John M.Called these crooks to install a charger in my garage for my EV. They quoted me $5300. I told them that's the price you charge a moron. I kicked them out and didn't have them do any work. They tried to ask me for $250 for showing up to get a price. I told them to leave or I would call the police. They left and I had another company come and install the high voltage charger for my EV for $250. Action plumbing was trying to charge me 21 times the normal price. I find out today that the attorney general of Utah is suing them for all kinds of fraud. I hope they all rot in jail and go bankrupt. These scumbags use many different names to take advantage of consumers. Here is a list of all the other names they use. The complaint seeks action against Connectionz Acquisition LLC and Connectionz Funnel LLC dba Action Plumbling, Heating, Air & Electric and other names, including 24 Hour Rooter Connectionz Plumbing & Drain Cleaning; Action Electric; 24 HR Rooter Connectionz; Action Man Rooter; 24 Hour Rooterman; Connectionz Plumbing; Connectionz Plumbing Heating and Air; AAA-Action Rooter; and ReScope Drain Aid.
I've been fighting with them for over three months now. They insist that I pay them full price for their shoddy work. They created a very unsafe work environment and claim the job was done right and passed inspection. I still have a hole in my yard, I still have a belly in my sewer line and I have a copy of the city inspectors report showing that it did not pass inspection, but Action is saying they'll put a lien on my house if I don't pay. Very dishonest group, terrible workmanship and unethical sales practices. This is a disaster.
Today Anthony and Colby repaired my broken water line at my meter box. Large tree roots had grown not only causing pipe to break but also crushing the meter box. It was very time consuming to chop roots and install a new system leading to the box. They were efficient and thorough. After 2 hours it was repaired and I had water again. I was very impressed and would highly recommend Action Plumbing. And a huge thank you to Anthony and Colby for their professionalism, expertise and answering all my questions. Thank you !
Negative 1500 stars!!! Scam artist at their finest!!! Rips of older people. Showed up to snake a main line from house to city charged $650 to older couple who live well under poverty levels. Then didn't fix problem and wanted to jet the line for $1,200 and finally told them that pipe was busted and it would cost between $5,000 to 15,000 to fix. Needless to say we are looking for another opinion. RIDICULOUS people!! Use sales tactics rather than simple honesty and willingness to help people for a fair price. BIG FAT BOO on you people!!!
We want to rave about Brandon and the terrific experience we had with replacement of an old toilet. Brandon was prompt, knowledgeable, spent extra time to locate a replacement and also to try & get us on a payment plan. He was congenial, careful, very helpful. You have an excellent and skilled employee that should be appreciated hugely!
We have always had good luck with Action service people over the last 6 or so years so we commend you for the quality of your employees. It's crucial to have skilled service people, but wonderful to have pleasant ones like Brandon who are also attentive about taking care of the job and the customers!
Pay him whatever it takes to keep him on your staff!

Our furnace went out around Oct.15, during that really cold spell.
We had Action Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric come out. The owner is
Ben Jordan from Benjamin. They installed a new furnace on the 19th.
The furnace cost us $ 17,801.18. After they put the furnace in they
looked at our Electrical and said our wiring was not safe and our house could burn down.
They put a new breaker box and breakers, and ran a new main line. That set us back $12,869.00.
After that they told us they offer free Plumbing inspection. We were told our Plumbing had a
problem , and it needed to be taken care of right away. They said we needed a clean out for our septic. They argued with us for and hour. They ended up putting in clean out drains,
which set us back another $6,500. They broke our toilet doing the free inspection.
That was cost of over $200.00.Altogether, we are into Action Plumbing, Heating,
Air & Electric for $37,215.00.
I told a friend who told me we could have bought the Furnace and A/C ourselves for $5,400. Altogether They made around $12,401.18.
The Electrical material we could have bought for $1,500. Action Plumbing,
Heating, Air& Electric charged 12,869. They made $11,369.
The cost of the materials for the Clean out drains is $400. We could have had it done for $3,00. They charged $6,500.
They left a hole for over a week without filling it in. BLaine Hone Excavating was kind enough to come in and locate the septic tank and scrape off the dirt from the access panel. He called Lake Shore Pumping for us, and we had septic tank pumped the next day. We also had the hole filled in.
I had contractors give us bids: Furnace $11,00. , Electrical $2,500., Plumbing $3,00.00.
We called Action Heating & Plumbing to see if we could work something out. One of their guys
told us that their prices were fair. SO WE JUST WANT TO WARN OTHERS.
Diane O.BEWARE OF SCAM! Scheduled our annual Furnace Tune up. I had them do my A/C tune up this summer as well because they were running a special. My house is 7 yrs old and always did annual Tune Ups. This was my first time using Action. For the A/C tune up, they recommended some coils needed to replaced and I went ahead with it, which was approx $1300 which also included their annual ""membership."" Now with the Furnace Tune Up, the tech was probably in the Furnace room about 5-8 mins, tells us that the heating element was cracked because our CO2 levels was dangerously high and would have to by law shut off the gas, which he did. Said for liability purposes, based on his findings, if he didn't shut off the gas and ""something"" should happen. the company would be liable. He showed us the reading on his device to ""prove"" how high our CO2 levels were. Of course, we got scared. I have a CO2 monitor right outside our furnace room and he made up some excuse as to why they do or don't work sometimes. He proceeded to tell us we would need a whole new furnace. We have a Trane system and he said he would call Trane to see if we were still under warranty. He goes out to his truck and comes back in 1 min later to tell us he had talked to Trane, and of course, it wasn't registered and no warranty. By the way, this is on a Saturday. He gives us his spiel on a new furnace, the different types and prices. We're quoted $9800 and that included a $800 discount from Action. I then told him I would contact the Fire Dept to have them check our CO2 levels and got a couple more bids from other HVAC companies. He said he would he email me the bid in the meantime. The Fire Dept was closed that Monday because of a holiday. My husband even went to a Fire Station and was told we had to call the their Admin to schedule an appt. He also scheduled two other companies for Mon to get a second opinion. Both companies came out and said heating element was fine and no CO2 levels were detected and turned our gas back on. They commented how a tech would've ""red tagged"" the furnaced if it had to be shut down for safety purposes, which it wasn't. Wow, I'm glad we trusted our gut and got these 2nd opinions or we would've been out almost $10,000. Its sad that they use these scare tactics and people fall for it. We're middle aged, so it's not just the elderly they prey on. Shame on you Action! I was so angry, I called to talk to a manager, but of course, never received a call back. Oh yeah, I never received the email for the bid on the new furnace either. Scam Artist!
Jeff H.DO NOT HIRE ACTION PLUMBING!!!! This is a warning for anyone that is looking for plumbing work to be done. AVOID ACTION PLUMBING. They are the epitome of overpromise and underdeliver. I had the sewer line from my home to the city main dug up and replaced by Action. It started off great, they were very eager to get started and immediately showed up and dug. This is where things stopped goin according to plan. They were complete slobs. Dirt everywhere, cut through ,my sprinkler lines without turning off the water so that night the10 foot deep hole filled with water and caused massive erosion to the surrounding area. This water had to be pumped out before continuing, delaying the project. After that was resolved they would schedule a day to replace the line.. not show up, reschedule and repeat. Meanwhile a mountain of dirt is getting blown and washed around, creating havoc to the neighborhood gutters. It took nearly 6 weeks for them to actually get the line replaced and the hole filled. To access the sewer line, it was necessary to dig up a portion of my driveway. To complete the job, the last step was to replace the concrete, which they did. Not long after I notice that there is a 4"" void under the entire new slab. They obviously did not pack prep the ground properly and this will eventually collapse. I have spent the last TWO months attempting to get them to fix their shoddy work. I just had a phone call with their ""Customer Service Manager"" and to say she lacks the bare minimum of people skills is an understatement. It was perhaps the single worst experience with customer service I have ever had, which is saying something. So the process of getting this problem resolved continues.
The fact that I am actually writing a review for a company should tell you just how awful my experience was with Action Plumbing. I do not write reviews. I believe this is only thew second one ever and I have had some poor experiences with companies in the past. I just do not want anyone to have a similar experience, so I am trying to warn anyone from working with Action Plumbing. If you read this and ignore it, you do so at your own peril.
beware. these people target the elderly. they came out to my parents home for a heater tune up for winter. didn't do it just tried to stick them for 3k bill to fix a functioning, well kept furnace
then they had the audacity her electrical has issues and wanted to come back. I'm a electrician, you think I'd know.
Never use this company! We were out of town and needed a water heater for a rental property we own. They quoted us $4,200!! I told my husband to forget it, but since we had limited internet coverage, he agreed to $4,000 for a job that should have been half that amount. That is the first ridiculous thing. They started work on a Friday, and could not finish a 2 hour job by the end of the day. On Saturday they went back with the wrong sized water heater, and wanted us to pay to move gas lines so they could make it fit. They installed it against our wishes, and it extended into the hallway, with the drip pan being a safety hazard.
After 20 or more phone calls during the following days, and various stupid decisions on their part, they finally finished the work on the following Thursday, a whole week after they started. They did not refund us for the smaller water heater which is what they should have brought in the first place. They are a total rip-off.
