvc to connect (used) to the sink. Downspout , p trap and pvc tube were supplied by me. For $500 in 30 minutes he cut the pipe and assembled it. When I got the pdf invoice it showed the price and $50.00 coupon As well as custom plumbing repair
but now way to see what the 50 was taken off of. When I called and asked for an itemized receipt, they said they had no way to provide one.
Yes the sink works but what an effing RIPOFF. Do not use this company.
Called Aiello to get a quote on a pressure reduction valve for my water service. They quoted $1360 for the job. Being a retired remodeling contractor I knew this quote was excessively high, and told them so. I was expecting something in the $400 range, and subsequently received two other quotes from licensed plumbers for the job. One was $375 and the other was $440.
When I questioned the Aiello contractor about the quote, he confessed that about $500 was for work that he thought ought to be done, but not a part of the valve installation I requested. I asked him to quote only the work I requested, and they still came in at $800. I asked them to go away, but still had to pay their $99 fee to get their rip-off quotation.
My advise is to avoid doing business with these people.
The cute little tag line (""Hello Aiello"") and the sexy receptionist on the commercials does not come close to making up for the excessive cost and upselling that takes place when they get to your home. We were told our 10 year old boiler was ""no good"" and that we needed $4,500 worth of work on it to fix our issues. After calling another HVAC contractor we were able to fix our problem for $1,600 and they said we had one of the best brand of boiler units that was in really good shape. Always get multiple quotes to avoid getting fooled by places like Aiello!
Lee H.Office quoted 99$ plus 99$ NOPE 99$+699.......left a mess didn't put the drain caps back it's all recorded so will see. What a joke
My experience with Aiello has bothered me for a while and I feel I should at least put it in writing for people to know. I contacted Aiello back in August I believe to install a kitchen faucet for my daughter. They scheduled a date and arrived on time. I dont know the actual conversation that transpired with my daughter regarding the cost because I wasnt there but in any event we went through with the installation. The bottom line is that the technician took approx. 45 minutes to install the faucet and I had to pay over $600. Its hard to fathom that any routine plumbing job could amount to $600/hour. I promptly called to voice my frustration and was given some speech about their extended hours of manning the phones, their anytime response and the fact they have to pay for this overhead. I have to say they did send me a $75 check as I guess a good will gesture but I still cannot believe what they charged for the time spent. I would urge everyone who may consider them to at the very least get an up front cost before even scheduling them.
Quick to respond, BUT quoted $850 for dishwasher replacement/installation (new dishwasher had already been delivered) by technician who came to the house. First told there was no "" standard"" charge, then told that it was their standard labor charge and not negotiable. My own plumber installed for $225 with no difficulty.
Matthew S.You know how when you go to the grocery store and buy $10 worth of groceries you get a receipt? Pretty standard. Interestingly enough if you spend over $3,000 with these people you don't get a receipt. You also do not get a quote in writing.
When you call Robert with your concerns, he in a very argumentative way tells you that it's all in front of him in writing. That's great Robert. Here's the thing: it's not in front of me.
It's also not in front of the onsite contractor who you refused to work directly with. It's also not in front of the 74 year old home owner, who is out of state recovering from a medical procedure. A 74 year old man that in the opinion of any other electrician in the area was unarguably taken to the cleaners by your scum bag company.
To date, we have no receipt or record of the transaction with this company other than a credit card charge. After a lengthy remodel and efficiently keeping costs down, the only black eye is from these folks.
After reading other reviews it seems the common thread is exorbitant pricing and taking advantage of the elderly. Very sad.
Terri K.We have a cape style home but wanted air conditioning so mini splits were the answer. We met with multiple installers. Aiello Home Services offered the units we wanted (Mitsubishi) and provided both the electrical upgrade and installation at a competetive price and at our convenience. They texted and called when on their way. A few delightful surprises included an overhead light installed on our basement ceiling, replacing a hideous electrical pipe outside, and when we pointed out that the black electrical connecting wires were unsightly, they came out within the week and covered them with attractive white PVC AFTER we had paid! This is the first time we hired them but we will continue to use Aiello's for our plumbing and electrical needs because they were polite, clean, prompt and reponded quickly.
