I began my career in the 1970s and have worked for only a few employers. I kicked off my career with a family business run by Bruce Campbell in Laguna Beach, a knowledgeable person who launched a plumbing training program in 1933; I learned extensively from him. After that, I moved into commercial construction while studying business law at UC Irvine. I enjoyed building so much that I never looked back.

Eventually, I went back to Kansas and spent several years working for the president of PHCC. I moved to Lake Lotawana, just outside Blue Springs, MO, and worked for Frank Stasy, another member of PHCC. During this time, I met my wife; we got married and moved back to California, her home state. Afterward, I joined George Brazil, the president of the National PHCC. After their sale to consolidators, I took the leap to start my own business and have never looked back. It has been a fulfilling journey.
