A+ Value Rooter was recommended to me by TotalProtect home warranty company. I should have been concerned when they were rude on my very first phone call. I told them of my toilet issue--when toilet was flushed, the bowl would fill to top, then drain out at the floor level... through the bolts... onto the floor. A+ Value was less than interested in hearing about the problem. They scheduled a service date with me for a Friday, 4 days later. They said they would come out between 8-5:00 and could not narrow down the window of time. I took a whole day off work. I called at 9am to find out where I might be on the list of daily service appts. Lady was rude. I was told I was #4 in line. At 3:30, I called back and I could hear ladies laughing in background. They said I was next customer in line. At 4:45, they called to say they would need to reschedule for Monday--sometime between 8-5:00! I was so mad. I told them about taking off a day of work, waiting all day, etc. I said I still wanted them to come, even if it was after 5:00. Lady said, "Sorry. Nothing we can do. We're not coming tonight. Do you want Monday or not?" I asked if she could narrow down time window so I would not have take a full day off work. "Nope." I was in the middle of telling her that I needed to get this fixed and I needed them to work with me on the times... and SHE HUNG UP ON ME! Extremely unprofessional! Who are these people?

I immediately called TotalProtect to report them. They took a note of the very poor service and recommended a new plumbing service provider.

I would NOT recommend A+ Value Plumbing. Save yourself the headache.

Just as many stated, if I could give 0 stars I would. The sad part is I was not able to review the work the actual technicians did because of the office staff!

I had been out of hot water for roughly 1 week. American Home shield sent the service call through A+ Value Rooter and they were booked through for the following week (2 weeks of no hot water before they would come... in January). I spoke with the staff and scheduled my appointment, or should I mention just the day. No TIME or at minimum a time bracket. I was told I need to call the day of to know what time approx. the technician could come out. I agreed (since my choices were limited given the circumstances). The day of the scheduled appointment, I called to inquire on the time. It was mentioned that it would be afternoon or later. I then commented that I would be at work, but give me a call and then I would give my wife a call to tell her the plumber was on his way. I gave her number and then specifically stated DO NOT call my wife until you have called me first (wife works 3rd shift so if an unknown number calls while she's sleeping she will ignore it). Well of course THEY call my wife only. The message they gave was that she had 10 minutes to call back in order to keep the appointment. 10 min!!! Well our luck and the luck of great technology, AKA Time logs on iPhones, she called in 8 min (she happen to wake up in time and happen to check her phone). When she spoke with the receptionist, she she stated my wife took too long to call back and we would have to reschedule for next week!!!!!! Crazy!! Words were exchanged and as they say 'the customer is always right', well in this case, the receptionist was unaware and showed her lack of professionalism. She yelled back and hung up on my wife. My wife called the manager and was told that the girl is new and made a mistake. But we would still have to wait the following week.

NO WAY! Unacceptable, especially when it was a mistake the company made. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. This was my first review EVER and given the situation, I felt it a duty to write out our experience with this company.

I have used this company before ( through home warranty company) technicians are good at their job but that's not enough, office staff and even their so called assistant manager are extremely unprofessional, they book you an appointment and they take you off without telling you, or they book you over the phone but never enters it into their data base, so basically you are waiting and waiting all day and when calling to find out the ETA they'll tell you , you are NOT on their schedule.. such a hassle to deal with them.. I hope the owners would consider a change to the staffing as they are the face of the company and this could easily ruin their reputation but with all the negative reviews I'm reading I'm not so shocked if the company being flagged by BBB for unethical business practice.

RIP-OFF REPORT. I do not recommend this company. This company does not finish work. They made my bathtub worse and said they had to order parts and never came back. My home warranty company had to call another company because they would not respond. I had already paid my $60.00 co-pay. I wish I could give this company 0 stars.

They were sent to us by American Home Shield, which I would also give 0 stars if I could.

A+ came out to fix a faulty flapper on our toilet, and take a look at our sink. The plumber "didn't have the part" to fix the flapper, despite the fact that this is a basic repair. They also didn't have what they needed to fix our sinks.

So we wait almost two weeks for a follow-up appointment. The return plumber fixed the flapper on the toilet, but again was unable to fix our sink.

So the plumber comes a third time, disconnects our sink and strips out all the caulking, and then states that he will need to come back a fourth time to fix it! Well, the fourth time was today - we took the whole day off work (more on that below) and A+ calls and says they will not fix our sink until we make repairs to the hole in the counter where the faucet is mounted. After going around and around, and speaking with a manager, we convince them to come out and at least get our faucet back in working condition. During all of this mess, a washer was lost off the bottom of the faucet and they refused to replace even that until we "fix our counter".

This was the worst plumbing experience of my life. They are totally incompetent at plumbing. Their workers are filthy and grimy - and not uniformed I might add. Furthermore, their service is appallingly rude. They won't give you a time window, so you have to take the whole day off of work. They call you to tell you when the technician is coming, but if you don't (or can't) answer, and don't call back within 10 minutes, they CANCEL the call. These people are absurd.

Never use A+. Never use AHS. Crap companies, crap customer service, crap work. Awful beginning to end.

So we contacted our Home Warranty company this morning and they stated that we would be receiving a call from another company other then A+, however A+ is who called to schedule an appointment. My mother told them that there would be someone at the house until 2:00pm today and after that it would have to be tomorrow. They stated they would send a tech out. At 2:00pm I received a phone call which why they called my number is not understood and the lady on the message was very RUDE stating that I had 10 minutes to call them or their TECH was moving on. Called my mom and she had already left to head to work but my daughter was there and no one had come to our house. My Mom called the lady back and she was very rude to my mom stating that the TECHs waited for over 10 minutes(keep in mind the call came to me at exactly at 2:00pm by my phone log and we had 10 minutes to call them back before the Techs moved on. My mother called them back immediately and returned home by 2:08 and no Techs) and that their next available was not till Friday. I AM APPALLED THAT THIS LADY LIED AND WAS SO RUDE.

UPDATE: Tech showed up at 2:45pm ready to work on my problem and Tech could not apologize enough about the RUDE lady and that they never told her they were sitting at my house that they were on their way to our house. I allowed them to fix the issue and the owner told the TECH to make it right.... which they replaced my whole faucet with an upgraded faucet then what they were authorized to install my warranty company authorized just to try and make it right. I appreciate that but I am still very upset that it was handled so unprofessionally that I won't be quick to have them back.

Horrible company! They did NOT complete the job the first time they came out. I called and asked them to come out and complete the job and they refused to unless I payed my home warranty service fee...again! The lady I talked to the first time I called hung up on me when I told her the job wasn't done right. Got a manager on the phone when I called back and was accused of calling the other lady nasty names. I am in shock! The "professional" who came out didn't do the job right and when I questioned him he said it was fine, he replaced this and that. GO WITH SOME ONE WHO IS PROFESSIONAL WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND TREATS CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT.

they came like they said they would and they fixed like they were suppose to do.
A no frill, all Plumber couple of guys who know their stuff,no fancy no uniforms but know
what they are doing.
If I need a plumber again yes sir you betcha I will call them again.
I called and talked to Crystal and she told me when to expect them it was painless, quick and no bull

I have never written a review because I believe in Karma. But A+ Value Rooter should not be in business. Not only did they have the worst service I have ever experience in my life, but my Home Warranty company decided to run an audit on their services and quickly decided to cancel the partnership for all future work!

But if that doesn't convince you, let me give you the facts so you can make your own judgement call. My home is covered by a home warranty company and I was given A+ Value Rooter for my water heater replacement service. Let me start with the simple facts:

After being told they would call and schedule an appointment within 48 hours, I called them on the third day to see why they hadn't called yet. They said they were too busy to reach out to me. They said they could make an appointment 5 days out. They were supposed to come out to the house within 24 hours, not 7 days.

They came out, checked the issue and said they needed to replace the water heater and would call us back in 24 hours to schedule the installation. Ok, things seemed to be moving along. Great,....right? No. I received no follow-up call. Two days later I called them, they said they were too buys to call back but was "willing" to schedule something a week out...the following Friday. WOW! 2 weeks and no hot water. I told them this was ridiculous and they promptly HUNG UP ON ME! Horrifyingly rude!

Friday came around and nobody showed up! I called. They said Monday. Ok, sure. Monday came around. They called and cancelled and said Wednesday. I asked to talk to the Manager and spoke with the assistant manager. She assured me Wednesday would happen and apologized for all the issues.

So this is where it got really bad. Wednesday came along and I received a phone call with one ring and no voicemail. I recognized the number and called back. "Hi, this is XXXX. I have a missed call from you." On the other line that lady said "not it" and hung up on me. WHAT? Are you 2 years old? You called me! I called back 2 more times and was hung up on both times.

Finally, I gave up and I called my home Warranty Company. The agent decided to call A+ Value Rooter himself. After being on hold for a little while, the agent can back and was horrified. He was hung up on them 4 times! This led to an A+ Value Rooter investigation by the Home Warranty company and prompt discontinue of service for all future work.

19 days and no hot water!

So, to summarize...A+ Value Rooter should not be in business. Shame on them for providing a truly horrifying experience to their customer AND partnering company.

Would give zeros stars as well if allowed. Home protection sent them over for the leak out of a wall. Had to wait 4 days for them to come out. Really, when water emergency, have to wait 4 days? Once they arrive , at once, without looking at it, said it was a basement leak (no, it was not at all, it was only a simple pipe leak). It was a simple plane sheetrock that covered the pipe and they even did not attempt to remove a sheetrock to get to the pipe. They said we have to get a contractor to remove the sheetrock. Was promised we did not have to wait in line again as we will have a priority since they already have been to our house. Ok. We got sheetrock removed next day. 4-5 days waiting again. We were promised on the phone that they will be able to come and fix it the same day, but said we don't have a priority over others and had to wait 4-5 days this time. I even told them what was wrong, as our insurance company sent out a much more qualified plumber to look at it for insurance claim purpose. A scheduler always spoke very fast, and was trying to get off the phone with you as soon as possible, without listening what I had to say. Ok, finally A+ plumber arrived, only to find he would NOT be able to fix the problem and had to wait another 3-4 days to actually fix it, getting back in line, because "the job was too big, I have to have a helper", etc etc excuses. Seriously, water coming out of the wall, and unable to fix it in 2 full weeks? By this time I did not want them even touching my pipes, and was glad to send them away. Never will let home protection send this company back to our house.
