Since 2009, when Arnold started A Deal Plumbing, he and his sons have provided superb Master-Plumber-licensed service for my old (1960) house and other old houses around my neighborhood.

For me, this work includes many minor plumbing jobs like snaking out fragile cast iron pipes successfully, and several major jobs, including rebuilding the sewage line running from the house to the "cleanout" near the sewer (the original Orangeburg pipe collapsed) and jackhammering through the foundation to take out a useless old trap that was blocking water drainage from the kitchen to the rest of the house.

For sure, if A DeaL Plumbing can fix plumbing issues in the old houses around here, houses built in the 1950s and 1960s, they can fix any plumbing problem!

A major positive of A DeaL Plumbing is that every bit of the plumbing work they've done has been great. No need to redo anything.

Another major positive is that if a job doesn't need some expensive fix, they'll tell you that a cheaper fix can be done--and their prices for all work are very reasonable compared to other plumbers.

Last, they are unfailingly respectful, and very, very nice!

For 15 years, this company has been a business I have relied on, a rare, special gift in my long life.

I was assigned to them by American Home Shield to have them come and repair my garbage disposal. It was making a noise like a freight train so loud it hurt my ears. The person there would not call me, he just wanted to text. I finally got an appointment, which I could not be there and had left a key.

They came on Friday but never called or anything. I had to call them, again only text. The man said that it was unjammed and was working fine. I went there the next day in person and when I turned it on, there was no change, it was not working and was loud as ever. They also left a box of work towels on the counter.

I called them back, but again nothing but text. I told the man that there was no change in its operation and was very loud and not spinning. Then he said that he told AHS that it was making making noise but there was no mechanical failure so they would not replace it and said I had to purchase a new one. I told him his diagnosis was wrong and he argued with me and cussed me out using th F' word. I had a new disposal and just wanted to get it over with but now I could not get him to come back out.

I have never experienced such an unprofessional in my life! Disposals can only get jammed or throw the breaker. Anything else has to be mechanical failure. There is a hole in the bottom for an allen wrench to unjam or a button which is a circuit breaker. If the thing is locked up and has no jam but sounds like a freight train, then it is mechanical failure. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! NO COMMUNICATION! IDIOTS! WARNING BEWARE!

I had a plumbing emergency the day after Christmas and after calling numerous plumbers, A Deal were the only ones to answer my call and agree to come out that same day. They did show up, promptly fixed our issue and charged way less than I expected due to the holidays. They were also very responsive throughout the day, staying in communication with me through text messages. I love this business, highly recommend.

He has also been helpful in diagnosing what's really going on, and coming up with a practical way to address it (since it's not always perfect timing for a huge plumbing project). Arnold is an awesome guy. So nice and kind. We did a remodel job with him and his sons and cousin 4-5 years ago. They we all amazing. I didn't know much then. He was patient with me and they did amazing job! Since then, every time I need plumbing work. No surprise I called Arnold first. I trust him. He helps me and guide me every time. When we had winter storm came, after the freeze, our tankless water heater broke. He came to check in a couple of days when he could drive. He is so busy but still responded every time. Always thinking about how to help you solve the problem. I love working with him and his family. He is my go to person always.

Unreliable. An appointment was made and confirmed, but they did not show up or communicate. My wife waited at home all morning, and tried multiple times to contact them but heard nothing in return. While I understand there may be extenuating circumstances, it is disappointing that such a highly-rated business would treat a potential customer in this manner.

I found my new plumber!! His son came out to reposition a gas line for my new stove. He was quick and friendly.. I also had him install new bath tub fixtures afterwards since his pricing was reasonable , by this time Arnold came out to help. He answered all my questions and made me feel like I wasn't getting my eyes poked like the big companies. I totally recommend this plumber. It's hard these days to find a company that is reasonable knowledgeable and doesn't take advantage of people. Don't hesitate to call if you need Plumbing done !

BEST PLUMBING SERVICE IN AUSTIN!!!!!! I called A DeaL after a large alphabetical acronym service company cancelled my plumbing appointment about halfway through my 4 hour window. The time was ~6:30pm, it was the college football national championship game night, and day 4 of us knowing we had a significant leak (we made then other appointment 3 days prior) needless to say I needed help. Arnold (the owner) answered, heard my request, said he could be here in 20 minutes. Once he arrived he assessed the situation, gave me a quote and starting working. He had also called his sons (who work for him) to assist, they arrived after about 10 mins. They worked together quickly, found the source of the leak (a cheap fix on our main line before we bought the hiuse), fixed it, cleaned up, and knocked $200 off the price Arnold had originally given me, all in under 2 hours. I can't imagine having a better experience with a larger service provider (given what I already experienced). If you're looking for a plumber to solve your problem swiftly to install new plumbing pipes and fixtures, earn your business, and support local Austin family owned businesses I can't imagine a better company than A DeaL.
