I do not write reviews very often but A-1 Rooter & Plumbing, Inc. deserves this review after a quick response, fair price and a very fast and professional job! My problem was solved in such a timely manner that my wife has Max card on the refrigerator door!

Called for clogged toilet. They were unable to fix it with the equipment on hand and quoted me $450 for a bigger snake and to complete the job. I called BM Plumbing and they were able to do the job for less than $200. And I had to pay $75 to A1, ugh. To be fair, Max did try fixing the problem for an hour.

Honest advice and reasonable rates. I was willing to do more extensive work to fix my issues but A1 suggested a simpler solution. All is working well now.

I've used him twice, and was satisfied with the work and the price both times. Max is reasonably priced, does good work and is honest. We have had problems with our housecleaners putting unflushable things such as paper towels in the toilet and clogging our main line. Max was able to determine the cause of the clog and retrieve some of the paper towels so we had evidence to go back to the cleaning service with. I appreciate that he stated the price up front both times and there were no surprises.

Today, I had a gas range delivered from Pacific Sales only to find out that the contractor in charge of the kitchen remodel plumbed the gas fixture incorrectly.
Frustrated, my husband and I started calling around to see if anyone could come and re-plumb the gas fixture (We have been without a kitchen for 6 months, so we just wanted the stove plumbed and working pronto.) We called Max and explained the situation. Even though he was jam packed with clients today, he squeezed us in. Not only that, but he came ASAP. He was amazing!!! He corrected the contractors mistake efficiently and in a matter of minutes the range was working. Hooray Max!!!
We will be using Max again!!!

I would give this 0 stars if I could but unfortunately I do not have that option. This guy came to look at my sink and to unclog the shower drain. He did the shower drain, but did absolutely nothing for my sink. In fact, the sink was worse after he ""looked"" at it. Now it is leaking, the sink strainer washers are completely shot, as well as the nut. I have to get a new tail pipe. I probably can just do this myself watching YouTube videos and save myself a whole lot of money!

I have no idea how this clown has a 5 star rating. We called Max for a clogged garbage disposal in the kitchen sink .. he comes for 10 minutes says he fixed it and charges us $75 bucks. We think its working fine but the next day realize there is water leaking onto the kitchen floor from under the sink .. open the door to look under, and the pipes aren't even connected so there's water spraying everywhere!!! We try to call him back and have been trying for over a week with nothing but ring to voicemail over and over and over again! must have tried calling a hundred times and from multiple different phones. Has to be my worst plumbing experience ever... beware of people with high yelp ratings but a small sample size!! he probable paid his friends to leave reviews.

Amazing guy. Didn't charge me a cent. Here's the story: We had 10 people coming to our house for an event and I heard one of the toilets gurgling. That's usually a sign that the line is backed up and black grossness is about to come oozing from the tub and drain. I called Max, who answered the phone on one ring, told me his whereabouts and ETA and was here in less than an hour. He came, sniffed around, checked various drains, opened the cleanout valve, flushed toilets, sniffed some more, waited, watched, and concluded that the line was clean and that it was just an air bubble in the toilet and that all was well. He didn't charge me anything. I love when that happens. Thanks Max. Will call you again when the s*#t really starts to fly.

So glad that we found Max. He is the first plumber that I feel comfortable with to work on our plumbing issues. He is very friendly, confident, capable and honest. Before starting on a project, Max explains what he is about to do, digs right into fixing the problems, then gives you the details of what he has done. He also will tell you of possible future issues, especially when invasive tree roots are present. His prices are reasonable. We now consider Max as our go to plumber.
