$650.00 to fix a leaking toilet. Look elsewhere if you need a plumber. This business is a total ripoff. Do not call them, and definitely do not let them into your house.

We are EXTREMELY unhappy with the service and workmanship we received from ABC Southwest Plumbing & Air Conditioning. On August 19, 2024, ABC came out and installed an entirely new AC System costing over $14,000. The plaster from the UV Light Module and A/C Unit keeps dripping on our epoxy garage floor. On August 22, 2024, ABC came out to look at the original installation of the unit. The technician """"Hans"""" applied more plaster between the UV Light Module and A/C Unit to stop the leaking. On September 5, 2024 (9:45 AM), I called ABC Customer Service and spoke to """"Sam"""". I asked her if ABC filed a permit for the AC Replacement and if so, when will the Sarasota County inspector come for the inspection. Sam informed me that they never filed for a permit and that they would be filing it that day. To my knowledge it still has not been filed by ABC SW Plumbing & A/C and they will not provide me with any documentation that indicates that it was filed with Sarasota County. I also mentioned to """"Sam"""" that as part of the installation, the service technician connected the A/C Unit to the UV Light Unit and that it is still leaking plaster on our garage floor. We requested that a technician, other than """"Hans"""", come out again to fix the dripping. The week of September 2, 2024, my husband called ABC and made an appointment to have them install a Drain Pan to prevent the dripping from the A/C Unit. The Appointment was set for Tuesday September 10, 2024. On Tuesday, September 10, 2024 (10:00 AM), my husband called ABC and confirmed that they would be coming in the Afternoon to install the drain pan. The Dispatcher (He) said we were on the schedule for the afternoon between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. On September 10, 2024 (4::06 PM), my husband called ABC and spoke to """"Jan"""". She checked and said that we were scheduled for Wednesday, not Tuesday. He told Jan that Wednesday would not work as we were not available. She said they could come out Thursday Morning (which also does not work). My husband asked Jan why the mix up, especially when the dispatcher confirmed the appointment for Tuesday, and she said she did not know, and that they were supposed to stop by and pick up the paperwork that they needed to provide us from the A/C purchase and installation. My husband called ABC back on Tuesday, September 10th at 4:16 PM and told Jan that we needed them to come out today. She put my husband on hold and came back and said that they could not come out today because they needed a Part for the Job and that the warehouse was closed for the day. My husband expressed his frustration with the whole installation and told her he did not appreciate being lied to. He asked her to have ABC come out and install the drain pan on Saturday 9/14 in the afternoon. My advice for anyone thinking of calling ABC Southwest Plumbing & Air Conditioning to find another company. ABC is dishonest and blatantly lies to their customers. As Jan mentioned they did not have a part for the drain pan installation. If they did not have a part why would a service call even be scheduled. ABC also lied about not filing the proper permit with the County for the new units, which were very costly. I would NEVER recommend ABC Southwest Plumbing & Air Conditioning to anyone for needing service.

Do not use this company! Taking advantage of the weak and disadvantaged for your own monetary gain is one of the most despicable and sickening things imaginable. ABC Plumbing did just that when they charged my elderly father over nine hundred dollars to replace a standard kitchen faucet and repair a leak at the shutoff valve. I called their office to give them a chance to correct this ruthless act of overcharging my 81 year old father. They said if you were concerned about your father being taken advantage off you should have been present when he was given the quote. Seriously?!

just not good - guy didn't know much. saw water and my trap and said I had an underground leak. I said water is supposed to be in the trap. He then said yea, everything looks good. probably a clog past the trap. then told me it would $600 to snake a 10 foot section of the pipe. I said no thanks...$47 dollars, 10 min, no real answers. terrible company

I had ABC install a fiberglass shower stall in my home. 2 gentlemen arrived and after assessing the work to be done provided a quote of $2700. The work took longer than expected but it was completed. Unfortunately they had to come back because they failed to secure the valve to turn the water on and off. Another technician arrived and performed the work but had to cut out around the shower to access the valve. The job got done but they left me with drywall to repair and replace. They made no effort to properly repair and replace drywall. I understand that it's not their profession but they should have called someone to repair the mistake the created. Lastly we had a methane smell coming from the bathroom so we contacted our friendly neighborhood plumbers ABC. They came out twice to detect the smell but could not. They even utilized a camera to view the plumbing and could find nothing. The smell continued so I contacted Bullseyes Home Services and within 5 minutes discovered the issue: no P trap. Remember when the 2 gentlemen installed the shower insert. They neglected to reconnect the P trap that was there. Bullseye came back later that day and performed the work but I was charged $1500. We called our friends back at ABC Southwest and at first they did not believe us. Next they became belligerent and sarcastic. The CSR would not let my wife speak or when he did cut her off and was very condescending. She got fed up and fired a few words back to them. I called the next day and spoke with Renee. I explained the situation and he said they would get back to me. As promised Renee got back to me but essentially tole me that we were out of luck. They doubted that there was a issue and if we did have an issue why didn't I call them back. I explained to Renee that they had been called on multiple occasions and they could not find anything. So why would I call them back to fix a problem that their technicians could not find? I asked Renee if they were going to reimburse me for the cost of Bullseye doing their work and was told no. I understand their stance but please do not say it was not their issue. I am not a type of person to hold a grudge, live and let live. However, in this case I want others to know the poor workmanship and lack of integrity ABC has demonstrated.

BEWARE This company came to my house and gave me a quote for around $400 to fix my clogged drain. They gave me a 30 day guarantee- they broke the snake off in my drain., Then they charge me $1680 THE NEXT DAY to come and fix the drain that they broke a snake off in my drain and they had to cut a hole in my wall!

I really wish I had read the Yelp reviews on ABC Southwest before I requested the company send a gas line tech to come to our home and charge a $49.00 service fee to inform us, he could not connect the gas line to our newly delivered gas grill. The customer service is totally rude and inappropriate. This company does not rate a single star, but there is no lower rating on this review. Larry

I called this company because of a stopped up kitchen sink drain. The plumber cleared the drain in 15 minutes and charged $403. This is excessive and outrageous. Beware!

Never again ABC SW Plumbing & Air I had a new toilet installed some weeks ago. This went very well. I scheduled a follow-up service. They said the tech would call me. I ran some errands close to my home. Timeframe passed, and no one was there. Called them, and they stated he had called but I checked - no missed calls. Yesterday's appointment: Had a time frame between 9-12. Received a text at 8.15 a.m. that the tech is on his way. Called ABC at about 12.20 p.m. for an update. Was told he had an emergency but service would happen the same day. Called them again at about 2.10 p.m. about a time frame. Very unfriendly answering service, once they hung up on me. After 3 more calls, I was told that I would receive a call from the tech. Called at 2.45 p.m. I was told the tech got my message and would call me. At about 3.30 p.m I had given up and I ran some errands close by. Being back at 4.30 p.m. the tech showed up with no call-up front. I assumed that happened the other week too. I guess it only happens when there is money to make and it is no warranty call. COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY TO GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!

We inherited ABC Air Conditioning & Heating from the previous owners when we purchased our home in the Verandah in November of 2020. They would always forget to bring the correct size filters during maintenances and end up at Aces Hardware store purchasing them. And last week -- our heating system just stopped working after they just serviced our home in late 2021. After four attempts and two crews-- they would just temporarily """"fix"""" our system. We paid over $700 dollars and yesterday they informed us to find another company and they'd reimburse us. We did so and the new company fixed the issue in a matter of hours and informed us that they didn't connect a part that eventually could've caused water damage in our attic. We've never encountered a company wish such a lack of empathy and the rudeness of their customer service is appalling. Do not ever hiring ABC Cooling and Heating. You will regret it.
