Contacted throught home advisor

Took a day off from work to meet with this company for an estimate and they did not show up. Worse they made zerio effort to contact me to let me know that they would not be coming.

When I called them back, they said they could not do the work they had implied they can do on the homeadvisor.com site. Why list it then? Why not call back?

AAP came out the very next morning after I submitted the refrigerant leak repair request on my HVAC system on Sunday. They were friendly, professional, very thorough and completed the job that same day. Gave us our free quote on Friday.
Showed up early (better, than on time) on Saturday morning. Stayed and worked until the job was done. Ten plus hours. There was a lot that needed to be done and had been put off.

Both Tim and Joe were professional and hard working. They didn't seem to mind all of the questions we had. They explained everything when they were done and made sure that we understood.

I've had AAP do repairs before in the past and have always felt that their pricing while a bit high was justified by their expertise. Until yesterday. I had them come out to fix a few leaky valves. I asked about their hourly rate and was told they price by the job. I had the work done knowing that they were a bit high but they were already there. They checked the pressure relief valve and found it to be defective and would not warranty the work inside due to that. It's when I asked about the cost of the PRV repair that has prompted me to write this review. I was given a price of $995 and when I asked why so much was shown a replacement part cost of $668. When I googled the part on my own, I found it for $230, was asked if is it lead free like their part, and it was. Then they lowered their repair price to $530. All credibility with this company is now lost, and I will find another plumber for my future projects. Make sure you double check part pricing on your own before trusting their cost.

UPDATE: 5/13/15 12:44PMI received a call from the owner within 10 minutes of the review, who apologized for the misunderstanding, offered to do the repair for the cost of the part today, as well as threw in an additional repair of a hose spigot at no cost. This is customer service at its finest. They just left and I'm again a happy AAP costumer.

Did a great job, they came out figure the problem with the drain system. Gave us an estimate and schedule the work quickly and worked it into our schedule. They got the parts, put the new flapper value in, nice and neat, all cleaned up, no left over mess. For the hot water problem, Tim proposed a better solution than we had been told and got the parts and install them and working great. It was actual a less costly solution also. I like the fact they followed up and did what they said and there were not a lot of changes or delays or up charges. They are my plumbers for the future. Thanks

AAP did a major water main repair at my condo complex this weekend and provided stellar service.

The plumber assigned to our job, Darren, was prompt, articulate and highly skilled. He came out on a Saturday afternoon after another plumber failed to help us, coordinated with a leak detection service on our behalf and then showed up again bright and early on Sunday to start work so that multiple tenants could have their water service restored as quickly as possible.

The job required removing shrubs, trenching, cutting 9"" concrete and working around other plumbing/electrical/natural gas. It took a full day but it was done right and easily could have taken another day had we worked with a less-skilled plumber.

The best part - the price was great! I can't believe we paid as much as we did for the amount of work and time that went into this project.
