I have used AJ Perri for many years. for everything from heating and cooling to a new water heater, and toilet replacement. However, this past Saturday I called schedule a sink facuet replacement at 12 PM. Was told by the service that they could actually come the same day. So great, I scheduled the appointment for 2P to 6P sometime around 3P I got a call saying they could not make it. Now to late for me to find someone else. I was told that I would be scheduled for Sunday (mothers day) between 8A-12P, fine. I called that Sunday to make certain they were coming told yes. At Noon I called and asked were is the plumber? Was told he is running late, when asked how late they told me 30 minutes. Fine, however, I again get a call back telling me they would be thier within the hour. They showed up at 1:30P. Looked at the sink and gave me price of $652.00. Now mind you I was supplying the facuet. So this translate out to just labor. The work took 30 minutes, so AJ Perri ripped us off!!! I had been a loyal customer for almost 2 decades and never felt so ripped off in my life. I didn't realize that AJ Perri is now a large corporation no longer a family owned business. I wish them well because I will never use them again for anything.

Your safety and health not a concern. Improperly installed a furnace without proper ventilation. did not pass inspection by county and leaving my family at risk of CO poisoning.

Purchased new AC in November 2023 and went to use it the first hot day last week April 2024 it did not work properly. It is still under warranty and I made 2 appointments for service. AJ Perri did not maintain the allotted time and canceled. They called me to reschedule and I asked to be the first appointment of the day because I already wasted 2 days waiting and they declined.
I called the quality assurance number 732 982-8700 and was taken to the same number I called for the appointments. No manager no quality assurance. Josh Perri is the salesman that sold the unit does not respond to inquiries either. This company has poor customer service and has been fined by the State of New Jersey for their business practices in the past .

Company came out to give me a quote on a new boiler. Their quote was $23K for a 100,000 btu steam Weil Mclain boiler, installed . I told the representative his quote is the highest I received. ( I have received other quotes as low as $8K for the boiler including installing it. The boiler itself retails for around $4K ) He emails me later in the day with a new price of $16,100. for the job! So I guess A.J. Perri thinks it's fine to try to grossly overcharge a customer. Buyer beware !

This will be my last year with them. I have a warranty on my heating and air conditioning, and in the last couple of years it has become a major effort to get them to come for service. You make a date, and halfway through the window they call and say he's running late and he'll be here 3 hours later! Most times that cuts into the dinner hour. This spring I have so far had my AC tune-up appointment rescheduled four times and I'm still waiting for him to come today. I'll go with another company from now on.

They installed a furnace that did not pass inspection and 3 months later have not corrected situation. T make matters worse they deny any contact I had with them since furnace failed inspection despite the fact that they had two techs come out. hard to imagine that they randomly sent out techs, but they are clearly not trust worthy. i was totally ripped-ed off by this firm AJ PERRI . hired them to do HVAC maintenance and paid them for same, they didn't clean or maintenance anything, only came out and said, the system is old, they will send someone to sell me a new one, then quoted a price 2200+ tax to clean the HVAC system. the man told me it would take him 8 hours, he said, all day, to clean the coil. Knowing my system was only 8 years old, I called another firm. The other firm came out on Monday this week 4/15/24, totally cleaned the coil with chemicals and hose off with water, removed any weeds that grew into the coil, charged me 130 dollars for the maintenance, the coil is spotless now and the AC is blowing strongly out all the vents. the worker AJ Perri sent here was so lazy, the individual didn't want to do anything other than sell a new system where a new system was totally not needed, they are a ripoff stay away. he quoted 8 hours of work and this other HVAC firm cleaned the coil and inspected the system all in under 2 hours. I was warned by a friend AJ perri is a rip off but tried them anyway, never again.

IF I could give this company ZERO stars I would, but I couldn't! Back in July, 2017, I had them install 4 mini-split units in my house. One of which was in a downstairs bedroom, my daughter's. In 2022 she passed away and her boyfriend was in such a state he just threw stuff out, one of which was the remote for that mini-split unit, along with other irreplaceable items. I have been calling and emailing A.J. PERRI FOR TWO YEARS for a replacement to no avail! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!! Their customer service stinks, they give you the runaround, they lie to you saying they WILL take care of it, in this case, send a replacement remote and they DON'T!! That also installed my boiler in 2015 and, after several maintenance visits and the 1- poking a hole on a pipe; 2- putting too mush pressure & water in the boiler, I DON'T have them service it any longer. PROBLEM, when I call another place to service it and they ask WHO installed it and I tell them A.J.PERRI, there is dead silence and they say, emphatically, ""NO""! Now WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU ABOUT A.J. PERRI???? PLUS, they are over priced, as I found out later, much to my chagrin! BUYER BE TOTALLY AWARE OF THIS COMPANY! My NEXT step is the Better Business Bureau, then the Consumer Protection Agency. MAYBE THEN I'll get the replacement remote I've been asking for, for TWO YEARS now!

As a preventative measure, I have a sewer line snaked. A.J. has always been very reasonable on their pricing. They quoted me based on the coupon they had on the website. I agreed with the $123 charge plus tax and 10 minutes prior to their arrival, they informed me that the charge was $279 plus tax. because I was a repeat customer. No where did they say on their coupon that it was only for new customers. I have had them do other work in the past, but never more...they just didn't care! By the looks of the 1-1/2 star rating on Yelp, I guess I am not the only one that feels this way!

I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by AJ Perri for the installation and subsequent maintenance of my furnace and AC unit. Two years ago after paying them $17,000, I entrusted them with the installation, expecting reliable service and support. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory.

Within just one year of installation, the condensate pump malfunctioned, leading to a partial flood in my basement. When I reached out to AJ Perri, they initially assured me that the part was under warranty. However, upon inspection by their technician, I was informed that the repair would cost $600, in addition to a $160 visitation fee. This discrepancy between what was promised and what was delivered was both frustrating and unacceptable.

More recently, my furnace encountered another issue with the inducer motor. In the freezing temperatures in mid-February, the motor stopped functioning, causing the furnace to shut down. They sent out a tech to temporarily fix the issue while they ordered the necessary part that needed to be replaced. 3 weeks after the initial inducer motor issue, the motor stopped working again today. I called aj perri reporting that i have lost heat, requesting them to send out a tech to fix the issue. They informed me that a tech will not be coming out until the part arrives. it has been over 3 weeks since they ordered the part and they don't know when it will come in. until then they have no fix and i am without any heat in almost freezing temperatures.

Taking things into my own hands, i did a quick google search on the inducer motor and it was available for next day shipping on amazon.

My experience with AJ Perri has been marred by unreliability, unfulfilled promises, and a clear inclination towards extracting additional charges from customers. Customers deserve a service provider that prioritizes their needs and delivers on their promises, qualities which AJ Perri has regrettably failed to demonstrate.
