Plumber should have arrived after 4pm but instead arrived at 8:20pm. Got a call at 4pm stating they were running behind by a couple hours. My estimate was hardly worth the wait. It was going to be just under $350 to make a hole in my wall and that didn't include any other costs. The professional "leak detector" that wasn't in rotation yesterday did the same thing that I did.... Turned on the shower and listened.

First impression: Good.
Service: Nice.
I made a phone call today to get an estimate on my clogged toilet. I spoke to a representative named Kara and she was very nice and respectful the entire time. At one point, I had to get put on hold for about a minute when another representative accidentally picked up the wrong line. No problem as there was only a brief moment of confusion followed by a nice apology.
After exploring a few options, I agreed to schedule an appointment and have a plumber come out to inspect the problem. Currently, I don't have any idea what the costs will be; which I assume will be determined once the plumber comes by. It also seems they work on an open schedule depending on when a plumber becomes available. (Just got another call.) So far, their phone reps are quick, convenient, and keep me informed. If their plumbing service is as good as their phone service, then I will be looking quite forward to tomorrow.
3 stars. I likey so far.
*I will be updating this review once I see the plumber tomorrow morning.

I was contacted by the manager of AAA Auger and they admitted that there were problems with the job that they did and that I was charged incorrectly. They apologized and refunded the amount that I was overcharged. I have never had a business attempt to contact me regarding a review so that does build my confidence in the company. They did not ask me to edit or update my review but I felt that their effort to remedy the situation warranted it.

As usually happens in older homes such as ours, we recently had a bathtub hot water handle that would not turn off the water.. Now this was not a drip, it was a running faucet.. My husband thought he could fix it, but after much frustration and irritability he gave up and shut off the water. This was on a Friday night. I called AAA Auger and scheduled an appointment for Saturday after 10 am. At 10 am their representative called to let me know it would be a couple more hours but they would call ahead. They arrive in 45-50 minutes diagnosed my problem, gave me a quote went to pick up a part and had me back up and running in about an hour. Their price was reasonable and their technician was courteous and knowledgeable. I have saved them in my contacts and will definitely use them again. Great. Work

There are a lot of great aspects to owning your own home but, when things go wrong, you will re-think every last one of them. There were plumbing issues happening past the resolution skills of the big box plunger, and even the 'do it yourself' drain snake...it was time to "call someone".
Why is calling a plumber one of the most hated tasks of life? The appearance of the guy who shows up at the door? The surprise bill that knocks you over at the end of the job? Not knowing exactly what they are doing with "the best seat in the house"? Wondering when they are going to show up? AAA Auger addresses these issues as well as what's going on with the pipes.
After spending the night in a hotel (we are accustomed to indoor plumbing...) I called the next morning. The phone was answered quickly and professionally and I was told that everyone was currently out on a job but I could be placed on the waiting list and that someone would be able to come the same day but it might be later in the day. Since we were in a hotel, I was OK with that.
About 20 minutes later, I received a call that someone was available and he could be at my house in 20 minutes. I asked for 30 and we rushed home to find the van waiting for us!
Now, here's where the fears of calling a plumber start to further disappear....the van is unmistakable...it's not some independent dude showing up in a pickup truck that he probably takes hunting on the weekends. The vans are white and clean (and stocked with all the equipment one might need) with the company name in red on the sides. The plumber was in black pants with a red company shirt and, even though my floors are nothing to write home about, he put blue booties on over his work boots whenever he came inside.
He assessed the situation and, before starting any work, wrote up a quote for what he needed to do. What? I already know how much it's going to cost? This is REALLY the price? Hmmmm....has to be a catch in here somewhere...OH, what's the hourly rate?!?! Oh, there is none? Well, OK, then let's proceed!
He worked outside for about an hour, clearing the pipes of some roots that had invaded, and then let me watch over his shoulder as he used the "See Snake" to visually inspect the rest of the pipe running the length of the house (a nice way for me to tell if I might have any foundation issues going on!) I was informed and kept in the loop every step of the way which helped me learn a little bit more about my house. He also wrote up a quote for how much it would cost to completely repair the pipe, should I decide to do that in the future, but there was no pressure or unnecessary drama to make me believe I needed to schedule that right away.
It was all over as quickly as it had started and it was about as painless as it could be. I printed off a $20 coupon from their website which was happily accepted and there were no surprise fees added on. Not long after he left, I received a follow-up call from the office making sure the problem had been fixed and that I was satisfied with the service. Definitely!
I originally found this business on the Shepherd's Guide website and then came to Yelp to check out other reviews. I know not everyone's experience is perfect, and there are 3 sides to every story (yours, theirs and the truth), but I'm making this review my first Yelp review because I had a great experience. I know there are other homeowners like me who, at some point, are going to need to "call someone" and I want to recommend AAA Auger as someone you can trust with your investment of your home.
Now, if anyone asks me if I can recommend a plumber, I'm able to say why yes, I DO have a plumber AND one I can feel good referring to other people!

Three years ago we had a leaking gas pipe at Christmas. They over charged, used a trencher to replace the line and tore up every utility in the ground, without even owning up to doing it.
Three years ago, almost to the day, the risers near the house failed, which they put in.
Yes, dealing with the nightmare of gas/city inspector yet again.

We just moved in our house and within a couple days the drainage pipe to the sewer was backed up. We called late in the evening around 9:45pm and was told someone would be out first thing in the morning. When Carlos got there he addressed the problem and clearly explained the situation to me. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and the cost was great. Will definitely use them again if I need to.

We came home today at 6 p.m. this evening & heard a spraying sound coming from the backyard. My husband went & checked it out and found water spraying from a newly replaced faucet, like a geyser, that a another plumber had fixed 4 weeks prior. We called this plumbing company (has the word "free" in it) asked if he could come out but he said he was out of town & seemed unconcerned & said he would come out on Monday. He told my husband to get a wrench & try to tighten it which my husband tried but could not repair it. I looked at plumbers on Yelp & saw AAA Auger had a 5-star rating so we called them at 7:30 p.m. & Jon rang our door bell at 8:25p.m. He replaced the faucet (which he said was an old style & weren't used anymore!) which the previous plumber had installed, & stabilized it & was done at 8:45 p.m. He was friendly & professional. The price we paid was reasonable--plus we got a free estimate by mentioning we were Yelp customers. They were awesome! I'll definitely use them again & spread the word about AAA Auger!

I was impressed with the quick service appt and tge honest and professional service. I will be calling them for future plumbing needs. Few years ago I had a tree root that clogged my sewer line and had AAA Plumber come out to clear the pipe after a stoppage. Last couple of weeks I notice slow drainage from my guest bath toilet and got concerned with possible regrowth or new tree root issue. On Sunday night it was very slow so before any accident I called AAA Auger. They answered on a Sunday and scheduled someone to come out Monday by 3 (I requested Mon since it wasn't an emergency to work around my schedule). I received couple calls Monday letting me know their ETA. Around 3p, Juan arrived. Very professional and helpful. He went over everything with me, checked all my drains (not just guest toilet), visually checked both drains outside to see if I truly had a clog, tested flow of water from flush and by turning on all water, etc. After few checks and showing me results and explaining everything he informed me I didn't have a clog but that perhaps those few times were just slow flush/drain. He honestly explained everything and said he didn't need to run the snake and charge me bc that would be unnecessary expense. Rather he gave me some tips on what to do, estimate of work if it does clog and requires service, and left after 45min of checking everything out. He could've done the unnecessary work and charged me, but instead he was honest and provided true service and help(tips). Within an hour I received a call following up with the service and wondering why I decline service to see if it was due to any dissatisfaction. I explained and gave them praise for being honest and the great service by Juan.

I waited two days for a plumber to come and do an inspection for water leaks. When the plumber arrived he wrote an invoice for repairs that needed to be done instead of verifying that there were no leaks in my condo. I continued to ask him if he could give me an inspection; that is what I request, however, it is not what I received. The plumber gave me an invoice. I asked him repeatedly for a inspection report but never got it. I will not use this company again and think that any plumbing company should be able to provide an inspection report.
