Just had our routine heating and AC inspection. Our technician's name was Austin who turned out to be extremely knowledgeable about his field. He spent well over an hour with us and was able to suggest repairs vs replacement options , ( and rationals for and against each one), in layman's terms that were understandable. My husband and I appreciated his obvious expertise and candidness and will look more closely at Affordable Plumbing and HVAC for repairs or replacement of our current heating and AC sas a result of his suggestions. I only gave a 4 instead of a 5 rating because Austin's boss reportedly would only guarantee the price quotes through today. We interpreted those remarks as high pressure sales to which we never react favorably.

I had a wonderful experience with this company. I was super impressed with the great customer service from Bridget and Preston.. and they were early, they were super polite, and they actually listen to what I said. I can tell they sincerely cared about fixing all my problems. I would recommend them anytime and I will continue to use them whenever I have an issue. This company needs to keep hiring people like them.

All I needed was to reattach a garbage disposal where kitchen counters ppl had to detached. Crazed plumber wanted to charge me almost $700. I ask him to leave

One of my properties had low water pressure from the kitchen faucet. I have many rental properties in Mobile so I use plumbers frequently. I decided to try Affordable Plumbing because my usual plumber was not available. The technician came out and said I needed new supply lines and were 95% confident that that was the issue. They replaced the supply lines and charged $275 and that didn't solve the issue so they said I needed a new faucet. They quoted me $455 ($346 + $20 fuel charge + $89 service fee) to replace the faucet, not even including the new faucet so I would have to spend my time and money to go and buy that separately. That's on top of the $275 I had to pay for the supply lines that didn't even fix the issue. I expressed my displeasure to the technician and he said he would call the office to see what kind of discount they could offer. They offered a $25 coupon! Only $25! At this point it is really laughable. They did offer to waive the supply line charge if I used them to replace the faucet. I asked them how much for their cheapest faucet, mostly out of curiosity and so I could post the cost in this review. They quoted $777 for a faucet replacement and that is your low end, rental quality faucet that you can buy at Home Depot for less than $50. These people should be ashamed of themselves charging these prices and misleading customers by naming their company """"Affordable"""" Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. This company should be called UN-Affordable Plumbing, Heating and Air. Stay away from this company. Walley or Hansen are both better options if you want to use a larger company.

Affordable Plumbing in NOT affordable by any means! I had a clogged kitchen sink pipe that I had tried Green Gobbler x3 to no avail. Then the garbage disposal started leaking. I called Affordable Plumbing and they responded the next day (Sat I think) and made an appt for Mon. The y had to cancel on Monday due to illness but came on Tues a.m. on time. He assessed the issue which would require snaking the pipe and replacing the garbage disposal. No big deal. When he quoted the price, I about croaked. Over $1000! I shood had said forget it as I knew that was outrageous for the hour it would take. But as I'd dealt with it for over a week and couldn't use the dishwasher either, things were stacking up. I let him continue and he did a good job, but never again. So I am warning others of committing before hearing the price. After talking with other plumbers, I could've gotten this job done at half their price. Carol Furman

I called a week ago to make an appointment. They said they would arrive between 8-11:00. At 9:00 they called and canceled. My husband and I made arrangements to be here and we currently can not use that bathroom. Very disappointing.

Hit or miss but definitely not """"affordable."""" Also, make sure you check their work after they leave or you might experience a large water leak like I did. If you charge a lot like this company does, they better consistently deliver and this company does not. Taking my business elsewhere

Had a back up in my drainage today after 5:00 pm. Affordable showed up first on my google search so I called. I have never needed a plumber at this house so I have never called them. I was told that since I had never been their customer I was not considered a """" VIP"""" and therefore not eligible for after hours service. I asked why their advert said 24 / 7 and was told """" we do offer 24 / 7 to our VIPs ."""" I have made a mental note to NEVER call them again. I called Hansen Services. They were here in 30 -45 mins and were done in another 30- 45. Reasonable rate , fast , friendly. I will never call Affordable again. Why cant I rate no stars?
