I've used Ed's company on occasion. He was there recently when I needed him most with a break in my main line to the house. He had his team out pronto and fixed the problem in a jiffy. I am very grateful for Ed's involvement in two of my properties and I will continue to seek his services for all my plumbing needs. Ed is not only excellent at what he does but he is also very knowledgable regarding the codes and requirements within Monterey County (and likely beyond). Like other reviewers of Acme Plumbing, I want to say how extraordinarily good they are! The boss, and owner -- Ed Mendoza -- is an excellent guy and great human being, always immediately responsive, positive and helpful, really knows his stuff. His team of guys is skilled, communicative and hard-working -- they arrive on time, they diagnose the problem and they get the job done! I want to mention Anthony and Rob particularly, who came to my house today and fixed an issue with my lateral sewage line. They got it all handled so professionally and enthusiastically, no messing about! This is the second time Ed and Acme have helped me out in recent years, and I will certainly return to them again and again if I have any kind of plumbing problem in the future. The hot water pipe to my washing machine leaked. A rooter company came to fix the leak, and also replaced the pressure valve. Soon after the rooter fellow left, the pipe to the pressure valve leaked and so did the fix to the original leak. Now I got me two leaks. I called them back, and was offered a new fix for another $1,200 but advised to repipe my whole house for some $,8000. Instead, I called ACME Plumbing. Owner Ed sent Anthony B., who quickly assessed the problem. Anthony reentered my house with the parts and tools he needed, then cut out the rooter company's leaky fix. Anthony was never distracted by cell phone, worked non-stop, double-checked his welds, ascertained no leaks. He even replaced the insulation on the pipes--nice touch. Next, he sequentially loosened and tightened joints to the pressure valve outside. Both leaks fixed! Wow. In contrast to the rooter company's work, Anthony's approach and method were thoughtful and thorough. Thank you, Anthony. Money's worth received. And thank you, ACME Plumbing.

After fighting with my insurance company, HomeServe, and 5 different plumbers over 4-5 months, the underlying problem never got fixed. Every one of the plumbers the insurance company sent out misdiagnosed the problem. They finally sent out Acme THANK GOODNESS! Anthony was a rock star! He would not give up until he diagnosed the problem correctly and then fixed it. And, he came at 7:30 at night. He truly is a professional that cares about doing a good job. He was persistent and clean. He DID NOT bring mud into my house. I highly recommend Acme, there is NO JOB they can't figure out!!!!

Cant say enough about the ACME plumbing team, got a call back within 15mins, advised water leak from a broken valve water line to washing machine, requested to replace both handles...Nick came within the hour, quick, clean, no leaks, small job but had to get it done fast,

Acme is a mixed bag. They have helped us out of emergency situations in short order, but when it comes to more finesse work, we get left out in the cold.

Communication is poor. We've had them change the schedule with no notice, only to find out they weren't coming by that day after all, and we missed work for nothing, MULTIPLE times.

Craftsmanship is ok. Again, if it's an emergency fix, Acme is there for you. But they actually broke our shower spout (and misaligned the handle) in repairing a leak in a different part of the house. I understand if they can't patch the walls (that's a drywaller's job), but we're still waiting for our shower handle and valve repair weeks later. I believe they have forgotten about us. :(

Professionalism is poor. Is leaving a mud trail through your home necessary? After NOT repairing the problem, the mud is adding insult to injury.

You can certainly do better. I'm sure that if we were friends or family we'd get a better quality service. Sadly, we're just us.

My husband and I had a plumbing emergency (will spare you the details!) and the guys at Acme responded immediately. They arrived within an hour of our call and quickly got to work. They were friendly, efficient and most knowledgeable. We were very surprised not to be charged an ""emergency"" price for the repair. We would not hesitate to recommend them in the future. Great guys, great work and exceptionally fair prices.
