Action Jackson Drain Cleaning & Plumbing

I've used them a few times with success but after the last repair, I'm done. The job cost over a couple of thousand dollars, 50% more than their original estimate. I know that you can't always predict what you will find when working with pipes but Action Jackson would absolutely not budge on any price break, despite a previous visit just a week before. The workers are nice guys but I'm never using them again.

Action Jackson has gone downhill quite a bit since we dealt with them before my previous review. They are awful at scheduling appointments now and their prices have gone up.

First, a few months ago, we called to schedule an appointment and agreed to a date and time. Nobody showed up. We called during the appointment and were informed that nobody was working that day. I had taken off work to be there for them, so this was extremely inconvenient. They did not offer me any discount or anything for the inconvenience. Based on our past positive experience, we decided to reschedule and give them another chance. That time they showed up and did a good job again. Fine.

This week, both our neighbor and we needed a little work done. My neighbor had a hell of a time even getting them to call her back. When they finally did show up, they handled both jobs at the same time, well under an hour, but still charged us for two separate trips. And they charged more than last time, when the previous visit took significantly longer to resolve.

Sorry guys; you were good to us in the past but we are done with you now.

I was referred to Don from work, and boy how lucky we were. I loved that he is a family owned business, knows his stuff and provides affordable prices. We just bought our home so money is tight, but also needed to get the job done right from a reputable company. When we ran the washer, water would come back from the tub and toilet. Then, our toilet wouldn't drain. Don answered emails quickly, showed up bright and early, and got the drain job done in 15 mins. We found out we'd need to fix 2 pipes, as a break was causing dirt to come through. He thoroughly explained everything, with his camera and piping locator equipment. He was extremely honest, never pushy, very black and white with what we were dealing with and gave us options. Its amazing what referrals can do. We will be calling him from now on! :D

I had a clogged drain at my business and they came and unclogged it for over $400! Oh well! I asked about a maintenance program which they told me they do not have. Three months later they show up at my business and do something. I do not know what. I then get a bill for over $500! I guess it was for the program they do not have. Basically they can show up and charge more for drains that are not clogged. When I asked about the contract they said it was verbal. Right! I guess the contract was for over $2000 a year to work on drains that were fine. They kindly took one hundred off my bill! So now I only owe over $400 for NOTHING! I will pay as it is partially my fault f because my trusting staff did not throw them out as they should have! Scandalous! Be careful. I wonder if the 5 stars are their friends!

Just had the owner Anthony leave. He and his partner were polite, fast, efficient, and reasonably priced. They even showed up early! The scheduling coordinator was also wonderful and knowledgeable. We will be using them again! Love using a small business.

These guys are the best !! Courteous , great job , would recommend highly .Loved that he didn't have to pull the toilet . WAY better pricing than Mr Rooter , and he didn't try to ""upsell me like Mr Rooter

Great customer service fast and cleaned. I recommend them...I had my Sewer line scoped this weekend.. They explained the process and gave me a DVD for my records. 225.00 and I had a 50$ off coupon so 175.00 after that. .

I'm a union plumber myself and they did a great job.. I see a lot of complaining on here from people who probably don't even know how to use a pipe wrench. Let them do there job. They are good at it and deserve to be paid well for it.

FIRST; This is ridiculous - my ORIGINAL review was 6 months ago and YOU'RE NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN CONCERNED?????? Who cares if you have 1 or 2 ""bad"" ratings? I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO DOCUMENT MY CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. You, ""Don"" have NOT contacted me via private message unless you're really ""Nikki"" who has reached out to me. If you're going to ask someone to remove their review publically - be prepared that they are not going to respond lightly, especially bringing up something that happened over 6 months ago. I've moved on from this and I think you guys should too.

SECOND; Doesn't matter if you & Sewer Friendly are really good ""friends"" but two separate companies. If you guys keep referring business back & forth, it's still YOUR NAME that carries along with the WHOLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. I wouldn't have gone to Sewer Friendly if it wasn't for YOUR recommendation. If they would have asked, ""How did you hear about us?"" My (obvious) answer, ""Action Jackson sent me to you guys."" So let's say you were needing to see your Dr and they couldn't see you, but they referred you to go see a colleague of theirs and you had a bad experience - what is the likelihood of you coming back to that practice? There's always going to be a 50/50 chance. So if you had the chance to, you would like to document your experience and you have the right to.

THIRD; Yes, you assumed correct that I didn't climb up on my roof to see how many feet or inches he pushed the cable into the vent. I was watching his every move while standing outside in my backyard so when he only SPENT LESS THAN 3 MINS UP THERE seemed to be REALLY sketchy to me. You also missed the fact that he said he'll fix the corner of the pipe for $1,800 or replace the whole thing for $5,200 if paid in cash without a permit. I'm sure he is great at what he does - but I'm not down to do business that way. I'm sorry - if you keep representing them, and if they continue to ""work"" that way then eventually it will hurt your business as well.

FOURTH; Asking a YELP REVIEWER to remove their review based off of their EXPERIENCE they had with a company and/or companies isn't being vindictive. Your request(s) are completely out of desperation. If you guys actually take the time out and read what's been written and then try to hold yourselves & your partnered companies accountable then the NEXT TIME you will not put an established customer through another/similar situation. So instead you guys were begging AND pleading to have my ONE (now two) review(s) to be removed due to the ""irrelevance"" of which you guys claim? How you guys SHOULD HAVE held yourselves accountable first by; apologizing for recommending such a sh*tty company, reached out the dissatisfied customer, taken any & all information down and advised the customer that you will be reaching out to your 'great friends' at Sewer Friendly. All you guys have said or requested, was for me to take down my review and rightfully so, I have formed my 2nd opinion with ""working"" with you guys.

Lastly, The fact that you would call me vindictive when you don't even know me. I am speaking the truth and I'm vindictive? Wow! Glad that we got our plumbing situation fixed right after your precious Sewer Friendly left from guys who actually TOOK THE TIME TO EVALUATE THE SITUATION. Wished that I never called you guys first. So yeah - NEVER COMING BACK TO YOU GUYS EVER AGAIN. I accept your back-handed compliment after calling me vindictive and then ending with a happy holidays and best wishes for a new year.

Hope you guys leave whatever issues you had in 2014 and not carry into 2015. My only advice that I can give you guys is told by a dog: ""If you can't eat it or play with it, then pee on it and walk away.""
