Growing up on a farm, Josh Aakre cultivated a love for hands-on work, which guided him into a construction career with a leading remodeling company in the Twin Cities following two years of playing professional football. When he noticed the demand for his handyman services was outpacing his part-time efforts, he transitioned to full-time work in 2019, establishing Aakre Home Services.

Aakre Home Services offers handyman and home remodeling solutions throughout the Twin Cities, addressing everyday issues and larger renovation projects. With our licenses and insurance, we take pride in fixing your problems or realizing your dreams, offering complimentary consultations to explore your requirements and budget to determine our compatibility.

Since his youth on a farm in western Minnesota, Josh has been enthusiastic about creating and building. As a licensed and insured General Contractor, Josh boasts over five years of professional experience as a handyman, carpenter, and installer, having worked for a leading construction firm in the Twin Cities before starting Aakre Home Services.

A true farm boy at heart, Josh applies his diligent work ethic to each client he serves. As a skilled jack of all trades, he relishes solving problems and taking on fresh projects for his clients. Passionate about turning houses into homes, Josh treats every project with exceptional care and quality. Outside of serving clients, Josh loves spending time with his wife, son, and golden retrievers around the White Bear Lake community.
