I have an older septic system that is completely underground. I wasn't even sure where it was located. All I knew was there was some water in my backyard and it smelled horrible. I contacted Acosta on a Thursday and they came first thing today, Monday. I contacted 2 other places and one didn't respond and the other said they don't dig/locate tanks. It took about an hour with digging and pumping and it was well under $500. I swore I was gonna have to use two different companies to get the job done and pay over $700, thankfully I found Acosta and Sons. Bernie was extremely nice and very informative. He gave my husband some recommendations regarding our current set up (which is not an ideal one) and a number to someone who specializes in that area. Bernie and his team made the whole ordeal so easy and for that I am so thankful. I highly recommend this company if you have any type of septic needs.

We very highly recommend Acosta Sewer Contractors, who came to our house in the Hollywood Hills within hours of my first contacting them.
We were experiencing major problems with our septic system, and I made several calls. Acosta was the only co. who were available the same day.

The contractor, Bernie, quickly determined that the seepage pit was blocked by roots. He is knowledgable, personable and honorable. He gave us a bid for the work that was almost $3,000 LESS than a previous septic company, who not only were obviously way overpriced, they did not correctly identify the problem, and instead tried to mislead us toward unnecessary ""cleaning"" of the tank walls and exploration of the line to the tank we had already had snaked and cleared by our plumber . The first company told us we needed to install risers and clean outs that Bernie quickly informed us were completely unnecessary.

Bernie's ""guys"" were able to come 36 hours later, which was an enormous relief. They arrived right on time, were very hard working, honest, diligent and caring, and accomplished a huge job in under 6 hours with skill and dexterity!

My husband, who is an architect, and I have complete confidence in Acosta. They are smart, reliable, honest and fair.

We had an ongoing problem for months with bad odor from the front lawn area where the septic system is located. I met a number of septic contractors including those with five star reviews. All they could do was just speculating on the possible causes of the odor and came up with costly and impractical solutions. One even told me that my septic system had failed and needs replacement over the phone. Unbelievable! Within 15 minutes after Bernie and his crew arrived, he offered a cost effective solution that made sense.

Bernie and his crew also pumped out everything from the tank and seepage pit. I had the those pumped only several months ago by another service and it baffled me why it got full again so fast. I found out the previous guy had lied to me and never told me that my seepage pit was still full when he left. Likely that's because either he was in a rush or the tank in his truck had other loads to start with and there was no room to pump more. The services offered by Bernie differs day and night from the previous guy. Bernie and his crew really took their time with the pumping. They meticulously emptied the entire septic tank and seepage pit. Bernie took extra measure to properly seal the lid. They also did a treatment to help to clear up the drain field.

Septic system is a very specialized business. I could not be happier when Bernie and his crew left. Most of all, their charge was extremely reasonable and they completed everything to my 200% satisfaction. Bernie is honest, patient and knowledgeable. He is the only one who offered a cost efficient solution that saved me thousands! He will be my guy going forward on any further septic issues.

What can i say, i was beyond happy with the ending result. The pipe leading from the septic tank to my home busted and water was spewing from my lawn. Acosta and sons came right out and gave me a good discount he went as far as digging under my bushes so he wouldent disturb my plants i was amazed how he put all my lawn back like nothing ever happened.
