This place charges a fortune for services that can be easily self performed. I was charged $425 to replace the components inside of the toilet tank. Would have been helpful if the plumber let me know that this service can be easily self performed for under $50 (in less than 1 hour). Do your own research before calling this company.

For both electrical work & plumbing, I scheduled Abacus to come out and assess. The two experiences were weirdly similar. I asked them a specific question (changing out a bad outlet for example) and then they focused their attention to other parts of the house. The estimates for jobs that should cost hundreds of dollars ended up being more than $4000 each & included multiple things I did not need.

The installation team Pedro, Pete, and Shareef were excellent (5 Star), Very professional, knowledgeable, on time, and tidy.
The sales technician Cameron was very persistent and pushy even though I agreed to use Abacus. He called me 5pm while driving home and expected me review/sign the contract. The next morning he called several while I was in a work meeting. I understand his need to sell, but the now or never attitude was very pushy. He also tried to upsale me 4K on items that weren't needed.
Finance and administrative personnel were all kind and helpful on the phone

I had a broken rear yard faucet, got a Friday appointment between 2-6pm the next day.
OK cool. Got a text the next day saying they won't be coming. Called the office, they said they could have someone there AFTER HOURS for an additional $150, or I could wait until Monday. Not cool, I needed someone here or I would go else where. They sent Omid over and he was there in an hour. Saw the job and said he didn't have the proper tools for a plumbing job and left. ??? They sent over Isaac, he arrived around 5:30 PM. Good plumber, we talked for a bit on what I needed, he was there and the price came up... $825!! Go ahead, signed for the work. Isaac cut a small panel from the siding found a solder joint on the Copper 90° elbow was not soldered correctly and failed after 36 years (age of house). He proceeded with the work and finished within 45 minutes. The job was done well, still the price was high.
I should of done the job myself, I had all the tools.
I'll give them 3 stars, because Isaac did good work. Still $825, Wow. Even with a $50 coupon.

Very poor service in all aspects. I'm a member of their service group. I called for backend up sewer line and was told no one was avaliable till Monday. They advertise 24-hour services. I've had problems with scheduled work from Abacus and they haven't shown up and haven't called. I usually don't do reviews but the exceptionally poor service promoted me for this one.

Not impressed with this company. Every time this company was scheduled to come fix my broke. Pipe they were late. Each time I'm told a time frame and they arrive 2-3 hours AFTER the time frame. For two nights in a row (because they were late to their original time) I have had men in my home past 10pm on weeknights. I have a son who needs to shower and prepare for school. Their dispatch department is rude and unhelpful. When I called to see the estimated time of arrive I was told "you're in the schedule, they will get there when they can." After spending upwards of 5k you would think a courtesy call when come into play. The technicians on the second day said things like "sorry this is taking so long, we're looking for parts." They felt unprepared and the dispatch was completely unprofessional. No plastic barriers were placed. There's dirt and crap everywhere!
I would've given 1 star but the job was completed and my tech Issac on the first day was great.
2/10 would not recommend this company.

Called to schedule a maintenance on my sewer line cause of giant tree in drain path. I wanted to be pro active to eliminate a future problem with roots in drain line. They said they don't do that type of service, only if there's a blockage in the line they will service. Company only seem to want to make charge up money and not really help you. Dang shame.

Today I had the unfortunate experience of waiting 6+ hours for a NO SHOW from Abacus Plumbing. On Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, I made an appointment for Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021 with a window of 9:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. to have my faucet fixed. At 3:00 p.m. a text arrived from someone named Robert saying "Unfortunately we had an unexpected number of calls that came in today, we will not be able to make it to your appt." At that point I called the Abacus Plumbing office in Austin, TX. My communication with the receptionist who answered the phone was difficult, with the receptionist trying to talk over me. Eventually, the receptionist agreed that what happened was problematic. I said that I wanted to talk to the manager "Mr. Tim". Without coming back to the phone to tell me whether Mr. Tim could talk to me, the receptionist sent me to a Voice Mail, that might have belonged to Robert, whoever he was?,,, or to Mr. Tim?,,,. I called back and said that I wanted to talk to the manager and not a voice mail. This time I was connected to Mr. Tim. I told him that I thought it was terrible to keep me waiting 3/4ths of the day, then have an unknown person TEXT and say no one was coming. This is not how you manage a business. And I was subjected to their irritating phone advertisement (as well as, previously, their television advertisement) that says "You Can Count on Us". Folks, don't believe it! BTW, they probably lost a different lucrative job with me because of their atrocious customer service.

Rudy did such an excellent job on my heating/a/c system. A small company came out 3 times last month and still didn't fix everything! Rudy found the problem, had to go get the part and completed all the work the same day! He was very friendly, professional and thorough. I greatly appreciate that he valued my time to make sure everything worked well before he left! Thank you again, Ruday!

They quoted $49 for service charge but that was actually just to show up at the door, then $119 just to say everything looks fine. I spent $179 for nothing and my ac still blows hot air.
