Worse company ever! They cancelled my appointment twice! They wait until the last minute and then cancel you. Most likely for bigger or louder clients! Mis managed, understaffed and inexperienced and unprofessional workers with 'Family emergencies at the last minute. Complete shesshhh show!

You claim, on your website that you have hundreds of positive reviews with an overall rating of 4.8. How many of those FAKE reviews were written by your employees or by ppl paid to write positive content for you? EVERY review I saw had the standard """"sorry for your bad experience, please provide us more info or reach out to us directly.... Blah blah blah!!"""" A dissatisfied customer shouldn't have to continue to kiss your ass to get an issue resolved! Basic Customer Svc 101! You attempted to """"handle me"""" in the same way after reading my complaint to the Tampa Bay BBB website! Your reply was: """"we can't locate you in our database."""" You wouldn't find me in you """"database"""" as I am not the primary name on the account! My partner is, and he's TOO kind to tell you what assholes you are, I'm not so nice!!! We were with our AC/Heat SINCE Hurricane Helene, as our unit was fried because of flooding (a total of 30 days w/o AC!!!!!!) Save your """"sorry's"""" for someone who gives a ****! I'm tired of your """"lies and excuses!"""" FINALLY, our unit was """"fixed"""" yesterday AT NO CHARGE BECAUSE OF OUR PREMIUM WARRANTY BOUGHT AT THE TIME THE AC WAS PURCHASED!!! NOW, I am going to file a 'formal complaint' with the FLA Dept of Professional Business Regulations because YOU were unethical and unprofessional! I am a disabled Veteran and YOU made me live without AC for 30 days, because some idiot in your parts dept. couldn't seem to order the correct parts! Is this enough info for your database? KEEP IN MIND, THIS IS MY REVIEW, NOT THE CUSTOMER WHO IS NAMED IN YOUR DATABASE!! I'm done with your LIES and LAME EXCUSES. NO ONE should use your company EVER!!! After posting on YELP, Kim V OWNER OF AHPA had the AUDACITY to post this response: """"Thank you Wc for letting us know you were not satisfied. Even though you believe we are a bunch of clowns, we would love to have the opportunity to address and resolve your concerns in a positive manner. We are unable to locate your account with the limited amount of information you have provided, so if you would be kind enough to email us at customercare@acreeair.com, we will reach out to you at your convenience. We have been fortunate to serve this area since 1967 and we run over 15,000 service calls a year with customer satisfaction as our number one priority. (Are you shitting me, I read at least 20 1star review ratings on YELP - one specific saying: AVOID ACREE AT ALL COSTS!"""" STOP WITH THE LAME INSINCERE APOLOGIES SND GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!) Having said that, we certainly realize we are not perfect and whenever things do not go as planned, we try to go above and beyond to resolve things in a manner that leaves our client feeling completely satisfied with the actions we take to make things right. The goal is clients for the long term and the only way to achieve that is by focusing on truly satisfying one client at a time. We appreciate you giving us the chance to address your concern."""" read less

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! This company is absolutely horrible to work with. It was Hurricane Milton time, and my house had no power. But, my Mom was out of town and SHE had power, so we packed up the cats and moved over there. Five minutes after we arrived, the AC died. We called a million companies, but due to the lingering hurricane damage, only one was available (not this company). The fellow came out, told us he was going to try a hard reboot, but thought the board was toast. He also said """"Not sure why you have this particular unit, it's temperamental with strong weather"""". The reboot did not work, so we called Acree- the company that sold my Mom this joke of a unit two years ago and it was still under warranty. They came out first thing Friday morning and - surprise! THREE boards and the compressor are dead and they don't have the parts. Now, last time Mom had issues, I recall it took a VERY long time to get parts (weeks), and the only way she got things moving was to contact the parts manufacturer herself and told them she was a senior citizen in Florida who needed their help. Anyway, here we are again, waiting on parts. I stayed in that hot, hot, hot house (got up to at least 85 inside, the thermostat still worked) all weekend long. Fast forward to today- Thursday, nearly a week later. They didn't order the parts until the 14th , three and a half days after they came to look at it (MONDAY, probably after my husband started calling them twice a day). And it took them three entire days after THAT to tell us that the parts are on backorder and no idea when they will be available. So my elderly mother will be without AC in Florida for weeks? Maybe MONTHS! Absolute JACKALS. They sold her this janky AC unit to begin with and now they can't even maintain it. And yeah, they quoted $1800 cost repair on a unit under warranty once the parts DO come in. My husband called and asked to speak to the manager, and was told it could take 48 hours for them to call him back. Apparently they have no management or supervision because they take two days to talk to you for ten minutes. So, long story short- DO NOT buy an AC from these incompetent scam artists. Do not get your AC serviced by these incompetent scam artists. They will sell you a janky piece of crap that breaks for weeks and weeks multiple times in it's first two years of life and leave you hot, cranky and broke.

Purchased a new system 13 months ($14k). From the install I had problems. They have cancelled more appointments than they have showed up to. Paid for 10 years parts/labor/compressor but it takes 3 appointments to get them here. We are owned by 'Corporate' so no one is in charge to solve a complaint. Just provide the service I'm paying for....very, very disappointed...

Bought a new ac unit from them in June 2023- have had them out more times than I can count because the unit continually blows hot air when any storm/ wind occurs outside. The last time I called in because of this recurring issue I was told somebody would come out- an hour after the appointment the tech never showed, and naturally I called to check in and was informed """"someone will be reaching out and that nobody would be coming to our house to check out the unit""""- big surprise, nobody called and the issue is still not fixed. Currently sitting in a house with full functioning electricity during the hurricane and cannot turn ac unit on otherwise it blows hot air. Sitting at about 82 degrees. Save your money, save your time. I would never recommend, would love to understand how a company can operate like this. ALSO- checked with the city and they have no record of proper permitting for our ac installation.

We had our whole house repiped 2 years ago by Acree. Recently, we have had a pipe burst within our home, so naturally, we called Acree to get them to come check it out. However, upon getting in touch with them last Friday, we were told we were placed on their """"do not service"""" list. We asked why, and the person on the phone said """"I'm not sure there is no notes in your account and usually there is an attachment stating why, but there isn't anything here."""" So they reached out to their manager and we were told someone would call us over the weekend, and at the very latest Monday. Well, as you can see, no one reached out to us and instead we had to call them every day this week to try and get someone out here. Today we spoke with Chris, who was seemingly the rudest employee we've spoken to thus far, and it appears that they are still refusing to service us - even though there is nothing in our account explaining why, AND we have a 5 year warranty on the work that they've done. Meanwhile, an insurance claim has been filed, and my floors are soaked from a leak that we can't even tell where it is coming from...so fun...sounds to me like Acree isn't going to live up to their warranty, so we are considering legal action. Do NOT use this company!

Agree plumbing, air & electric was a huge mistake. I deeply regret using them. This is the first time I've used a yelp review but hopefully it will help some other poor sucker that may have the misfortune of calling them. They put in a new system that broke four times within the year. Then I was told I had black mold that required duct cleaning and a light to keep it from returning to the tune of more than 4 thousand dollars ( after the discount they were giving me. ) Once again I sit in the heavy heat and wait for my next bill for a problem that will happen again the minute their technician leaves the driveway. My house is 900 square feet. This is just ridiculous.

Had a brand new AC unit installed 2 years ago by Acree. In August the condenser already went bad on the new unit. Was without AC in Florida in August for 16 days while we waited for the part to come in. When the part finally came in, it took two days of tech visits to get the unit back up and running. On September 10th the condenser blew again. Now here we are again waiting on a new part. We are always promised a daily update on part delivery but no one ever calls to follow up. Same call everyday and same response from Acree...""""someone will call you with an update"""". I would give a less than 1 rating if I could

Please see the text of my email to them which was sent a few minutes ago. I had to redact a small, inconsequential portion of the first paragraph because of the character limits on these reviews. I hope this helps others make an informed decision. (Note: One star is the lowest possible rating) TO ACREE: Just a short time ago I contacted your company and advised that I was canceling my maintenance agreement with Acree effective immediately. I am following up with this email as a confirmation of the cancellation as I was told I would not receive an email confirmation from Acree. I feel that you are entitled to an explanation as to the reasons for my cancellation. I moved to Palm Harbor from the South Florida area 3 years ago this month and shortly thereafter I contracted with Acree to perform an inspection of my air-conditioning system. At that time I also signed up for a maintenance agreement with a monthly auto-billing charge to my credit card. During the past three years I have paid Acree over $35,000 for work done on my house in addition to the maintenance agreement. Acree has installed a 5-ton York air conditioning system to replace the one I had as well as a Daikin 2-ton mini split in the garage. I also had Acree replace my electrical panel. With a couple of exceptions, I have had absolutely no issues with any of your technicians and found them to be capable and customer service oriented. This past July 10th I called to schedule my six month AC inspection as well as my annual plumbing and electrical inspections as part of the maintenance agreement. I was shocked to find out that it would take over six weeks to get me on the schedule. Previously I never had an issue scheduling any of these services within a matter of days. After waiting almost 6 weeks for the appointment day to arrive, I was contacted by Acree to reschedule every one of these three services. The plumbing had to be rescheduled twice, the electrical rescheduled three times, and the air-conditioning was rescheduled four times. It wasn't until this past week that I was able to have those three services provided to me - practically a full two months after originally attempting to schedule them. Your contractual obligation to provide the AC service every 6 months and the other two every year were not fulfilled as I had to wait 8 months for the AC and 14 months for the others. I can only anticipate the same delays in the future so I would not be receiving these services timely. The banner on your trucks stating """"On Time, Every Time!"""" couldn't be further from the truth. I questioned what was happening at Acree as my recent experiences were so radically different than the previous 3 years. I came to discover that Acree had recently been bought out by a corporate entity and was no longer family owned and operated. Such a change doesn't necessarily result in a decline in the quality or timeliness of services provided but in this case it has. I went on the internet to check the recent reviews of your company to find a slew of very low ratings from dissatisfied customers. What originally drew me to Acree was your good reviews - something I check for in any companies or service providers I seek since I'm still relatively new to this area of the state. If today I were to seek the services you provide and read these reviews I would look for another company. It is a shame that Acree has dropped so precipitously in such a short period of time. I'm sure your employees cannot be happy as this decline affects all aspects of the company. You are probably hemorrhaging both customers and employees. Hopefully someone will bring my feedback to the new 'powers that be' at Acree and improvements can be made to save the company that had such a good reputation under the previous ownership. Otherwise, it will just be a matter of time before the company either has to downsize to a minor player locally in this industry or fails outright.

If negative stars were allowed, Acree Plumbing, Air & Electric would get negative 5 stars. I hired Acree Air to service my new HVAC systems in December of 2023 for my 1-year-old house. Acree removed part of the drainage lines on both HVACs, installing a new line which incorporated a removable cap, which allowed a hose to be attached to the line so the line could be flushed. Unfortunately, one of the two lines broke within six months. Acree charged me ~$400.00 to fix the drainage line that they installed just six months prior. Literally 4 days later, the same exact line broke. I called Acree to fix it, and their tech said he was not able to fix the line. I fought with Acree for six weeks. Finally, one of their managers spoke with me and said he would take the issue up with the other managers and owner. The same tech who incorrectly installed it the first time, came out to fix it. He was perturbed and a bit rude. In the end, the tech and Acree did fix the line (the one they installed three times now). Acree scheduled my bi-annual service (which I have already paid for) for early August. The day prior to this appointment, Acree called me to inform me they appointment was being cancelled because their tech was sick. Reluctantly I rescheduled for 3 weeks later. The receptionist told me the new appointment would have a DO NOT RESCHEDULE note next to it. Acree was a no show for today's appointment. I was told by Acree the tech went home sick. I informed her the appointment was supposed to have a DO NOT RESCHEDULE note next to it, which she verified it did. Then the receptionist informed me Acree had called me and left a voice message. I was home all day and had my phone next to me. There was no call, and certainly no message left on my voicemail. This was a flat out lie. I have had enough of the extremely poor customer service provided by Acree. I cancelled my contract (even though it was paid in full). Acree has failed on every level possible.
