Had the maintenance contract with this company but it is a waste of money. A/C man came to my house just to make a list of repairs and tried to sell a new A/C unit. He did little or no A/C checks, he didn't not do any maintenance. The purpose of a maintenance contract is to maintain. fix something! just another sells gimmick! shame on you.

Back when we first got our AC unit installed, Acree was pretty decent. Fast forward 8 years later, and their timeliness and ability to keep scheduled maintenance appointments has gone downhill significantly. We had an appointment on 6/17, they called my husband a few hours ahead of time to let him know the appointment had been cancelled. Ok, fine. I called that same day and made an appointment for today, 6/27 and was told they'd be here between 1-3pm. 3:30 rolls around and I call the customer service line. I was told they were finishing up an appointment in Clearwater and should be on their way. It is now 5:30, and I just get a call saying they're on their way and it'll be about 30 minutes. No accountability...

I called them for a clogged toilet, they quoted me $675.00 to snake the drain, i said """"no"""" paid $79 service call fee. Then called another plumber who charged me $175 to remove the toilet and snake the drain. I wasted $79 calling Acree but wasn't ripped off for another $500

As other reviews noted, I would give 0 stars if possible. This company lies and only tries to get insane amounts of money out of hardworking people. Scheduled an AC tune up in January. Tech showed my husband and I some mold issues and suggests a UV light and an Acree monthly membership as a solution. This supposed $79 tune up ended up costing about $400. But, there was mold, so we figured, meh, maybe that's not that high. This June, scheduled another AC tune up. New tech shows up, and tells us that we need an AC component to be pressure washed for 800, but if we pay him cash, he'll do it for 500. He also tells us we need another (better) UV light to keep the mold at bay and some equipment to keep the AC machine running outside. Again, we believed this seeming expert. This new tune up was also only supposed to cost $79. Total cost was about $3,000. Tech also tried to tell us we need """"duct work"""" and scheduled it for two weeks out (charge for this would've been $2500). In talking this over with a friend, we realized how hard we had been scammed and canceled the duct work. Our friend connected us with a contractor who said that UV lights barely work and shouldn't cost anywhere near what they charged. Contractor also said he never checks ducts unless the AC is not working. Our AC is only five years old and is running fine. The Acree monthly membership is just another part of their scam to get to your house every six months and upsell you on stuff you don't need. I've read other reviews from customers who have similar experiences. I wish I had checked Yelp Reviews before calling Acree Air, but relied on Google Reviews (and somehow they have a better rating on there). I should've known they were liars because when you call, the hold jingle keeps repeating how """"honest"""" they are. Don't trust these companies that claim to be trustworthy. Before going along with a quote, get several other quotes.

I have used them in the past! I scheduled an annual checkup two weeks ago (earliest they had).it was scheduled between 3-5 pm. I took off work the afternoon in order to meet them at the house. At 12:30 I received a call that the technician would not be there. I was told to reschedule. I called and got a scheduling service in California. Yep ! You got it ! Best available was out 3 weeks! WTF!! I think you should not call them!

CLEARLY UNDERSTAFFED WITH POOR TECHNICIANS. They put in an A/C in my house 18 months ago. They have since then come here on 3 different occasions to make fixes. They gave me 5 day response time to fix a wiring problem in my thermostatic which they have worked on twice before. AVOID!!!

Not sure why I have to give this company any rating. This company is the worst company I have ever tried to do business with. They make appointments and never keep them. They will sell you services and take your money and never show for the appointment. I asked for a manager to call me when I was having issues and was told I would receive a call from Matt or John they where in a meeting. I waited 3 hours and no call. I called back and was told the mangers Matt and John were out helping technicians. I ended up filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I called several days later and found out the appointment was scheduled for the next day. The next day no show again. I waited 11 days and finally my wife received a call on her phone from Matt. He tried to give me a bunch of excuses. He asked me when the company could come and remove a UV light at my convenience. I let him schedule the appointment for the next day. The day of appointment my wife checked her voice mail and Acree left her a message to reschedule again. I called and told the company they had 15 minutes to remove the equipment installed. Amazingly I received a call that the technician was on the way. I just wanted a company that could live up to the expectation of setting appointments and showing up to perform the work as promised. I would warn anyone looking for an air conditioning company to stay as far away from Acree Air as possible. They do not seem to care about customers and make too many excuses for their failures.

I scheduled a tune-up appointment with Acree Air a week in advance only to get a call the night before to say they had to push my appointment back because my assigned tech had to go to a last minute appointment for a big client (i.e. more $$$ than my appointment). I rescheduled for another day. I requested the $55 tune up special but by the time the appointment was over the tech told me that I had over $2,000 worth of work that needed to be done. My AC system was less than 5 years old and running perfectly fine. After a quick Google search of everything he discussed I learned that I didn't need to have the items completed immediately but he really tried to pressure me into buying it during the appointment. He also pressured me alot to purchase their maintenance plan. The whole appointment was more about selling products and services to me than performing my tune-up. I wouldn't recommend Acree Air to anyone unless they are willing to pay for overpriced unnecessary parts and services.
