Ed and Deborah did a great job and I had a good experience working with them both. We needed two new laterals for two apartment buildings (a huge job). Their pricing was reasonable, their work was solid, their men were professional and responsible, and their scheduling was dependable. I had a lot of questions about what was being done and I needed to explain to others what was being done and why. Ed might be impatient sometimes but I know it's because he's juggling his employees, other clients, and troublesome outsiders, all while trying to answer my questions so I can understand what is going on from afar. I really appreciated his efforts -- thank you, Ed! Deborah was patient and responsive with my emails requesting various paperwork and needing administrative questions answered. I would not hesitate to recommend Acme Plumbing to anyone on the Monterey Peninsula for large commercial plumbing jobs or small residential plumbing jobs. Acme is honest, experienced, competent, punctual, accurate, and have the communication skills needed. Great job, you two!

Acme plumbing did a good job fixing a broken part in our toilet tank. But when we called about clogging later on, the work became on the job training day. He was always calling his supervisor to ask what to do next. They don't do sewage line drains either.

I requested a quote for the replacement of a 50 gallon hot water heater. ACME Plumbing was fast, responsive, and far less expensive than the Home Depot based alternatives. I was pleased with the communication, quality and price for the work done. Replacement took less than 1 day to complete!

The contractors/employees did a good job working. This was the second time I requested them but unfortunately the last. Work was good but the owner was very shady this time around.

He informed me it was 102 an hour plus parts and taxes.

My bill supposed to have been 372.00 for 3 hours of labor and parts/taxes.

He tried to charge me 678.00. He was charging me 202 a hour and told me it was due to two guys he sent.

Now, if I knew this was his rules in general I may have checked elsewhere.

He said 102 a hour not per hour per plumber.

When I was discussing this with him over the phone he tried to intimidate me and threaten me with a lawsuit if I wasn't to pay.

I expressed to him that I will pay the correct amount of 372 but not this extra stuff you tried to sneak in. He then tried to negotiate and throwing all these numbers at me and I told him that that won't cut it. I'll pay the agreement you told me. He then said, ""I guess I'll sue you"" and hung up.

He then called the contractors and they discussed stuff and said that 372 was good. (Now waiting game and hoping he doesn't try and charge me more than I agreed and signed for.)

Again, ratings is due to the owner/boss NOT the workers. The workers did a great job and was very nice and professional.

I called today and spoke with Ed, he was very nice and said he could be at my home in a few hours. We had a clogged toilet and nothing we tried was working. Ed called me right back and let me know one of his guys just finished a job and would be arriving within an hour! My husband greeted the guy so I didnt get his name but I heard them chatting and having a laugh downstairs. GREAT & EFFICIENT SERVICE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ACME, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I've used Ed's company on occasion. He was there recently when I needed him most with a break in my main line to the house. He had his team out pronto and fixed the problem in a jiffy. I am very grateful for Ed's involvement in two of my properties and I will continue to seek his services for all my plumbing needs. Ed is not only excellent at what he does but he is also very knowledgable regarding the codes and requirements within Monterey County (and likely beyond).
