I began my career in the 1970s and have worked for only a few employers. I kicked off my career with a family business run by Bruce Campbell in Laguna Beach, a knowledgeable person who launched a plumbing training program in 1933; I learned extensively from him. After that, I moved into commercial construction while studying business law at UC Irvine. I enjoyed building so much that I never looked back.

Eventually, I went back to Kansas and spent several years working for the president of PHCC. After that, I settled in Lake Lotawana, near Blue Springs, MO, working for Frank Stasy, another PHCC associate. It was in that period that I met my wife; we married and relocated back to California, where she was originally from. I then worked for George Brazil, the president of the National PHCC. After their sale to consolidators, I took the leap to start my own business and have never looked back. It has been a rewarding career.
