There is something to be said about regular battery maintenance. The tech came ( he's furnace not boiler ), said I'd probably need another appointment to diagnose the issue.
But before he packed up , he attempted to jump start the boiler. Voile' the boiler came on.
I called my son on the second floor to check the thermostat. Make sure it's set on heat.
"" K, mom, the setting is on heat, the screen says low!!""
There is only the law that keeps one from committing murder.
Boiler was fine, batteries needed in thermostat.
Next year we will be in Texas. Thank goodness.

Had a appointment set up for 10:30am. At 3:30pm they called me to say that they had more important clients pop up and that they could not come for another 2 day. Proceeded to ask me for more details on the job and now said that they probable cant even handle the issue that I have. Well they could have said something about it when i made the appointment.
Had someone come to my house to get an estimate to replace a water pipe 1 hour of work was quoted 2100.00 got a second opinion and got it done for 200.00 total robbery would never ever refer them
Don't use this company! They are extremely overpriced. My insurance adjuster couldn't believe how expensive they were. He claimed they're almost 3 times more than other plumbing companies that are just as qualified.
Do yourself a favor and get one or two more quotes before you decide on who you're going to use. Better to be safe than sorry!

Francisco A.About a month ago I was taking the youth that I work with home from the park, after a softball game. You see I am a mentor/coach and every year I take youth that live in high risk areas to and from the park to play softball in a restorative justice league. On this particular day it was late in the evening, and I was transporting the kids in the church van. Parents were expecting their kids home. Unfortunately, a worker from this company was illegally parked and blocking the intersection. He refused to move his illegally parked van and began to use profanities at me, while the kids waited in the van. I politely asked him to move his illegally parked van. My request was ignored for about 15 minutes, until I had no other option but to call the police. Once he saw that I called the police he eventually moved the van. The reason I am writing this is because of the frightening nature and vulgarity of this worker.

On the hottest day and week of the year my air conditioning went out, I was out of town when my wife called me. I contact this company who's technician Mike came out to my home and after checking the system told me that the blower motor assembly needed to be replaced at a cost of $1500 and to think about purchasing a new unit which is close $3000. After checking I found that the most anyone was paying for this repair was $800. This is when I looked at the part they wanted to replace and found that it only cost around $300, I then contacted another company who came out to my home the next day and within 12 minutes determined that I had NO problems at all with my blower motor and had it up and working immediately! This other company also replaced a capacitor which I have replaced a handful over the years. Total cost of my repair $225.00. NOT the $1500 or $3000 I would of spent if I didn't have the other company come out to repair it. I have all this in writing and also having the other company tech tell me this absolutely should not of happened. I was out of town and this company took full advantage of not only my air conditioning being down but that it happened on the hottest day and week of the year and I was out of town. This company didn't want to pay me the $225.00 that it took to repair my unit but they were more than willing to take the $1500 or $3000 I would of paid them to get my system up and working when it was 100% totally unnecessary. This companies deceptive practices is something I wanted to make sure the Angies list community was aware of as I have all the paperwork to prove and confirm everything I'm writing. The company did offer to give me back the $99 they charged me to have their skilled 12 year veteran technician come to my home and tell me I needed to spend $1500 - $3000 to get my system up and running that again was totally unnecessary. All I can tell you is the truth and my experience dealing with this company. When I did receive a call from them they of course were believing their technician and the manager telling me that there must of been something else written on the bill that it could be something else and when I confirmed it with him that his 12 year veteran absolutely wrote nothing else he had no answer for that one and when I told the person who contacted me that I was going to make sure the Everyone was going to be aware of this incident they basically said go ahead and write it and this is why I'm making sure that everyone knows the deceptive practices of this company.
I called ABC on Friday, they said they could come out on Saturday, Saturday rolls around, they called 2 hrs before the appointment to reschedule. The next day I called and they agreed to show up on Monday @4pm. I was told I would be called to confirm the appointment. At exactly 4pm I received a call needing to again reschedule. I told the lady absolutely not! I wanted an estimate to replace both our furnace and central air. Their loss, I will have new units installed in my home within the next two weeks. It will not be done by ABC. FWIW I am leaning towards either SEARS or Four Seasons. Both of those companies showed up for their appointments. I have 3 more companies coming out tomorrow. I will have a decision on who I am going with by tomorrow evening. Message me if you want to know who I decided to go with. Don't bother calling ABC, they don't need your business, they are too busy to take your money.
#Had ac go out yesterday, called abc, nice young man came out , diagnosed ac fan not working , needs capacitor replaced, gave me estimate of $298.00, when finished it was $398.00 + $99.00 service call, work was done in 30 min, I have check part price on line and it is only $30.00, what a rip off, never will I use them again.

My complaint is with scheduling. I had made an appointment for 8-9 AM. They called the night before to confirm. The next morning 9:30 comes around and no one is here. I call to find out.She says she'll check and call me back. It took 30 minutes for her to call me back. Then she tells me there was a ""computer glitch"" and the tech was sent somewhere else first. Wow. So whats with the confirming phone call? And why did it take a half hour to find this out? Tech did not come til 11. Other tasks we had planned for the morning had to be postponed as we sat around waiting. Tech was good, friendly, explained the process etc. But I am frustrated with the whole thing.
Restaurant Vigilant E.I called ABC on a Friday when my AC went out...they stated that they would have a technician call me that day. I called them on Saturday when I hadn't heard anything - they apologized and said they would have they technician call me ASAP...today is Wednesday and I still have not heard anything - that is 6 days without a call back. I totally get the fact that they are super busy...but you can't call me back within 6 days? It is the first and last time I will ever consider using ABC...
