Not an easy company to work with if you have questions on the quote and want to discuss further. I ended up looking for another plumber and they quoted for HALF the price that A1 gave me, with much better customer service too.
This place must prey on ignorant people and people who do not bother to get a 2nd opinion. Total rip off.

I wish I could give this company zero stars. I had an issue with no hot water in my rental property, so I filed a service request through my home warranty. A1 Phoenix Plumbing was sent out to diagnose the problem. The technician determined that the shut-off valve and the flexible water line needed to be replaced, both of which were covered by my warranty. However, the technician also quoted me $1,200 to replace the main shut-off valve for the water line, which wasn't covered since it was outside the foundation.

The company refused to repair the covered parts unless I agreed to the out-of-pocket valve replacement, even though I had never had an issue with the main shut-off valve. I decided to get a second opinion from another licensed plumber, who replaced the diagnosed valve for a third of the price. After the repair, there was still no hot water. The new plumber informed me that the actual problem was with the water heater itself.

As a result, I had to request another contractor through my home warranty to reassess the water heater, costing me nearly $500 due to the initial misdiagnosis. When I contacted A1 Phoenix Plumbing's main office to discuss the issue, the person I spoke to showed no apology or concern. I strongly recommend avoiding this company.

Not sure why so many negative reviews - we had Jefferson for our technician and he resolved our slow drain using a snake. Only complaint is he didn't put anything down to catch any water that dumped out. He cleaned it up but I'd rather it be caught first with less clean up. Other than that, I'm happy with this service call that I got through Select Home Warranty. There's a 30 day warranty on the drain unclogging work.

I recently hired this company to renevate my entire house after I experienced water damage from some bad pipes in my bathroom. They fixed the pipes and repaired everything in my house. From the floor panels, cabinets, kitchen sink, updated my bathroom and painted the entire inside of my house. They dont just do plumbing. They do everything. The were awesome. Their labor prices are very competitive.

This plumber didn't know what he was talking about. Got stuck with him through AHS. Would never use him if I had to call from the google pages. Quality: Zero. Didn't fix anything! Just charged service call.

This company came to my property to fix a work order from insurance. They charged my insurance but the issue was not fixed and would not come back to resolve the issue and left my bathroom toilet leaking. I do not recommend that you go with this company. You will be more from me soon.

If American Home Shield (AHS) assigns you to A1, REQUEST ANOTHER VENDOR IMMEDIATELY!!! All of the 1 star reviews about this company are accurate. They are shady as all get out! They will not provide you with proper documentation, charge you excess credit card fees, the dispatch staff will lie to you and lie to AHS, and they do not answer their phone. They will schedule city inspections without completing their work, and then threaten to charge you if you reschedule the city inspection, along with charging their own set of non-disclosed fees if you cancel the city inspection because they didn't finish the job or do it correctly. No wonder the staff has their back turned on the website, because they will literally turn their back on you. If American Home Shield refuses to assign you to another contractor (like they did me because ""they don't got off of reviews""), then my condolences to you. I am so sorry. My advice; document, document, document! Document everything. And I do mean everything. Document what AHS tells you, A1 tells you, who you speak with, times, dates, everything! I mean everything! Then be prepared to submit complaints to all agencies, Federal Trade Commission, California Department of Insurance, Contractors State License Board, and Better Business Bureau for both A1 and AHS. If you so happen to have access to or know an attorney, pray to a God, higher self, etc..,use those resources as well, because you are going to need them. Lastly, put your boxing gloves on, because you are going to have to fight with A1 and AHS. Good luck to you dealing with both of these HORRIFIC companies.
