Terrible customer service. Take your money elsewhere. The owner, who dropped the ball on my expedited service order, never returned my calls. And the receptionist had the personality of an affected teenager who couldn't be bothered with basic customer service etiquette. I hope American Home Shield rethinks their contract.

I was paired with this company by my home warranty company. The company never called my tenant or me to schedule an appointment. My tenant had to call their office three times, over the course of three days to schedule an appointment. Then, I had to call them to follow through with them going to the appointment. The work order was for a leaking tub and a slow drip faucet. The tub had a crack in the bottom - obviously my concern was that there was a cracked drainage pipe below the tub causing water to sit below the tub, causing wood rot, hence a cracked tub. The plumber that finally came out only diagnosed that the tub was cracked, which was causing the leak. He was unable to repair the slow drip faucet at that time because he needed parts, understandable. Well, the plumber showed up two days later, Friday evening at 6pm with no scheduled appointment, no call ahead to the tenant or myself to fix the slow drip faucet. I think this is very unprofessional, but hey, the faucet got fixed. OK, now the tub. Obviously one cannot make a full diagnosis of leaking pipes or not if the tub is covering up the pipes. But, somehow this plumber had x-ray vision and determined the only cause of the leak was due to the tub crack and closed out the work order. The company never called me with the diagnosis, never called me with a quote to replace the tub, never called me to discuss any follow-up appointments. Well, we the homeowners, took the tub out ourselves over the weekend. The following Monday I asked the company to come back out to inspect the drain lines to ensure there is no leak which would have caused water to sit under the tub causing the crack in the tub. I was assured someone would be there that day - no one showed up. So, I called Tuesday morning to speak with someone about this ongoing issue. I was put in touch with Joe. Joe interrupted me every three words into my sentence and told me "it is a no-brainer the leak is caused by the tub crack, we will not come back out there because we do not work for free, and to call my home warranty company," and hung-up on me. Needles to say, this was beyond unprofessional and just plain rude. I then went ahead and hired my own plumber to come out and look at the bathroom. Low and behold, the drain line was cracked, causing water to leak and sit under the tub, causing wood rot, causing the tub to crack. Pretty amazing what you can find when you actually diagnosis an issue. A+ Value Rooter, hah, more like F-.

Dont use them! They were also sent to us by American Home Shield and they never showed up. First time they said they would come after 5 on a Friday and there was no call no show. Second time they were supposed to come by on Tuesday and they would call me an hour before, but same results as Friday. Terrible service overall!

Update...this is hilarious! D-minus Value Rooter actually contacted AHS and requested a $75 fee via invoice. Extremely poor customer service (can't seem to tell the truth) and questionable business practices. STAY AWAY.

Our home warranty company assigned our claim to this company. It was by far the absolute worst customer service experience we have ever had, whether through home warranty or independently. We opened the claim on Sunday, and as indicated they did contact us on Monday.... to tell me a tech was on his way, not to schedule mind you. Like most people, we work, so I scheduled for Thursday in order to make arrangements to be off work. By 4:30pm Thursday we had not heard a word. We called and they said they had a truck go down. Fine. Things happen. However, they apparently had no intention of calling to let us know. They offered to reschedule for Friday, and when we asked for a time they said they would call us back. We never received that call. Friday morning we called and they said they could put us back on their schedule. Seriously? We should have never been taken off the schedule. They missed their window AGAIN on Friday morning, and when we callled they continually put us on hold and would not take our call. Their dispatch and scheduling department is completely unprofessional and incompetent. They wasted a day and a half of our time. We finally just cancelled with the warranty company. Use their services at your own risk. They have been reported to our warranty company.

Sent to us by America Home Shield for clogged drain. They blew the pipes under the sink apart but trying to create a pressure difference while covering the outlets and running the disposal. Something was in the disposal the whole time and it cracked the disposal. Then tried to get us to pay an extra $250 to get the clog out. They did not clean up the mess they made and left, saying they would be back, but never returned. We had to have a different company sent out to unclog the drain, which took no more than 15 minutes. The garbage disposal is now spreading water all over the underneath of the sink, but they are trying to claim that they didn't touch a thing. Do not use this company!

My warranty company referred this company to me for a water heater replacement. They quoted me for modifications that were not covered by my warranty and the parts were extremely marked up.
Expansion Tank= $327.00
Hard Pipe Modification= $185.00
Pan Replacement= $150.00
-- I ended up cashing out with my home warranty and bought my own parts from Home Depot.
Expansion Tank= $40.92
Hard Pipes= $40.41
Aluminum Drip Pan= $17.98

I ended up getting my water heater replaced the same day and total cost for parts plus labor I paid $495.18.
My warranty cash out was enough to cover the entire cost.
IF I would have opted to use this company, my warranty company would have paid them $471.50 PLUS my out of pocket expense for the modifications of $477.00
We're talking $948.50 for a new water heater....

Needless to say, I was about to be extremely overcharged just for these parts.
I would not recommend this company simply because I want to trust a company to be honest, fair, and trust worthy. I have no knowledge about water heaters, but I know how to compare and do research to ensure I am getting the best cost for my hard earned money.
I understand small businesses have to mark up and make profit, BUT this overage was not within reason.

I got quotes from two other companies prior to opting to repair on my own and other companies quotes for the same job were at least 35% lower than A+.

Good Luck and hope this was helpful!

These guys are crooks. My Home warranty company picked them to replace my water heater. First it took them more than a week to come out (lucky my leaking water heater is in the garage and not the attic). Then, In front of me they spent the entire time writing a laundry list of up charges and extra stuff that needed to be replaced and brought up to code, including them arguing about min hour charges their owner requires now for these warranty jobs over what the warranty company is willing to pay for and the other guy saying, but we're not suppose to talk about that in front of the customer, sheesh, no brains on these guys. So finally they get back with me and tell me the warranty place will pay for $450 for a new water heater (Makes Sense), and then my part is $1250 on top of that to install it. WOW, I looked up the "Up" charges they wanted to add, Water Heater Stand and Expansion Tank prices ($50 each, plus parts) to realize they are trying to charge me $1100 in labor to install the water heater. They were rude and not helpful at all on the phone.

I purchased a water heater from lowes for $400, bought the extra parts on amazon and installed it in about 2 hours.

These guys are top of the line when it comes to service! Very professional, extremely patient, and respectful. They explained things three different ways until I understood, and never made me feel less than a scholar. ;) I will not hesitate to call them again!
