Raised on a farm, Josh Aakre developed a passion for hands-on projects, leading him to a career in construction with a top home remodeling firm in the Twin Cities after two years of professional football. As the need for his handyman skills surged beyond part-time availability, he embraced full-time work in 2019, giving rise to Aakre Home Services.

Aakre Home Services delivers handyman and home remodeling expertise in the Twin Cities, handling both daily concerns and significant remodeling endeavors. Josh's love for projects and construction began in his childhood on a farm in western Minnesota. With a license as a General Contractor and insurance, Josh has more than five years of experience in the field, serving as a handyman, carpenter, and installer for a top construction company in the Twin Cities prior to founding Aakre Home Services.

With his farm roots, Josh infuses his hardworking attitude into every project he undertakes for clients. A true jack of all trades, he thrives on addressing challenges and exploring new projects for his clients. With a dedication to converting houses into homes, Josh handles every project with meticulous attention and quality. Outside of serving clients, Josh loves spending time with his wife, son, and golden retrievers around the White Bear Lake community.
