I met Max one night while he was doing a job at night for a neighbor. I ended up using A-1 when I found my main line had a leak in the meter box.
Max replaced old rusted 3/4"" galvanized with brand a brand new copper line and shut off. We now have great water pressure and temperature control is also improved greatly.
Total it took about two hours for the job because I dug the trench myself to lower the cost. He also had a cool kit that he used to dig the hole under the sidewalk which was a big help as that is the hardest part to complete the trench, he was able to do it very easily.
I would recommend A-1 Rooter and Plumbing, Inc with 5 stars and will use them in the future.

Our water heater went out late Friday, we didn't get a chance to deal with it until the weekend. I found Max on Yelp, and the reviews seemed really positive. You're always taking a chance when relying on reviews - perhaps they're fake?

I called on Saturday morning, Max was there that morning checking it out. Quoted us a price for a basic fix, very fair price. Turned out it was more complicated said he'd be back on Monday first thing to diagnose and fix. Max got the parts we needed and he fixed it all really quickly and reliably. He gave us a legible invoice, explained everything to us, got everything back up and running. The price was more than fair, and he was more than reliable. I can't say enough nice things about Max and A-1, he did everything you could hope he would do, quickly, expeditiously and friendly.

The positive reviews of A-1 are definitely not fake! He's the real deal!

Quick, courteous, and reasonably priced. Max was so helpful and expedient. I had a leak and had to turn my hot water off to prevent flooding my side yard. He squeezed me in at the end of a long day to make sure I had water ASAP. At a reasonable hourly rate, he was able to take care of swapping out a kitchen faucet, toilet fill valve and flapper, and cap off an old corroded recirculation pump that was no longer in use (the source of the leak) in under an hour. After just one experience with Max, I realize how inept and inconvenient my previous plumbers have been. I wish I'd met Max years ago for all my plumbing needs. Finally, a plumber I can whole heartedly recommend to my real estate clients and friends for plumbing repairs.

Max came down on a short notice this new year's eve as I had a bad clog upstairs in two bathrooms. He had given me a reasonable quote and he stuck to his word when he was finished with the job. He was reasonable being that it's new year's eve. Max was reliable, efficient, and down to earth. We had placed other calls and it made us feel that we would be in for a real surprise for a typical clog job. Good thing we decided on Max!

I own an old English Tudor whose plumbing, badly installed when the house was built, has always caused me problems. Our guest toilet clogs often and always needs a rooter to unclog.
Happened again last week but my usual rooter guy was on a large job, my backup guy was also unavailable. I called A-1 and Max answered. He listened and showed up a few hours later when He said he would. He arrive with plunger in hand. I told him he'd need the rooter but he laughed and said he understood ""uncooperative toilets, especially older ones. He started plunging while explaining how the newer design dynamics were more efficient but he welcomed the challenge. When I was sure he was about to give up he changed the plunging angle and voila! A loud gurggle sounded and he stepped back with a smile and the toilet flushed perfectly!!! MAX THE MAGICIAN WAS IN THE HOUSE! With new faith I told him of a few reoccuring problem I had and he quoted a price and promised to return the next day. He did and as on his previous visit, left everything in perfect order! AND...charfged me twenty dollars less then he'd quoted because he said he'd found the old style parts easier than he thought he would. Does this sound like a fairy tale? CALL MAX AND FIND OUT!!!

I was blown away by Max professionalism and knowledge! I do not write reviews very often but A-1 Rooter & Plumbing, Inc. deserves this review after a quick response, fair price and a very fast and professional job! My problem was solved in such a timely manner that my wife has Max card on the refrigerator door!
Great job, highly recommended!

Called for clogged toilet. They were unable to fix it with the equipment on hand and quoted me $450 for a bigger snake and to complete the job. I called BM Plumbing and they were able to do the job for less than $200. And I had to pay $75 to A1, ugh. To be fair, Max did try fixing the problem for an hour.

Honest advice and reasonable rates. I was willing to do more extensive work to fix my issues but A1 suggested a simpler solution. All is working well now.
