This company is a rip off I called for my air conditioner to have it diagnosed charge me $79.00 July 2018 the supposed tech Ben B came 15 late and was very unfriendly and complained that he has to work at night he told me that the part will cost me $800.00 and it's a hardstart and run capacitor , ladies and gents they are available in Grainger cost $11.00 spp6 booter and $33.20 (2mef2) capacitor takes about 15 to fix if you are a rookie , so don't call this company they will rip you off

BEWARE; I called ACREE and informed them that I was having a problem with my air conditioner system, I was told that they would send a service person over to check it out and that there would be a $ 79.00 charge for this service, I was led to believe that this charge was for an all inclusive search of my system to find out what the problem was, well that was not to be, I was told that my system MAY have a leak and that it would cost me an additional $ 251.00 for an electronic leak search, so just what was that $ 79.00 charge for in the first place and why am I being charged extra for something that I was led to believe was included in that charge, then I was asked if I wanted my system filled with Freon for an additional charge of $ 357.00, well if my system may have a leak like I was told why would I want to pay all that money only to have the Freon leak out again, naturally I declined these extra services so now I'm out $ 79.00 and I still have no idea as to why my system doesn't work, it seems that ACREE was only interested in selling me more services at what seems to be inflated prices just to pad their bill, I don't know if this is standard practice in the air conditioner business misleading the public the way I was mislead but it's sad that you put your trust in a company only to have them try to rip you off, at this point I would NOT recommend ACREE for your home needs.

Riverview, FL. I had an appointment set 10 days in advance. Acree called me the day of the appointment and cancelled the appointment. They would not give me a reason other than they couldn't make it work that day. They wanted to reschedule, but if they choose not to honor their appointments I choose not to do business with the. Wasted time off at home. Very dissapointed. Went with Red Carpet Air instead.

I was a preferred customer for many years. My A/C went out over the weekend, called, got answering service .. they said a tech would call within 10 minutes. Three hours later I called again, explained to answering service.. she said she would text to someone and they will call within 10 minutes. No one ever called. Never again, cancelled my account. I called another company and the tech arrived in 1 hour. Acree deserves a terrible rating for treating preferred customers like they don't care. A phone call would have gone a long way.

BEWARE. They attempted to take advantage of my 71 year old step-mother, telling her it would cost $7,000 to replace the coils inside her air compressor unit. Here's the story: An Acree Air service tech named 'Bobby' arrived on June 19th in a company vehicle. After a quick check of the outside unit he told her that it would cost """"$2,800 to run dye through the system and add any freon."""" He then removed a framing piece, and after remarking about how dirty the unit was he said it would cost """"$7,000 to replace the coils."""" When my Stepmother asked if she'd hear him right, did he mean it would be $7,000 to replace the entire system? He said """"No, that was just for the coils."""" She declined to pay that much and told Bobby not to do anything. I suggested that she call and try to get her $69 service fee back, since she'd received no servicing, only the blatant attempt to swindle her. A manager first said that she's probably heard him wrong about the two high-priced quotes. Later he said that """"sometimes it could cost that much."""" But he ultimately said he'd refund the service charge. Still, it's likely not the first time that they'd attempted to take advantage of an elderly person. It has me wondering just how many vulnerable people they HAVE managed to exploit. Very sad. We am pursuing other avenues regarding this matter.

Scheduling issues. Service tech came a day early. Took three times before we actually had the service call. They need to address their scheduling issues. It must be part of the appt to upsale. The tech sure tried his best. Also the Tech should have removed his shoes tracked mud in our house.

CLEARLY UNDERSTAFFED WITH POOR TECHNICIANS. They put in an A/C in my house 18 months ago. They have since then come here on 3 different occasions to make fixes. They gave me 5 day response time to fix a wiring problem in my thermostatic which they have worked on twice before. AVOID!!!

I called and made an appointment for them to come out for a routine air conditioner check. I was told my appt was between 8 and 10. I actually missed a conference at 7 am that ended at 8 so that I would be home at 8:00. At 9 am, I called to see what the ETA was and was told that my appt was between 9 and 11 and that the technician was """"caught up in a big job"""" and wouldn't be at our house until closer to 11. This may be an ok company for those who have all day to sit at home and wait on them. However, for those of us who don't have too much time to waste, they are not reliable. I was offered another time to reschedule but declined. I don't know how long I have to wait on them next time.

Acree has come across as a very shady company. We had a new AC unit installed last year (way overpriced from what I found after the fact...by a few thousand dollars). The initial inspection of the install took place almost 6 months after the installation and it failed with 9 issues. The county inspector said this is fairly typical of larger companies because they are just trying to get sales and installs done as quickly as possible. Rescheduling the inspection after Acree sent someone out for repairs was a nightmare. Katherine (the person responsible for handling all of the permitting and inspections) was practically impossible to reach and would never follow through with communications. After speaking with the county, I found that Acree had taken so long that he permit had expired and they had to pay a fee for the failed inspection as well as a fee to reinstate the permit. We were finally able to get the county out to do the final inspection, but that was done without confirming the date with us and we were lucky to be home at the time they arrived. In the process of reviewing the issues of the expired permit with the county, I discovered that the units I had paid for were not the actual units that were permitted and not the actual units that were installed. Essentially, Acree sold me a larger system than they installed at the house. At this point, I am working to hopefully resolve that issue with the company, but I'm not holding my breath that I will be able to resolve it directly with them. I've also found in searching for other reviews that I am not the only person that experienced similar problems with pricing and failed inspections. Be very cautious if you decide to call Acree for your AC needs.

Just called for a service today between 8:20-8:30 am est. I was stopped abruptly by the customer service rep at Acree Air that they could not come out and service the A/C in my home because I rent it out (huh?). So long for using this company or referring them. The jingle is catchy but the company is not. Geez
